House, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6-8)
I, (Diane) was born and raised in this area and went to school at West Side/ Greers Ferry then finished at Heber Spring High School. This was my mother's home. Tom and I decided to change it to a Vacation Rental Home so others could see what a beautiful area Heber Springs AR is. We use it to enjoy visits with friends and family members that still live in Heber Springs and the Greers Ferry Area. After the loss of our youngest daughter from melanoma cancer, we are raising 2 of our 8 grandchildren so we can't use the home for retirement as early as we had planned. That gives 'all of you guest' more time to enjoy 'TwinsAcres' and Heber Springs AR. Happy Vacations Tom and Diane Lane
Diane purchased this House in 1975
Why Diane chose Heber Springs
Over the years I watched Heber Springs turn into a very beautiful place to vacation. I watched the rivers over flow which turned land into a wonderland for tourist. This was my mom's home and am sure she would be proud knowing so many people are enjoying her home and land as much as she did. So many different areas of interest; golfing, Fishing for trout in the Little Red River or catching big bass and catfish from Greers Ferry Lake, Enjoying a day on the lake sightseeing the beautiful sites and swimming in the clear, clean waters of the lake. Skiing or tubing, what fun!!!!!! Mountain climbing Sugarloaf Mt. or Shop til you Drop!!!! Or maybe just sit in the swing and enjoy the wonders of nature right in the front and back yards. I call it 'A Little Piece of Heaven.'
What makes this House unique
TwinsAcres is close to everything offered in the area. Shopping the unique gift shops in the downtown area and surrounding areas, golfing the beautiful courses, catching our limit of fish from the Little Red River or Greers Ferry Lake, Sandy Beach, Enjoying the Cardboard Boat Races usually held at Sandy Beach area the last weekend of July, watching one of the best 4 of July fireworks display in Arkansas. Walking the Mossy Bluff Trails, Collins Creek, or other nature trails in the area, Tour the Dam, then enjoy the Fish Hatchery, stop in at the Welcome center at the Dam and see how this beautiful town and lake were developed. 'A must do' is see the town from atop Sugarloaf Mountain. You'll have a Kodak Moment up there, Beautiful view of the town and area. You can also walk the trails on Sugarloaf in the Lake, you will need to have boat access for this adventure. Just too many things to enter here for your enjoyment in this Beautiful town of Heber Springs AR.

Wonderful cozy place to stay!!
This home was nicely decorated clean and cozy. It has a well stocked kitchen with all pots pans and utensils and seasonings that you will need if you choose to cook. Upon arrival and settling in my fiance and I keep peeking out the back door to the dock looking for dear to come by we found ourselves throughout out stay looking to see them. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom as well. The area is nice and quiet as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be coming back to Twin Acres again. And oh yeah on Sunday morning which was our last day I was looking out across the back deck and in the distance I saw three deer!!! I ran to tell my fiance who was in the shower but sadly by the time she got out they were gone. So as I was getting in the shower my fiance ran to get me because the deer had came all the way up into the backyard and when we got back to the backdoor there were 10 or more deer eating acorns out back they was the final beautiful touch on a beautiful weekend that we'll never forget we couldn't have picked a better place than TWIN ACRES!!
Memorial Day weekend family get away
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Twin Acres. I loved the way the house was decorated. It gave such a homey feeling that I felt right at home from the time I walked in the door. The kitchen was fully furnished with all I needed to use. I liked that the utility room had lawn chairs to sit in to enjoy the outside. It was quiet and peaceful even though it sits back off of a busy highway. The only disappointment I had was in not seeing deer in the time we were there. I would stay there again.
Thank you for taking the time to give TwinsAcres a nice review. I am also disappointed when I have to leave without seeing the family of Deer that usually comes around. There's a couple of new dogs in the area that give chase to them. Sorry. Hope to see you as a returning guest soon. Diane
Yard was growed up and ticks were horrible. Floors were all un level. Yard furniture was rotten. Front door was hard to open. It was not a good vacation rental.
I always thank my guests for leaving their review and I thank you for yours. What I would have liked to see mentioned was the immediate mowing of the yard that had not been mowed because of all the rain in the area. I also didn't understand you feeling you should destroy my bench and leaving it piled in the yard. I'm also sorry you didn't like the bass and trout that you were catching instead of the crappie and bream that you enjoy. I hope you have a wonderful summer and able to catch your limit of crappie and bream in another area. Regards, Diane
