South Hero Guesthouse with lake access and great sunsets

Recently constructed Guesthouse located about 250 feet from Lake Champlain. Lakeshore patio and dock provide easy access to the broad lake. Guesthouse is located on a quiet rural road which is one of the main scenic bicycle routes through the Champlain Islands.
Burlington is located 25 minutes away, 5 minutes to the ferry to New York State, and less than an hour from Canada.
Guesthouse has 1 bedroom with queen bed and ample storage, tiled bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, open dining/ living room with queen size sofa bed. Pets welcome but may not be left unattended. Maximum occupancy is 4, which includes pets.

Don and Perky are excellent hosts. Everything about this cottage is perfect. They have all the conveniences of a well equipped kitchen, the convenience of a washer and dryer and a quiet road. Plus there's more but it's just a comfortable place and convenient to everything in The Islands.

My wife and I had a great stay in South hero Don and perky were excellent hostsThe guest house was clean and comfortable The kitchen was efficient. Stunning sunsets on the lake deck.It was a great base of operation for our many trips we took in to Burlington and Montreal. bike riding sightseeing fishing just a fantastic week

Everything was perfect. From the listing, to the price, to the communication with Don (who went over and above), to the details thought of, to it being clean and modern, to the location, to the view, to the gardens, it felt like we were in our own little world. Great hosts! Property is beautiful, guest cottage is well laid out and comfortable, with AC in bedroom. Queen bed is firm and comfortable. Was able to use WiFi with no problems. Lake access is right behind host’s house. Having washer/dryer on the premises was a huge plus. Hosts are wonderful, and communication was easy. We’ll be coming back!

Don is a really nice guy and very responsive (Didn’t get to meet Perky). The rental is a great quiet location along West Shore Drive - great for bicycling from your door. They left me coffee and dropped off some tomatoes during the week too!

We can't say enough about this property, and it was a wonderful stay. We loved meeting our hosts Don and Perky. They were warm and friendly and very respectful of our privacy on the shared property. The apartment was super clean, comfortable and attractive. The use of the laundry was a bonus. The yard was a great place to sit and read or play with our dog. Instructions about the rental and recommendations for local restaurants, beaches, etc. provided were great. Check-in/check-out was easy.This was hands down the best stay we had on our short get away vacation celebrating our anniversary. We'd love to visit again and will definitely tell our friends about this beautiful find!! Thank you!!! Sam and Toni

This was our second time staying at Don and Perky’s cottage, and it certainly won’t be our last! We had another absolutely wonderful stay.The cottage is immaculately kept and well-equipped with everything you could need. Outside, the lake is beautiful, we especially enjoyed the stunning sunsets. Perky’s gardens are also very beautiful and add a lot to this charming property.A massive bonus for us, the property is pet-friendly. Finding high-quality, pristine rentals that welcome pets can be incredibly difficult, so we deeply appreciated being able to bring our furry family members along.Don and Perky are friendly and extremely gracious, thoughtful hosts. We cannot recommend this beautiful lakeside getaway highly enough!
