  • Great experience

"This was a great experience. The property is clean, well-maintained and spacious. And Julia was very accommodating to our inquiries."

  • Perfect rural Vermont experience for the Summer!

"Our family spent 8 days/7 nights this July in the restored 1900 schoolhouse in Wolcott, VT. Although we have vacationed in VT numerous times over the past 15 years, we have primarily done so in the Burlington area and were looking for something a bit different. Being immersed in the rural beauty of Wolcott and slowing our pace to match the environment was exactly what we had hoped. The property itself was wonderful. The schoolhouse has a lot of character, (e.g., hardwood throughout, interior design with a local artisan-feel), with more than enough space for our family. The country kitchen, breakfast nook, and master bedroom with skylights were highlights of the interior that we specifically enjoyed. As lovely as the home itself was, the yard and mountain views were even better. Our 7 year old loved the trampoline, running around the well-maintained yard, using the tree swing, and relaxing with a book on the porch or on the Adirondack chairs in the yard. The panoramic views of the mountains are really beyond description. Since the property is situated high on a mountain road, views down in the valley with the mountains as the backdrop were gorgeous, especially in the morning and at sunset. The only potential negative for those considering this rental is its general location. It was perfect for our family as we enjoyed hanging around the local Wolcott, Hardwick, and Morrisville area, as well as taking day trips to Stowe/Waterbury, Montpelier, Burlington, and the NorthEast Kingdom, this won't be a good fit for those looking for an exciting 'nightlife' scene, etc. Finally, the property owner could not have been more helpful and welcoming to our family. She was a perfect balance of being engaged during the reservation/rental process while also allowing us to enjoy her home/property on our own. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our time at the schoolhouse, hopefully we'll be able to make this an annual tradition!"

  • Great condo

"We stayed at this condo over the February President's weekend. The condo is in an excellent location halfway between the mountain and town. The unit itself is clean and comfortable. The owner was responsive, and very easy to deal with. The clubhouse has a fitness center with the newer equipment which I used. I think this unit represents a great value for convenience, location and quality."

  • A wonderful return visit!

"We stayed here two years ago and it truly felt like we had come home when we opened the door. There were four of us for the previous visit, along with two dogs, and now we had the addition of our ten month old grandson. The owners provided all the equipment needed for the baby--a crib, a pack and play, highchair, and even a bath tub! The house is spacious, and with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, we were not in each other's way. This could not be a better location for us, five minutes from the center of Stowe, and yet so quiet and peaceful. We hope to return again to this pretty, comfortable, and charming home."
