STUNNING BRAND-NEW HOUSE 2B/1B IN THE MIDDLE OF NATURE

Welcome to our little piece of paradise! Here you will truly get to enjoy all that Costa Rica has to offer. Our new house was designed to emphasize outdoor living and to suit a tropical climate.

Imagine sitting on your large balcony sipping your favorite beverage & watching Toucan's hummingbirds & parrots flying around in their natural habitat! Discover an Iguana wandering or listen to the Howler Monkeys! Maybe take a quick drive down to the beach (there are 7 close by!!) - And then at night have a fantastic meal at one of the local restaurants, or just stay in relax.

Our 1-acre lot is bordered on two sides by a mountain. Half of our property is natural jungle, so is a haven for wildlife - many bird species, including Toucans, Aricari & Parrots to name a few - and lots of Butterflies - especially the fabulous Blue Morphos, Sightings of Monkeys, Iguana, Coati and other mammals are common.

Our property features numerous flowering plants as well as fruit-bearing trees - Banana, Mandarina, Lemon, Pineapple, and, sometimes, Papaya - so help yourself.

A Paradise awaits you. Be one with the Jungle and Nature in this beautiful property. Close enough to the main road, yet far enough from the hustle and bustle to enjoy this adorable new house with a wrap-around deck.

Oh the beautiful nature sounds

WOW how the sounds of nature in February come alive every morning and evening at la casa azul. I loved relaxing on the front balcony surrounded by the jungle looking out at the ocean in the distance. A small flock of toucans flew into an adjacent tree each evening. Many other birds and butterflies made their appearance. The Pacific beaches of Playa Ventanas and Playa Pinuela are a short drive down the mountain on a well graveled road. Took a boat from nearby Uvita to Corcovado National Park to take a guided hike in the rain forest. This Costa Rican cabin supported a relaxing time and also provided all the basic essentials required to cook meals and sleep peacefully. Thanks Lucretia.

A wonderful cabin in the mountains within the jungle

What can I say!.. Super clean and nice!.. Everything is there for cooking, proper fans, endless hot water, nice covered patio, comfy furniture inside and out. It's all awesome. I would definitely stay there again no question about it! Lu The property manager is on it and there for any questions.

Hidden gem in paradise

Low-key, cute wooden house hidden high up in the mountain and in the lush tropical forest, La Casa Azul will provide you with an amazing "pied-à-terre" in the Uvita-Ojochal and Ballenas NP area. From the terrasse you might loose the perception of time observing birds and animals passing by or simply enjoy the view from the Pacific and rest in the hammock. All conveniences and utilities available. Very quiet from modern noises to enjoy the natural sounds of the forest. Perfect to unwind, rest, relax, take a breath.

Funky little place

All in all it is a great little place if you don’t need all the modern conveniences meaning no hot water in kitchen no ac shower work ok sum what- location is great - the property manager was totally awesome- and very knowledge of area and the way things work in Costa Rica - the wife and I will return 😎

Birders paradise

The cabin needs a few upgrades to be worthy of online listing, it has everything needed to be considered livable but should have a few dollars spent to make it comfy. It is a neat location and no near neighbors, a few vehicles coming to and from work down the mountain I assume and howlers as an alarm clock, we enjoyed it.

We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to rent La Casa Azul. It's a little piece of paradise lost in the jungle. Every morning you drink coffee surrounded by nature where you can watch birds, butterflies and even monkeys. There is also a lot of things to do around and the location is not too far from Corcovado National Park. Quick note, don't forget to rent a 4WD. Thank you Donald and Lucretia !

Casa Azul - Cinco Ventanas, Ojochal, Costa Rica

We recently rented a small house in Ojochal, south of Uvita. We worked through the property manager, Lucrecia. The house was quiet and safe. There are howler monkeys in the area and we saw toucans, scarlet macaw, and many other birds. We loved sitting on the front porch eating, playing games, or just enjoying the beautiful view of the Pacific. There are many wonderful palm trees and flowering bushes on the property. Access from the highway was quite good, on a graded gravel road. 4WD is still recommended though. We were very close to several beaches but the casa is far enough off of the highway to feel private and secure. All our expectations were more than fulfilled. Lucrecia was knowledgable and responsive to any of our questions. THANK YOU, Lucrecia, Mike and Sandy

I am the Property Manager.

Not yet able to retire, I have brought my years of work experience to Costa Rica and am incorporating it into my life by working online. I now property manage and rent several condominiums/villas at San Buenas Golf Resort, where I live, and several other houses in the neighboring communities of Uvita, Ojochal, San Buenadventura, and Chontales.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies/Criminology from the University of Maryland, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University, and a Real Estate License from the State of Maryland. I have worked in large corporations, with high-net-worth individuals as their personal assistant/manager, and have owned my own businesses for over 30 years.

I am a skilled and highly effective administrator who is widely recognized for my organized work ethic and for delivering a comprehensive work product in a timely and professional manner. Before my corporate and business experience, I worked with several volunteer organizations, helped with handicapped youth camps, and managed my own printing/embroidery and restaurant businesses.

I excel in merging my life experiences and professional skills with the opportunity to help other individuals, as well as small and large businesses. When I am not working, I stay busy learning Spanish, playing golf on my golf course where I live, meeting new people, and experiencing the beauty and adventures of the Southern Zone either on foot or by 4x4.

I look forward to showing you a Costa Rican Pura Vida Adventure.

Why they chose this property

The Gerarad's purchased this Cabin in December of 2018. It has been a wonderful rental and an annual month-long vacation spot for them. In 2025, the Cabin was replaced with a brand-new 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom house.

Ojochal is a wonderful blend of local Ticos, French, Canadians, Germans, Italians, and Americans. Known for many wonderful restaurants and great bars with live music, nearby Playa Tortuga and Playa Ventanas, there is so much to do and see in Ojochal!
