Lovely guesthouse and warm hospitality!
My son and I had the most wonderful time during our stay at the Hauser Lake guesthouse. There were many thoughtful touches awaiting us - fresh eggs from the free range chickens who roam the property, a beautiful arrangement of wildflowers decorating the table and a bowl of freshly picked local peaches and tomatoes from the garden. The owners are warm, welcoming and kind. They were quick to introduce themselves and offer tips on local dining and activities, and were generous enough to offer the use of their bicycles to us during our stay.
As for the space itself - we enjoyed the charming guesthouse with its high ceilings and light and airy feel. We made use of the full, well-stocked kitchen, making several meals and enjoying them at the cute, rustic wooden farm table. The house is well-stocked, has many extras and homey touches. It felt like staying at a family member's guesthouse.
The guesthouse is in a great central location - we enjoyed several days of activities in surrounding areas including Kellogg, Coeur d'alene, Spokane, and Athol. But we'd also recommend scheduling in a few hours of doing nothing - we really enjoyed sitting outside and watching over the farmyard garden and being entertained by the free range chickens and rooster. We even saw a doe and her two fawns walking through the rows of blueberries in the early hours of the morning.
Feels like a magical little place. Hope to be back!
Great quiet get-away
This little guest house was beautifully built internally with very high quality workmanship. It was quiet, very comfortable and a place where you could live permanently. A great place to get away, but only 10 minutes from Post Falls or 20 minutes from Spokane. The Embers, across the lake, had the best Pizza I've ever had (try Papa's Special). my hosts were friendly, helpful and available, but gave me my privacy too. The deer and rabbits occasionally in the yard were nice too.
My husband and I stayed a week at the cute cabin. We were greeted warmly upon arriving. The cabin was well stocked with essentials. Julie and Warren provided extra perks throughout the week. Our son and his wife and 4 sons enjoyed visiting us there. The boys spent one overnight.
The setting was peaceful. We took morning walks down to the lake.
If the rental option was available and our schedule matched, we would rent it again in 2019!
Very comfortable and cute cabin. The interior was beautiful with all the natural wood.
Julie’s decorative touches were amazing. The fresh flowers and peaches added a special feeling about the stay. Outdoor fire pit was a great place to relax and enjoy the stars!
Such a cozy cabin and comfortable stay
Highly recommend this cabin for a comfortable get away. It met all of our needs except internet which was a blessing in disguise! Loved picking blueberries! Thank you for being so hospitable Julie!
My family of 4 stayed here for about 10 days. This is an incredible cabin near the lake. It was great to get away from the city and do some fishing. Everything was beautiful. The kids also loved the location. Warren and Julie were incredible hosts. I would love to visit again sometime!
