Very quiet, relaxing location. Host was excellent. Day tripped into Cape Breton. Made good use of the lobster pot! Would stay again if ever back into that area.
A perfect getaway, house is spacious, comfortable and well stocked. The property is beautiful with a huge lawn, lots of hardwood trees which are dazzling in the fall, and the water is right there, lots of water birds. The large deck is a lovely place to relax and read.
Very quiet and relaxing. Comforatable cottage with all the amenities. Great kayaking, fishing , beautiful sandy beach nearby.Wonderful sunrises and starry nights.

Thank you, Anthony for your review. Sorry that the mosquitos were still there during your stay. They were definitely an issue in August and September this year.
A great property with thoughtful hosts where pretty much every need was addressed before we knew we needed it.
A very peaceful location with great views. Comfortable and welcoming. Will happily book again.
We had a wonderful stay. Very peaceful & pictures and description on line were exactly as per property. Very nice to get out on the canoe/kayak as well as to do fishing. Thank you!

Glad to hear that your family had a great time Trisha - and thank you for your review!
Great place to visit, property was well kept and clean as advertised its a country setting much like what we are used to in NH so we felt right at home. No issues noted just memories.
Wonderful cottage near the straight. Well equipped/stocked. Plenty of older board games and a foosball table that my 5 year old loved. Beautiful views and a small dock to sit on. Being close to the ocean it is quite windy all the time and there were some mosquitoes. The water in front of the cottage is relatively shallow and you can canoe kayak or paddle board the fingers without being in the open ocean. Great retreat from the city. Internet was fast, host responded to any questions, super easy and laid back.

Thank you very much Susan for your thoughtful review! Your family is always welcome back.
Outstanding. Everything you could possibly need was provided.
The whole family including the dogs enjoyed their stay. The owner's relatives were extremely helpful with launching and removing our boat from the water. They built a dock before we arrived!
The property is situated on a protected inlet. Neighbors are very friendly. The property is close to a malor town fir shopping and mesls out. Cl9se to the Cabot Trail which is an incredible venture. Couldn't be happier about our stay. Great value and totally enjoyable.

We wanted for nothing. Everything we could possibly have needed was here. Paul's comprehensive cottage guide was very helpful. His folks were great fielding the few questions we had and getting us to the cottage (I lost the directions lol) In hindsight as we have continued our travels to Cape Breton, I would absolutely plan a longer stay at this beautiful site and highly recommend it to anyone planning to travel to the east coast. Thank you so much Paul!

Thank you so much Chris for your kind words! You're welcome back anytime. Have a great trip back home.
This was my second visit to this wonderful place and I enjoyed it a lot. The house is comfortable, spacious and well equipped and the grounds are just beautiful. Right on the water, with two kayaks and a canoe. Lovely fire pit, lots of wood in the shed. The first time I visited I explored the attractions close by and made a day trip to Cape Breton. This year I just hung out at the cottage and it was soooo nice, relaxing on the deck with a good book and enjoying the constant music of the crows, seagulls, kingfishers, cormorants... a constant parade of birds, walking on the beach... Would recommend this place to anyone, no complaints at all.

Marilyn, it was great to have you as a guest again and thank you so much for your very thoughtful review. You are always welcome. :-)
We had a fabulous stay! The cottage was immaculate and had everything one could need. The back deck is beautiful and we enjoyed our morning coffee listening to the water and the birds. We even spotted an eagle one evening. Our 2 boys loved the loft and the foosball table! We explored cape breton and antigonish during our stay with some fishing and swimming in between! The only drawback were the millions of mosquitos around making it difficult to fully enjoy outdoor activities on the property. However, this is completely out of control of the property owners and we very much appreciated the bug spray and anti-itch cream! Overall a great experience. We highly recommend.
