We live in Nashville and built our Lake Malone vacation home in 2013. We have enjoyed occasional weekend trips to the lake. However, we do not get up there as much as we would like, since we have a newborn and I often work weekends. We are starting to rent it out to mature & responsible adults and families to enjoy beginning in May 2018. This is our well-cared for family vacation home. If you’re looking for a house to have a big party, this is not the place. The house has three bedrooms and two baths. There are two bedrooms, one bath, living room and kitchen with stainless steel appliances on the main level, along with a screened in porch and deck. The lower level has a bedroom with a sliding barn door, bathroom, living area with a couch and futon, and another screened in porch and washer dryer. We also have a Smart TV with access to Netflix, a DVD player and lots of games and books. There is a private dock on the lake with a ladder for swimming. Plus, two kayaks and a gas grill for your use. There are also five chairs for use on the screened in porch, deck or dock. Our house is in the most convenient, walkable location at Lake Malone, only a half mile walk to the Shady Cliff restaurant and marina. You will automatically receive a 10% discount for stays of 7 days or more and 20% off for stays of 28 days or more. My wife and I also have an Airbnb in Nashville. We have over 50 five star reviews. Please contact me with any questions. We are here to help you have a most enjoyable and relaxing vacation. Thanks, John & Catherine

About John Tumminello
I'm originally from NY and have lived in Nashville for 13 years. I work at a nonprofit arts organization and run music and youth education programs in a local park. My wife Catherine is originally from North Carolina and passionately roots for the Tar Heels. We love living in Nashville with our infant daughter, dog and cat. We also run an Airbnb in town with dozens of five star reviews. When we have free time, we enjoy relaxing at our home on Lake Malone.
John Tumminello purchased this House in 2013
Why John Tumminello chose Lewisburg
We custom built this home in 2013. We affectionally refer to it as "Camp Harmony Hill." The use of the word "camp" is taken from the Great Camps of the Adirondack Mountains, which were grandiose family compounds of cabins that were built in the latter half of the nineteenth century on lakes in the Adirondacks. The camps were summer homes for the wealthy, where they could relax, host or attend parties, and enjoy the wilderness. The style of the Great Camps was influenced by the British Arts and Crafts Movement and the related American Craftsman style. Although we are far from wealthy, and our house is far from grandiose, we love our comfy cabin on the lake.

Great House on the Lake
John's house on Lake Malone was everything we anticipated and more. There was nothing lacking at all. Beautiful home with all the amenities. Thank you so much for a great stay and next time we are in the area we hope to stay at John's beautiful Lake Home.
House was amazing
Beautiful, clean, comfortable house. So much more than we expected. Communication with owners were smooth and quick. Would definitely recommend this home!
Charming cottage on the lake!
Charming two-story cottage a few steps from the lake. We enjoyed being able to dock our boat at the cottage and fish off the dock. The house is artfully furnished and laid out so that a group can enjoy hanging out together. It was nice that they furnished a gas grill on one of the screened porches. We enjoyed dining on the screened porch and watching the lake water. Early morning on the lake is beautiful with the mist rising from the water. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The homeowner was very accommodating with answering our questions and requests.
Thanks for staying. We’re glad you had a great trip and hope you come back another time.
The family loved it!
Our family staying here commented how it is such a nice, clean and beautiful place. The decorations really added to the comfortable feeling of staying there. Thank you!
Pulling up to the property we were a little skeptical because of the tall grass.. but once inside..
The house inside was beautiful and so relaxing. Very clean and updated. We took our boat and tied it to the dock which was just a few steps from the deck. It was one of our most relaxing vacation in a very long time. Thanks for allowing us to spend a week in your house and unwind from life’s crazy world
Doug, We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry the lawn was a bit overgrown. We have been trying to find a reliable lawn service up there. I went up and took care of it this weekend. We hope you come back and stay with us.
We loved our stay at the lake. It was a great retreat to go after a long day at work, instead of the normal hotel room that we stay in. Thanks again for allowing to stay in your home at the lake.
