About this property
Beautiful 3 BR Home on Malone Lake - Great Views - Private Dock
Enjoy a lakefront getaway on beautiful Lake Malone!
We built our vacation home in 2013 and sold it six years ago since we didn’t have time to enjoy it. However, we missed it so much that we bought it back from the kind second owners and are happy to continue welcoming visitors for a relaxing vacation at our beloved Camp Harmony.
Our home is in the most convenient, walkable location at Lake Malone, only a half mile walk to the Shady Cliff restaurant and marina (which is sadly temporarily closed). Camp Harmony has three bedrooms and two baths. It sleeps eight people. There are two queen bedrooms, one bunk bed, one bath, living room and kitchen with stainless steel appliances on the main level, along with a screened in porch and deck. The lower level has a bedroom with a sliding barn door, bathroom, living area with a couch and futon, and another screened in porch and washer dryer. It a few short steps to your private deck to enjoy the splendors of Lake Malone. We have two kayaks and a gas grill for your use. There are also several chairs for use on the screened in porches or deck.
We invite mature & responsible adults and families to plan a getaway at our well-cared for family vacation home. We try to be respectful of our neighbors, and if you’re looking for a house to throw a party, this is definitely not the best place for you.
There is parking for three regular sized cars in front of our house. Additional free parking is a short walk away at the large Shady Cliff Marina lot located between the restaurant and Event Center.
We are here to help you have a most enjoyable and relaxing vacation, reminiscent of those good ol’ summer camp or family vacation days.
Thanks, Catherine & John

We had the best time at Lake Malone. This property was wonderful- has its own dock, the home was super clean and adorable, and in a quiet location. Beautiful views too! It is pet friendly so we were able to bring our elderly dog too. The hosts were easy to communicate with and really friendly and handled everything we needed.
Absolutely awesome place to stay. Only thing that I will pass on to the next guest is to be prepared to launch your boat (if applicable) at the state dock because the shady cliff boat ramp is closed due to being up for sale. Will definitely book again.
Nice place, a bit pricey, but it can sleep many more than the 3 of us that used it. No room for a boat trailer, but there other places to park. Owners very helpful when had a problem with tv. Great location right on the lake. I would recommend a dehumidifier, place was very sour smelling due to humidity levels. Overall, great stay with great lake views.
We have more than 20 years of experience renting vacation houses in U.S. and other countries. This house was one of the best, especially for my wife and dogs. Very friendly neighborhood. We also were pleasantly impressed with the Walmart store (25 minutes away). Thanks a lot to owners.
Everything was just as you would hope for in choosing a place to stay. Very kind and professional host, immaculate property, care taken with decorations, beds, all the details and anything you might possible want or need. It was so nice having breakfast on the screened porch overlooking the lake!

Thank you so very much for the kinds words about our home. We’re truly happy you enjoyed your trip to the lake and hope you will come back for another stay..
We truly enjoyed our stay on Lake Malone. The home is cozy and has thoughtful decorations throughout. Great views of the lake and immediate water access! Also enjoyed the fenced in yard for our dog! The home has many nice touches of items you need for your stay!
We loved the house, it had everything we needed and was beautiful and clean. Easy to check in and to leave, would definitely stay again. Four teens downstairs left plenty of room for three adults upstairs. Beautiful lake.
Loved our stay! Highly recommend! The home was lovely and had everything we could possibly need. The hosts were helpful, accommodating, and quick to respond to all communication. And the beautiful lake made the setting perfect. We rented a pontoon boat and the marina staff were very helpful. This was the last weekend for live music on Saturdays in summer at the restaurant. We really enjoyed the catfish. Perfect place if you are looking for a pet-friendly, peaceful get-away for the family.
The sweetest little cabin, perfect for our family getaway! So nice to have upstairs and downstairs sitting areas to accomodate the teens and adults. We cooked almost all our meals in the fully stocked kitchen and took advantage of the kayaks and the dock for fishing! Enjoyed by all, 17 years to 70 years!
The screened in decks are a magical place to spend time reading, sipping on coffee in the morning and just soaking in the peacefulness of the lake. The house is setup perfect for a family stay. We will be back.
The view of the lake is just what I was looking for. We loved the screened in porches, the lights at night, and the whole house was wonderfully furnished. The kitchen was supplied well with everything but our basic food. The downstairs made a nice separate space for our adult children to have their own space and still had another bedroom for a couple friends to come and visit. We really appreciated having the kayaks and all the lifejackets available. We totally enjoyed our stay here.
We have stayed at this lake home several times and wouldn't stay anywhere else. The steps to the dock are minimal, which you don't find at Lake Malone. Being within walking distance to the marina is a bonus. Having the bedroom and space downstairs worked out great when our son joined us for a few days. Couldn't ask for a better location and layout. Communication with host was great!
it was absolutely wonderful. Very peaceful. The weather was great. Loved being right on the water. House was so nice. We rented a pontoon from the marina 1 day. Did wine and Canvas one night. Had a couple movie night. Went to Nashville one day. Nashville

About the host
Hosted by Catherine & John Tumino
I'm originally from NY and have lived in Nashville for 20 years. I work at a nonprofit arts organization and run music and youth education programs in a local park. My wife Catherine is originally from North Carolina and passionately roots for the Tar Heels. We love living in Nashville with our infant daughter, dog and cat. We also run an Airbnb in town with hundreds of five star reviews. When we have free time, we enjoy relaxing at the lake in the mountains.
Why they chose this property
We custom built this home in 2013. We affectionally refer to it as "Camp Harmony Hill." The use of the word "camp" is taken from the Great Camps of the Adirondack Mountains, which were grandiose family compounds of cabins that were built in the latter half of the nineteenth century on upstate NY lakes. The camps were summer homes for the wealthy, where they could relax, host or attend parties, and enjoy the wilderness. The style of the Great Camps was influenced by the British Arts and Crafts Movement and the related American Craftsman style. Although we are far from wealthy, and our house is far from grandiose, we love our comfy cabin on the lake. Spending time there is reminiscent of being away at summer camp or childhood family vacations.
