Florida Log Cabin Lakefront

Beautiful lakeside log cabin for rent. It is fully equipped with cookware and linens. You just need to bring your clothes and food. It is only 40 feet from the water's edge of Bethea Lake, located in Suwannee County, Wellborn, Florida. Wildlife such as wild turkeys, various species of ducks and waterfowl, deer, and raccoons are frequent visitors.

Alligators and various species of fish such as bass, bluegill, specs, and catfish are found in the lake. It is a very peaceful and relaxing place to spend a long or short vacation. Great for bass fishermen, artists, and writers. Also a wonderful winter retreat from the snow. Snowbirds welcome.

There are many activities close by. Lake City, which has shopping and restaurants, is only 15 minutes away. Airports (Jacksonville-1 1/2 hours, Gainesville-1 hour, Lake City- 30 min.) Nearby colleges (University of Florida-1 hour, Santa Fe Community College- 45 min, Lake City Community College-30-35 min). Stephen Foster Memorial on the Suwannee River - 20 minutes. Various springs/rivers for diving/snorkeling/swimming/tubing - 30 minutes. St. Augustine is 1 1/2 hours. Gulf coast is 1 hour. Suwannee River Music Park is 20 minutes.

Private drive. Shared boat ramp with owner. You may bring your boat. Boat ramp will accommodate bass boat or pontoon boat. The lake has no public access.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The cabin was warm and cozy when we arrived, and all amenities were in great condition. The location is beautiful and very peaceful — perfect for a relaxing getaway.The hosts were incredibly kind, responsive, and welcoming. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and we really appreciated the flexibility and clear communication. We truly felt at home and would absolutely love to come back. Highly recommend this place!

What a beautful place, from the start of seeing the cabin from the beginning of the long driveway. Everything you need is already here. Wood for the bonfire, kayaks and a canoe and fishing poles for the lake. Michael is such a gracious host. Hot tub was great after many hiking trails we conquered. I would recommend the Publix in Live Oak vs Lake City.Make sure to get up early to watch the eagles hunting!

The cabin was way better than anything we could have imagined. The host, Michael was very communicative before, during, and after our stay and worked with us to reschedule our trip. He made us feel very welcome and comfortable and the amenities were clean and working for the entirety of our stay. The view of the lake from the house was gorgeous! My husband caught a few bass and enjoyed fishing from dusk till dawn while I looked on from the a cozy seat by the firepit. We can’t wait to come back.

This was the perfect stay close to our daughter‘s home 13 minutes away. We visited for Thanksgiving and our parents were with us. It is a bit tight for four people but easily doable! Sitting outside in the morning, drinking our coffee and watching the sunrise was probably our favorite part. The host were very helpful with everything during our stay and stayed communication with us throughout our visit. When we are back in Lake City again and need a place to stay, we will definitely stay stay at the Do Duck Inn.

Do Duck exceeded all expectations. It's secluded, private lake front, so peaceful. Sunrises are breathtaking. Mike, property owner was great. We were in the area for a softball tournament and it was a great escape after long days at the field. Highly recommend.

Great getaway cabin

Michael was easy to communicate with and had the cabin all set up. It's a great spot to get away in the winter or summer. There's multiple things to do to unwind such as the hot tub, fire pit, and kayaks. It was a great weekend for us.

Perfect get away

This property was just perfect for a peaceful getaway in the north Florida country. Host was great helping us get settled and left us to enjoy this awesome location in seclusion. We kayaked, fished, and slept well. It is a great escape for those tired of overdeveloped or big city congestion. A wonderful reminder of what is wonderful about Florida and the natural environment other counties are so quick to eliminate and develop. Just beautiful. Visited nearby springs and were amazed. This is close to I 75 and yet feels so rural and unspoiled. Would definitely stay her again!
