Great place

Close to the beach and the town center. Care takers were all very nice. Check in/out process could be better explained. I would stay there again.

Amazing Stay!

This place was amazing. The reservation process, communication, cleanliness of the unit, reception by the on-site staff and service during our stay, all the outdoor spaces, proximity to the beach, security, etc, etc. Our young family had an excellent time and very much look forward to our return. See you again soon!

An oasis

Great location . It’s so peaceful at Stef Surf , it’s hard to believe you are walking distance to town and the beach . The property is beautifully landscaped and the unit we stayed in -El Delfin was clean , contemporary and tastefully decorated / furnished . The caretaker, Francisco , is a delight .

Beaches and sunshine!

The property was lovely The solitude, the cool splash of the clean pool, the hanging bananas, the security, the comforts of home away from home….and far beyond. Potrero beach was 4 blocks away, the sunsets were magnificent. Francisco and Marlin were the truest, loveliest humans! I was sad when I wasn’t able to have to have our crazy Spanish- English conversations!!! So endearing. We rented a car so we were able to. Is it a few astounding parks. I will never forget our special trip to warm, friendly, beautiful Costa Rica!

Modern ZEN Delfin Condo!!

Our stay at Stef Surf Delfin condo was more awesome than we even expected and the village had many excellent restaurants, we especially loved Hibiscus just up the street. The serene decor throughout the home instantly relaxed us upon our arrival. The modern condo is exquisite with added touches that make it special. The master bedroom offers a true wake up to Costa Rica with the sounds and sights of tropical birds and monkeys howling nearby. So close to the ocean we could hear the waves from our bedroom. The entire complex is a tropical oasis, the pool is surrounded by lush greenery and flowers that Francisco and Marling, the caretakers, take so much pride in, they were a joy to have around and always smiling. We are definitely coming back!

Potrero stay

Overall a good experience. A few minute walk to the beach. Strongly recommend Hemingway's for food and libations which is right along the beach. Some of the information provided by the owners was dated and it would have been helpful to have that further in advance and up to date. Caretaker Francisco is there daily so if there are any issues he can be easily reached and the issue fixed. Beaches are beautiful - recommend Penca which you can drive to in about 10 minutes (note - roads are bumpy in Costa Rica so get a 4X4!) Also note that the two bathrooms are upstairs and it is a spiral staircase which could be challenging if someone has mobility issues.

Absolute paradise

Everything about this property is great! The location is quiet and peaceful but centrally located to several amazing beaches. The lush trees keep the house shaded and we hardly needed the AC. Francisco was so friendly and gave us a tour of the house when we arrived. He helped us find out way around as well. Everything was very clean and there were plenty of towels. We also appreciated that there was a cooler we could use. Pool area is beautiful. We really cannot say enough wonderful things! Eat dinner at Santido Norte one night! Arrive around 5 to watch the sunset. You will thank me. Coco loco in Flamingo is also great. So many wonderful beautiful people and places!! We will be back!

Perfect spot to enjoy Costa Rica and its beautiful beaches and people!

I would go again in a second. The Del Fin condo was the perfect size for our family of 4. Make sure you're okay with a spiral staircase and having all the bathrooms upstairs. Other than that, everything that you'll need is there. And if there's something you don't find in the condo, just ask caretakers Marling and Francisco - they were great. Make sure to check out several of the beaches - Playa Prieta has beautiful calm waters and parking under the trees. If you're looking for more waves, we would recommend Playa Grande. The water at all the beaches is warm and clear. Get a surfing lesson - our daughter loved this. And do the Congo Trail Canopy Zip line. The guys there are great - very fun! Puravida!

Bait and switch do not rent

Stay away! The property shown in the listing photos is not the property you are renting. Owner is knowingly using photos of a nearby home, both inside and outside photos, and pretending it is theirs. The actual unit faces the street, super noisy, no view and not poolfront like the listing photos Unit is furnished with air mattresses and metal folding chairs, not the furnishings in the photos. Property was not ready for checkin despite us arriving hours late Zero communication from the host, would not recommend

Amazing place!

We had a wonderful time here! We felt so safe and well taken care of by Francisco and Marling, they are truly amazing. We loved the condo and the pool. We really loved the relaxing vibe of the area and had a rental car to go and explore all of the surrounding beaches. This is a fantastic spot. We are a family with two kids (age 4 and 7) and they had a great time! We would definitely come back.

Great stay in Playa Potrero

We very much enjoyed our 7 day stay at Stef Surf. The condo was a great place to use as a base for all travel to surrounding beaches, towns and eco adventures. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. Concrete floors and stairs may present a problem for people with mobility issues but we knew that prior to booking. Owners provided valuable information both before arriving and after through our personal concierge Lis. We would not hesitate to book this condo again. Loved Costa Rica as a whole and the Surfside community in Playa Potrero.
