16 Rinn na Mara is a superb holiday home located in Dunfanaghy, Co Donegal in close proximity to the Golf Club, Killyhoey Strand (beach) and the popular holiday village/resort of Dunfanaghy. The cottage has been built in a modern and yet traditional style with oak and tile floors, a large stone fireplace (with a wood burning stove), a modern kitchen and is tastefully furnished and decorated throughout in keeping with the traditional and modern blended style.
It is located close to Dunfanaghy golf clubhouse and it is a 5 minute walk to the beach and also to the village centre and amenities. The area is one of the most beautiful in Ireland and the location enables easy access to Horn Head, some of the finest walks and beaches around and the spectacular indented Donegal coastline. The local landscape changes in response to seasons and daily weather. In the right light at the right time the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
The cottage can accommodate up to 8 people in 4 spacious bedrooms. Each bedroom is furnished with luxury oak beds and good quality duvets and linen. The large open plan ground floor of the cottage combines the ease of modern living with comfort. The centrepiece is a ‘local’ stone fireplace.

Beautiful property in a wonderful location. Easy walking distance to Patsy Dan’s and Rusty Oven. We had some “typical weather” for our trip, but made the most of Donegal’s sights. Fanad Head, Pallet Sea Arch and Glenveagh were highlights. Highly recommended

We stayed as a family of 8 over three generations with our two small dogs and we could not have had a better time! The property was ideally located, it was on the most amazing beach with the whitest sand, the scenery was stunning. All amenities were super close, we could walk for morning coffees, lunch, shops, dinner it’s honestly one of the best places we have stayed for location. The house itself was super and had everything a family could need with loads of space and ideally stocked for a full week away, the two ground floor bedrooms were ideal for younger children and our elderly mother so the house was fully accessible. Trevor the host was incredibly helpful and got back to every query no matter how small very quickly. This was an ideal location for a family trip in one of the most beautiful places in ireland and catered to everyone’s needs from 2 - 68 years of age!

Very comfortable cottage, great photos of the area. Right next to local golf course and beach, and short drive to Rosapenna golf and beautiful bay. Hope to stay again!

Thank you for leaving a review. I truly wish you had told me directly if there were any issues with the house. I live 5 minutes away! ‘The kitchen is poorly equipped’. Really? There are oven trays! This house was a great base for our family trip to Donegal. The large travel cot & high chair came in very handy. It was cosy and comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc. and there was plenty of room for us all to eat and sit together. The location was excellent, just a short walk to Killahoey beach or into Dunfanaghy. We all agreed it was a winner. Only complaint was it seemed like a few small repairs are needed - one of the windows and one of the showers.

Beautiful, spacious property in a perfect location. Comfortably snug, a lovely sunroom for reading, living room for TV viewing, ample sized rooms and a light filled landing with views across the golf course. A quiet setting with a good sized garden and plenty of privacy. Lots of parking space in the driveway.

The house is in an excellent location to amazing beaches and Dunfanaghy. It could have done with a few more kitchen stuff like a baking tray more than one dishwasher tablet and decent knives. The house is very spacious, comfortable and clean. The information from Trevor was very good and he was very responsive when we needed to clarify how to turn on the hot water during our stay. Thanks

Until recently a teacher in International schools, now a photographer living in Dunfanaghy, Donegal but travelling at various times of the year as a 'travel photographer'. The joint owner of 'Alternative Visions' running workshops and photo tours in Donegal and overseas.

The location is perfect for holiday makers wanting a good location in proximity to a golf course, beaches and the inimitable seascapes and landscapes of Donegal, Ireland. Dunfanaghy is one of Donegal's main 'honeypots' with a small but exclusive ambience.

What makes this property unique

Its location together with the way in which is is planned with space in mind and an interesting blend of traditional and modern. The floors and furniture are modern and all made of oak. It has a beautiful fireplace and wood burring stove with a very modern kitchen and dining area. The four bedrooms are comprised of a mix of 4 single and two double beds. The walls are a gallery of local and some global photography.
