Spacious & Very Central 10 Person Chalet - 40m from Pleney Lift

When it comes to location, Chalet Plénay honestly can’t be beaten. Just 100m from the Pleney bubble in the centre of the resort, it’s almost ski-in, ski-out.

As such it’s perfect for families with little ones — no need to herd kids and assorted kit onto a ski bus; groups with novices — the ESF beginner ski area is almost on the doorstep; or anyone who just likes an easy life, because the bars, shops and restaurants are so close that within a minute you can be sitting in some of the town’s best après joints or browsing the latest ski wear.

Four en-suite bedrooms mean nobody’s going to be accused of hogging the bathroom in the morning, while a well-equipped kitchen and lounge, and a suntrap of a terrace mean there’s plenty of space to relax over dinner, drinks, and tales of your adventures on the mountain.

Chalet Plénay’s utterly enviable location in the very heart of the resort is undeniably its major draw. Quite simply, there are very few chalets that can claim to be closer to the slopes, which all equates to later starts, and a lot less stress, whether you’re trying to get beginners to ski school on time, or simply want to catch the first lift.

But that’s not all the chalet has going for it. Recently renovated, the open plan living space is perfectly designed for communal living. The huge sofas are ideal for lounging on after a day on the mountain, whether you want to chat to a soundtrack of tunes on the Bluetooth speaker dock, and gaze into the flames of the real log fire, or just chill out in front of a film (there’s a Blu-ray DVD player and Ultra HD Smart TV with Netflix, so there’ll always be something to watch, and there’s even an Xbox One for gaming fanatics.)

The well-equipped kitchen makes cooking everything — from energy-giving eggs for breakfast to a celebratory evening meal — an absolute breeze. As well as the basics that you might expect — fridge freezer, oven, 4-ring induction hob, microwave — there’s also a Nespresso machine, if you need a caffeine boost to get you going in the mornings, and a dishwasher — so no arguments about who does the washing up.

And no washing up means there’s no reason not to linger around the dining table, which comfortably seats ten, and maybe pour yourself an extra glass of cognac — after all, you can almost roll out of bed and onto the slopes in the morning.

On the subject of beds, there are plenty — a maximum of ten in four en suite rooms (two of which have balconies) which can be configured according to the needs of your group. The rooms are simply furnished, but cosy, with a good amount of storage space. The chalet also has a ski locker, boot dryers and a drying room for any soggy kit, and there’s also a washing machine and tumble dryer so you can pack light and take home clean, dry clothes.

Bedrooms one and three are double rooms and can be made up as two single beds or one double bed. While bedrooms two and four are triple rooms with either three single beds or a double and single bed, depending on the makeup of your group.

While the Pleney lift, giving access to Les Gets, is right across the road, you’re also a six minute walk from the Super Morzine lift for Avoriaz and the rest of the Portes du Soleil area, while the stop for the regular bus to Les Prodains for direct access to Avoriaz, is just moments away.

Amazing Chalet in THE BEST location!

I couldn't imagine a better spot than Chalet Plenay in the whole of Morzine! Right across from the ESF ski school- and right behind the bus stop that takes you up to Avoriaz- Not to mention its central location to town AND the 2 minute walk to the Pleney. SO many options! I have 4 young children whom all ski so the location of Chalet Plenay made my life so much easier. Charlotte and Ric are excellent to deal with and are lovely people. They organised babysitting ( Vanessa was the babysitter and she is excellent and the kids loved her), dinners, lunches, ski passes, extra cleaning etc. Nothing was a problem. The only problem for me now is trying to re-book because it is so popular!
