LOS CHANNAIS

Esta bonita casa de vacaciones en Plouer sur Rance ha sido completamente renovada y recientemente decorada.

A 4 km del pueblo de Plouër sur Rance, La Channais es una encantadora aldea en el corazón de la naturaleza, a pocos pasos de Rance. La casa antigua tiene la ventaja de mantenerse fresca cuando hace calor en verano y se calienta muy bien en invierno con la estufa de leña, además de los radiadores. Es el lugar perfecto para descansar lejos de las multitudes.

En la planta baja, la sala de estar está decorada con objetos encantadores, amueblada con un hermoso sofá, cómodos sillones y una estufa de leña que aseguran noches cálidas con familiares o amigos en verano como invierno. La hermosa cocina se abre a un jardín muy bonito con un patio privado para ti. Está equipado con un gran horno, nevera, congelador y lavavajillas. En una habitación pequeña encontrará el cuarto de servicio equipado con lavadora y secadora y cafetera.
 
Arriba, el dormitorio principal con su baño ofrece una magnífica vista del jardín. Una gran cama de 160 x 200 cm y hermosos muebles antiguos hacen de esta habitación un lugar muy acogedor y confortable.

El rellano conduce a un segundo dormitorio con dos camas individuales de 100 x 200 cm, también amueblado con atractivos muebles antiguos y a un gran cuarto de baño. El tercer dormitorio también se puede usar como oficina o vestidor.

El Rance fluye a través de un magnífico valle que ofrece muchos paseos, para excursionistas, a pie, en bicicleta o en coche. Desde la casa puedes caminar hasta La Moinerie en la orilla del agua en menos de 10 minutos.

La Channais se encuentra en el famoso circuito de Bois Rochel (11 km).

Las playas más bellas del norte de Bretaña, Dinard, St Lunaire, St Enogat, Lancieux también están a menos de media hora de esta casa.

La famosa y encantadora ciudad medieval de Dinan es excepcional en Francia y está a solo 8 km. Es absolutamente necesario visitar Le Mont Saint Michel y es posible dar un paseo por la bahía para los más deportistas. La ciudad privada de Saint Malo está a 25 km por autopista y hay muchas tiendas bonitas. Vale la pena ver el balneario de Dinard y sus magníficas villas del siglo XIX. El camino costero corre a lo largo de Rance, así como en la costa y las vistas son extraordinarias.

We had a fabulous stay at this lovely house. It was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The quiet surroundings were beautiful, from the river walk, the fields of sunflowers, and the attractive back garden of the home. We also enjoyed the nearby restaurant Les Jardins de la Matz. We'd love to return for a longer stay in the future.

Beautiful house!

The house is absolutely gorgeous! The garden is beautiful and large. Everything you need is in the house, and it was very clean. The owner was very kind and helpful. The area is quiet and there are lots of walking trails. We loved it!

Charming peaceful and beautiful place

We fell in love with this property and location. It was peaceful and exactly what we wanted to experience - the house had everything we need and we felt like at home for the 6 days we were there. The host is super nice and communicated very well with us and what we needed. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to visit a beautiful area of France and enjoy the country side. I am still smelling the flowers and how scenic the entire area is.

Superb Cottage in the countryside

Plouer Sur Rance is the perfect place to stay. So tranquil but only a short drive away from all that Brittany has to offer. Fiona De Wulf was the perfect host. She ensured we had everything we needed and was always there to lend a helping hand! The cottage was peaceful and a great place to relax particularly in front of the log fire and in the cosy sitting room. We will definitely revisit very soon. Thank you.

This is Paradise!

We’ve rented homes through VRBO over the years and have always been pleased. This home in Plouer-sur-Rance was outstanding! We felt as if we were in the owner’s own home. The home was decorated so beautifully and the artwork was so special. The appliances were all top of the line. We felt we were in our own home. The owner, Fiona, was so lovely and responsive. After she found out our likes she made amazing suggestions.

Lovely Home in the Countryside

This was a lovely home located in a small hamlet in the country side but not too remote. The location was strategically perfect for visiting all the beautiful villages and sites in Brittany. You were only about 20 to 30 minutes away from the seaside and very close to local villages around the water ways and necessity shopping. Madam Fiona De Wulf was very gracious in making sure my stay was a pleasant one. Extremely responsive to any request or questions. On top of being a great host she was an engaging and knowledgeable individual to interact with. I highly recommend this lovely home.

Perfect in every way

We had a wonderful week at this gite. We hated to leave and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area. Fiona was a great host. She was responsive during the booking phase and helpful during our stay. The house was perfect. The kitchen was well equipped and the appliances were high end, the standalone shower was roomy with great water pressure and the beds were comfortable. The patio and lawn were lovely for relaxing and dining. The location is perfect for getting to the major sites in the area. The house is located in a small hamlet so it’s peaceful but it’s less than 5 minutes from a main road so it’s easy to get everywhere. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

A gem!

My husband and I, along with another couple, spent two wonderful weeks in Fiona and Bruno’s lovely old and so charming cottage, outfitted with modern bathrooms and kitchen, all well-equipped. The highlight however were the expansive and beautiful grounds and gardens that gave way to the neighbour’s paddocks that housed a couple of friendly mares and their fillies. Even though Fiona was away our first week, she responded quickly, within the hour or less, to the few questions that I had. Very friendly and welcoming host! The property is a short drive to Dinan, St-Malo, Mont-St-Michel, Cancale (oyster capital of Bretagne), etc. Lots of restaurants nearby as well. I only wished we had stayed longer and hope to return soon for a more extended visit!

Total serenity

We have just returned from a wonderful week staying in La Channais. The booking process was simple and communication with Fiona was good. The welcome we received was great and having Fiona next door was very helpful for advice on places to visit and restaurants to eat in. The house is more like a home from home and is well equipped and spotlessly clean. There is a great wood burner and Fiona supplies all the wood you will need. It has the feel of a charming French country home with beautiful gardens in a tranquil hamlet. There are lovely walks to enjoy and you are only 2km from the nearest village Plouer-sur-Rance. This is a lovely village with a butcher, bakers, cafes and restaurants. There is a huge supermarket here (Super U) that has everything you will need. A car is essential and will allow you to visit Dinan, St Malo and Dinard or further afield if you wish. We travelled with our 8 year old son and visited an excellent bowling alley in Dinard - a great way to spend a rainy afternoon. There are great local markets every day of the week selling fresh food which we used several times. Thanks Fiona and Bruno - we hope to return soon.

Charming cottage - ideal location for exploring northern Brittany

This is a lovely terraced house in a quiet hamlet a few km from Plouer sur Rance. We are a family of two adults and two children and stayed here in August 2016. The house is very well furnished with a living room, kitchen, utility and wc downstairs and three very pretty bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. There are very high quality fixtures and fittings throughout and all modern conveniences are provided. The owners live next door and were happy to address our every need. There’s a pretty garden at the back that we found perfect for dining al fresco. The locality is great for country walks by the river. Close to the property are stables for showjumping horses- a bonus for our children who fed apples to the horses in the evenings. The location of the house is ideal for exploring northern Brittany with St Malo and Dinard only 20 minutes away and Dinan just down the road. Just remember though that from here you’ll need the car for any trips to shops, restaurants etc. Some of the highlights of our holiday here were visiting the beach at Pleneuf Val André, taking the ferry from Dinard to St Malo, and hiring bikes at Dinan port to cycle along the banks of the Rance. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely be very happy to return.

Wie Zuhause!

Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Man kann sich direkt wohl fühlen! Neben schönen alten Möbeln sind die Badezimmer wiederum sehr modern - perfekt! An eine wunderschöne, gemütliche Terrasse schließt sich ein kleiner eingezäunter Garten an, was perfekt für unsere Hunde war. Vom Haus aus kann man gut schöne größere und kleinere Runden mit den Hunden gehen. Die Vermieterin war sehr, sehr nett und freundlich. An- und Abreise haben völlig unkompliziert geklappt.

Heerlijk verblijf in La Chanais

Een authentiek en sfeervol huis, voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt. We hadden prachtig weer waardoor we tenvolle van de mooie tuin konden genieten. Gastvrouw Fiona is super vriendelijk en je kan letterlijk voor alles bij haar terecht. Ze stelde zelfs voor om op onze hond te passen als we uitstappen wouden doen. Een aanrader!!!

Nous avons choisi le bon endroit pour passer des vacances reposantes, une maison tres agreable entourée de nature et proche des lieux que nous souhaitions visiter. The Genuine Article

If you're looking for a charming maison in the French countryside, la Channais is it. It is a centuries-old structure with all the attendant charm, yet the living space has been meticulously modernized and is very comfortable. The owners are accommodating and undemanding. They obviously want their guests to feel at home. The property is very quiet and surrounded by "horse country." There are many beautiful walking trails, most leading down to the River Rance. La Channais is a very rural experience, yet shopping, local markets and everything required is nearby. (Do NOT miss the bakery in Plouer-sur-Rance.) The small town of Dinan, known as one of the loveliest old towns in all of France, is minutes away. Whether relaxing in the beautiful English garden of la Channais or exploring the Channel coast from a very convenient location, this is a wonderful place to be. Be careful not to bump your head on the range hood.

Comfortable Accommodation would

A city but spacious property in a small hamlet convenient for visiting Mont St Michel, Dinard, St Malo etc. Fiona was extremely helpful and always available if needed. Beds were comfortable there was ample seating in the living room & the kitchen well equipped. There is off street parking & a very pretty garden. We would certainly recommend this property.

A beautiful rural escape

The cottage did not disappoint. We were welcomed by Fiona, who made sure that we had everything we needed and was so considerate in making sure we knew what was available in the local area and didn't miss the best bits. The house was immaculate, and furnished to a very high standard. The lovely garden was a great bonus in the warm weather, and the proximity to the river meant that there were great walks nearby. An excellent way to return to France for a much needed holiday.

This is the perfect seaside countryside combination - we fell in love with the area on holiday here 15 years ago, we decided to move here permanently and have never regretted our decision. We just love sitting in the garden in the evening listening to nature.

The environment is the centre of interest for all the people who live around here and the wildlife is exceptional, strictly protected and maintained by us all. You can walk from the house down to the river and even swim at high tide.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

There have been no chemicals used in the gardens now for fifteen years and the birds and insects have thrived.

The cottage has been furnished with aa unique selection of antique furniture, comfortable seating and bedding, modern fittings for the bathrooms and kitchen. The atmosphere is cosy and comfortable.
