About this property

Traditional Spanish house with private swimming pool

This traditional Spanish house is located on a hill from where there is a beautiful view of the ocean and the village of Cuidad Qeusada. The villa has a living area of ​​110 m² and a large covered terrace overlooking the private garden and pool.

The villa is surrounded by a beautiful 1000 m² private garden with 11 large palm trees, olive trees and oleander bushes which surround the large pool. The private pool is set on a large terrace and a sun deck on which you can relax and oversee the ocean stretching from Guardamar to Torrevieja.

Our holiday guests find themselves in a private setting. The villa also has a complete fully loaded kitchen, two bathrooms, a master bedroom and two bedrooms. Sheets, towels, bath towels are available. A grill to barbeque is also available in the garden.

The property includes a large garage for two cars. Shops, restaurants, a golf club, as well as a water park are near by. The nearest beach is about 9 km (5 miles), which is pristine and suitable for children.

Brilliant stay

This is the second time we have stayed here. It is a great villa in a brilliant location with fantastic views. Comms with the owner are really well managed and the local manager is very helpful.

An older Spanish style villa , some minor things, pool not cleaned but this was sorted quickly and ready to use day after our arrival, some curtain poles with no curtains or curtains too narrow for the poles, not very appealing to look at but to be fair we only slept in the villa , pool and views are amazing, not suitable for those with mobility issues as there are several sets of steps up to the entrance of villa, but the view makes up for that over the sea and salt lakes. Would rent a car as villa about 15 minute uphill walk from quesada centro/village. Plenty to eat and drink in quesada. We had a lovely time overall

Great villa

We had a brilliant time at the this villa. We have stayed here before and would recommend. It is well equipped and in a fantastic location. The pool is lovely. It is an older villa but very well maintained. We had a few minor niggles but the property manager is great and very responsive.

It is like being at home, you have everything you need in the villa, as it was very well equipped, beds comfortable, but downside is it has tv but no English channels only news which kept breaking up. Double garage for car safety which is very handy especially in the summer when it is very hot, it helps to keep the car cool. There is a lot of steps to go up from the road to the villa, you don’t need a car if you just want to stay local as it is only about 20 minutes walk into quesada main town, and local supermarket about 5 minuets walk away which was very handy

Dated property.

Initial impressions were awful. The website did not say that there were 49 steps to climb in 5 separate tiers. As a 76 and 77 yo couple we found this very daunting, especially having to carry out suitcases up those stairs. There was no en suite or AC to the main bedroom. The TV was over 20 years old,showing only Russia today France 24 and BBC 24 in English. There were large cracks in 3 panes of glass in the front room. Next day we discovered that the washing machine did not work. To be fair to Rosa, she organised a new machine for the next day. However we discovered the following evening that the water had not been switched on again. The following day we found that the pump for the pool circulation was not working because the water had also been tuned off to it when the washing machine wae plumbed in. The villa is located in a very busy street and is situated just over a crest in the road, making driving away a little hazardous. The final issue was the bed linen, which was of poor quality., particularly in the 2 spare bedrooms. So all in all not a very pleasant stay compared to last year's VRBO villa we rented quite close to this property.

La maison correspond parfaitement l'annonce. Nous avons pu déposer nos affaires avant l'heure prévue initialement. Comme indiqué dans plusieurs avis, il y a plusieurs marches à monter pour accéder à la maison. Elle ne convient donc pas aux personnes à mobilité réduite. 2 chambres sur trois disposent de la climatisation. L'ensemble des chambres disposent de moustiquaires. La cuisine dispose de tous les équipements nécessaires (il n'y a néanmoins pas de lave vaisselle).Je recommande fortement.

Le logement est facile d'accès et au calme, prévoir de stationner le véhicules a l'extérieur. La maison est en hauteur beaucoup de marches d'escaliers a déconseiller aux personnes handicapés ou malade. L'extérieur notamment la piscine sont parfait, propres et bien aménagée. L'intérieur de la maison est fonctionnelle avec une décoration atypique, tout le nécessaire pour se faire un bon repas. Proche des commodités et de la plage. Brilliant villa in a great location

The villa is very well equipped and comfortable. There is no fan in the master bedroom but a fan is provided which is more than sufficient even on hot days. The pool and surrounding area are great. We had a slight issue with the pool but raised with the manager and it was solved within hours - very responsive service The barbecue area provides another alternative seating area which is lovely in the evening. The location is great. It's only a few minutes walk to a well-stocked shop and a number of bars / restaurants. A slightly longer walk (15 mins) to the town centre with lots of shops, bars and restaurants.

Tranquilo

Durante la estancia estuvimos cómodos en la casa y en la zona. La urbanización es muy tranquila y no hay apenas ruido además por las noches se está muy agusto pues hace aire y refresca. La casa está bien para pasar unos días en familia y con amigos. Aunque las almohadas de las camas eran muy bajas y algún día teníamos molesria en el cuello.

Allt stämmde vid tidligare uppgifter. Det skulle vara bra att infomera i början av vistelsen om hur viktigt det är att vädra på grund av fuktighet. Några stolar är gamla och vingliga , en av dom gick sönder när min son satte sig på den. Jag skulle inte rekomendera den bostaden till personer med nedsatt fysisk förmåga på grund av alla trappor.

This house was terrible bad communications and outdatet and dirty, 52 steps to the house.

When we arrived at The House they where still Cleaning, after they were gone we checked the house and after the closets and the couch we found lots of dust. In the kitchen everything was greasy. And from Day One The Pump of the pool was Broken They told you speak 2 minutes What after one day we become so we stopped I waited One week for the pop When We asked for a Discount Because We were rented The House For The House and the pool dan dessert They could not Do It because it was an accident die Pump was Broken also The Man Who checked The Pump Started to to say to US What did you do with this pump And what did you Touch den reset we did not even know where it was en now u see the wasmachine were in the same room as the pump They did not show us. When The Pump was repaired after 7 Days de man Again forgot to close a part of the pump so the water startet to rise. We have to call the man Again Mr Asseltbaum What this man is not very communicative and did not answer his phone And Only React When You stalk him with whats app. My adwise is not to rent this House if you want to have a Holiday Without stress. Mal wieder haben wir hier einen tollen, erholsamen Urlaub verbracht und das zur Hochsaison! Wir, 6 Personen mit Anspruch auf Individualität, verbringen nun schon seit vielen Jahren 1x im Jahr unseren Urlaub hier im Hochsommer,.Die Vermieterin ist sehr zu vorkommend und macht alles möglich dem Urlauber schöne Ferien zu bereiten sehr guter Kontakt zu den Mietern.Trotz der Umstellung auf einen neuen Hausmeister ist alles Reibungslos über die Bühne gegangen und es gab keine Probleme ,sehr entspannt .Das Haus und die Einrichtung sind sehr sauber und der Pool ist Top. Durch die großzügige Villa hat man genügend Platz für 6 Personen, ohne sich zu nerven. Und dann der kurze Weg zum Kaufmann(Kiosk) ca.100 Meter der alles hat und nicht überteuert ist, ist ein Traum .Die Restaurants im Dorf kann man gut zu Fuß erreichen . Fazit: Wirklich weiterzuempfehlen, wer tollen, relaxten Urlaub verbringen will, ist hier genau richtig! Wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder. Fam.Petersen

A Real Home Abroad

We found Villa Falkenburg via a letting site and stayed the first 2 weeks of June 2014, after making contact with the owners who have been very kind all the way through enough confidence was there to make the booking although there were no reviews posted. It helped that we have been staying close by for many years and have walked past it dozens and dozens of times so it was an easy choice to make. Situated in Quesdada and very close (10 to 15 minutes’ walk) to the centre made it an ideal location for us.. A particular issue was we were taking our 10 month old grandson on his first holiday abroad so comfort and a private pool were high on our checklist. What was not highlighted against the villa letting site was a cot however the owners provided one at our first request at no extra cost which was a burden removed. The Villa itself is not your typical holiday letting and has clearly been someone’s home, it is very well furnished and decorated but above all clean, it has the best equipped kitchen in any holiday let we have stayed in and without doubt is the most comfortable and a joy to return to after a day out. There is no air conditioning but this was not an issue as there are plenty of fans and lots of operable windows with screens so the heat was never an issue and nor would I expect it to be in the height of the summer. There is a double garage with access direct off the road which was a godsend not from a security point of view necessarily but the car was guaranteed to be cool when we jumped in to trot down the shops (a car is not essential here). There area number of steps up to the property which is why the views are so great so not suitable for those with mobility issues. Otherwise this wonderful home is suitable for all, the young and us oldies alike.What really makes this villa is the outside space, the BBQ like the kitchen very well equipped; the pool was beautiful we swam from 8 in the morning until 8 at night with the sun on the water all through the day until around 6. I seem to think the the filtration system is salt based so definitely no chlorine in the eyes.The numerous well established palm trees gave welcome shade through the day when you needed it and a great deal of privacy exists from the neighbours either side which are some distance away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will return soon – this Villa receives our highest recommendation and will be happy to answer genuine requests for information. Excellent value.

We built this property in 1983 and designed the surrounding landscape, including the private pool, palm trees and oleander bushes, ourselves to ensure the villa is positioned in a private setting overseeing the village of Cuidad Quesada and the ocean.

Now that we have grand children, we enjoy coming to our Villa Falkenburg even more so, as it allows us to build more memorable moments that this property affords us.

Why they chose this property

We believe this property is unique in its setting, where it is located (at top of the only hill within the village of Cuidad Quesada), and the privacy it affords to our guests. It is surprising that many of our first-time guests have become life-long annual visitors enjoying the amentities and tranquility of the Villa Falkenburg with the view of the ocean, the private pool and the large surrounding garden.

Besides the benign weather conditions all year, the nearby salines are conducive for lungs and heart, while the low humidity makes it a perfect destination in the summer.
