Guestbook comments from the owner

A message from owners Lisa & Joe,

We just left the house on Wednesday, August 18 and we can personally assure you that the beach was delightful. There was no oil odor. The water was clear and yes, we all swam. In some spots there were tiny, tiny tar balls. But honestly, if you did not know there was an oil spill you would not even have noticed - we were looking for evidence. Beach and water conditions could change at any time. But for now at least, the beach is gorgeous and waiting for you to visit!

Great house for 2 family Spring Break

  • 5 of 5

Great location close to the beach and pool. You are away from the crowds of Gulf Shores. Nice and laid back. 4 adults and 5 kids stayed with a room to spare.

The property was very clean and perfect for our families and their kids.

This beach house was great for our family and our children. It was clean and well managed. We came in during a hurricane and Rose was phenomenal. She kept in contact with us on the drive down informing us on evacuation plans and flooding. Other than some standing water on the road and the walkway to the beach for a couple days it was awesome. The pool needed cleaned after the storm and they got on it and had it cleaned the next day. Anytime we had a question Rose quickly responded and was very willing to help out however she could. Walking distance to pool and beach are so close even with 9 little kiddos. The kids loved the sand toys!

The house is a bit far away from everything but we enjoyed the time we spent together and would definitely come back.

Margarita Villa was perfect!

  • 5 of 5

The perfect house for our week-long beach stay! It had everything we needed...nice layout of bedrooms with comfy beds, multiple bathrooms, large kitchen and eating area with plenty of seating for everyone, nice covered decks, and a short, easy walk to the non-crowded beach! The ice maker and the mini fridge were a plus! Nice community with pool and bay side dock access! Great communication with the owner who answered questions/emails in a timely manner! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! We look forward to our next trip!

Vacation for the whole family.

  • 4 of 5

The house is beautiful and very comfortable. The dryer was malfunctioning but was fixed within two days. The wifi was unreliable. Our family has two computer techs and they could not determine the problem. Also, cell phone service was spotty and that was a little frustrating.

Other than those two items, our stay was wonderful. Beds are comfortable, the kitchen is very nice and we had plenty of dishes and pans to meet our needs. LOVE THE ICEMAKER. A super amenity! Our little girls had a great time in bunk room, they made forts out of the bottom bunks and had their own "room".

So close to the water, we went to the beach every day and also so many other things to do: kids played laser tag, went to the zoo, the aquarium and the fort. Old folks just lazed around and planned and prepared meals.

Definitely coming back!

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed your stay! I apologize for the unreliable wifi and spotty cell phone service. We have tried everything to make both better but it is just not possible at this time. Believe it or not, cell service seems to be better at the beach. But then you have to compete with seagulls and crashing waves! The house has a landline so clear phone calls can be had. The modem was replaced in October so it's currently as good and fast as it gets for now. Unplugging/plugging the modem back in seems to help. Thanks!
