  • Best spot in Gulf Shores area

"We stayed here just as a new place to stay in GS, a bit off the beaten path, and ended up LOVING it! We will make this our "go to" vacation spot when in the area. The amenities are endless!"

  • Great beach, nice place.

"This was our family of five's first visit to Gulf Shores. If you have three kids, you know it's difficult to find accommodations that sleep that many so we were very excited to be able to stay in this unit since it has a double and a bunk in the spare bedroom. We were expecting only the one bathroom but there are two full baths here which was a pleasant surprise! The unit itself is a little dated but fairly clean and had enough supplies for our week-long use. There is a bit of a view from the balcony but we weren't concerned with seeing the Gulf from there. And at the fair price we paid and sleeping space for five, we were thrilled with it. Unfortunately, we traveled during a very cold time with highs as low as the low fifties; however we discovered this unit is pretty close to the heated indoor pool! We spent quite a few blustery days there which is too bad because the beach here is beautiful! The sand is the soft sugar-type and is very clean. It reminded me of some of the best beaches I've seen on Marco Island but for a third of the price! Some other things to note: this condo development is way out on the peninsula and is away from the hubbub of the bigger towns but it will take you 20 minutes or more to get to the restaurants and shopping. This didn't bother us at all since we live in a rural area and are used to it. I discovered that the double bed in the kids' bedroom is more comfortable than the bed in the master after a raucous night of snoring thanks to my husband. There aren't many things to do in the Gulf Shores area if it's cold and rainy. Like I said above, we spent a lot of time in the indoor pool. Restaurants in the area are not very good. We had good meals at Flippers and Brick and Spoon. Otherwise, I'd stick to the chains as everything else is just plain meh. I'd give this condo an A for proximity to a nice beach, value and lots of beds. Id give it a C for comfort and cleanliness."
