About this property

Ocean View Casita with Lap Pool

This half acre property is located just 6 miles from downtown San Jose Del Cabo in the guarded and gated community of Laguna Hills, walking distance to the beach. This is a 1 bedroom / 1.5 bath with indoor and outdoor shower, solar powered casita with ocean and mountain views. There is a brand new 35' x 8' lap pool with swim up bar and outdoor BBQ.

Enjoy home cooked meals on your own private patio, from this solar powered casita. Or, if you don't feel like cooking, take a short walk down to the beach where our local bar and grill, Buzzards, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but on Sunday, only brunch.

There is a new restaurant down on the beach at the Beach Front Flats beach club. The restaurant, Vera-Neo is open to the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, just a few minutes walk down the hill from the casita, is a beautiful white sandy beach. From late Nov to March, you're sure to see and hear the Grey and Humpback whales as they pass by.

And just up the east cape road about 20 min by car (10 of that on pavement) is Zai Sushi Bar, Lateral Tacos, The Shade and a couple other small eateries. Perfect getaway spot

Very comfortable little casita with beautiful outdoor areas. The owner is very helpful but never underfoot. Sit on the terrace and watch the whales. What could be better?

Great view, great pool!

We had a lovely, relaxing vacation in the Casita at Laguna Hills. The outdoor property exceeded our expectations and we made great use of the pool and the spacious lounge area’s. Kim was a great wealth of information for any questions we had about the area! We are currently planning our return!

Surfer's Paradise!

Beautiful views from the property! Close to East Cape and Buzzard's Bar & Grill. Definitely a property for able-bodies as there are many elevation changes and steps. I have stayed in both the casita and studio, and both have their charm. Casita is more cozy, studio is light, bright and airy. Kimberlie is a fantastic hostess and went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable and navigate the area.

Kim's casita is well thought out, towels, ice, drinking water, etc... The bed is comfy bed, house is clean and textiles are updated. The outdoor space is absolutely wonderful for enjoying down time. Kim is super attentive and available to answer all questions about the area. The area is secluded, and transportation is recommended if exploring the area is desired. The nearby beach and two restaurants are delicious and friendly. Kim's place was perfect, quiet and exactly what we were hoping for our few days down time. Thank you Kim!

Girls trip!

What a lovely place, very private, but close to town. The beach was empty and gorgeous. Kim lived on the premises and was always available via text to answer questions. Best for two separate parties to rent both Casitas, then you have the whole place to yourself, your own private pool lots of seating places to kick back, and we watch the whales. two great restaurants within walking distance. We felt very safe in the gated neighborhood. We’ll definitely go back. Thanks Kim and Shorty!

Pleasant but very basic

Kim was very accessible and lives on the property. Gorgeous views and the shared lap pool is new. Kim is very much into "green living" and asks her guests to participate in this mind set .of conserving water and electricity to the point where you really have to change your lifestyle if you are the average person. No TV, sound system, microwave, don't flush TP (with one exception), no hairdryer,etc. We also couldn't find a heater although the temperatures outside were in the low 55s but windy. Still, it was a bit chilly inside. We want to be fair but accurate so please look deeper into the casita.

AMAZING VIEWS

Kim the host/owner was great to work with. We felt the accommodations were a bit rustic despite the view of the bay and the very nice swimming pool. Power grid issues means power conservation, although the community has power now. Kim doesn't like blow dryers, curling irons, or long showers (water supply issues). There is no store close by so make sure you have a car or bring everything you need with you via cab or Uber. We recommend Uber at half the cost. Restaurant across the street has great food but is a cash only restaurant with a very mediocre exchange rate. Would we go back? Yes! Reminds us of old Cabo. Whale watching is spectacular and Kim is a great host.

Relaxing oasis with everything you need

We loved our stay at Kim's property, one of the best experiences we've had at any rental within our travels the last 15 years. Kim was responsive, inviting, and knowledgable of the area during our check-in process and throughout our stay. The casita was exactly as described with all the amenities + a few more that were great to have such as yoga mats, blanket for outside at night, and playing cards. We slept great at night, but I will note that it does get very quiet at the property. Although we didn't have any loud noises or disturbances, if you are a light sleeper I'd bring a sound machine to help with sleep. The pool / common area was fabulous and it's a TON of space especially areas to sit/lay-out. As Kim mentioned it's shared with the studio property, but we found that there was more than enough room to both be out yet far enough away to still have your privacy. Overall, it was an oasis of relaxation that provided everything you need in a vacation. Ocean views, beach walks, walkable restaurants, accommodating amenities, and plenty of other enjoyable moments. We will be back!

Amazing View and Relaxing, Quiet area

We absolutely loved Kim's Casita. Having our coffee every morning watching the whales was wonderful ans so peaceful. Our friends rented the Studio during the same time which was great because we shared the outdoor kitchen area and pool area (which were amazing !!) LOTS of areas for sun worshipping and relaxing. The casita is perfectly laid out with a toilet/sink bathroom off the bedroom which is at the back of the casita (and so quiet). There is another bathroom with a nice big shower, toilet, sink, counter area located down to the side of the casita..but still closed in and attached to the building. (Lots of towels). Kitchen has everything you need but if you have specific spices you like, you may want to pick those up or bring with you. Great covered outdoor sitting area where we had dinner almost nightly is perfect. Daily hikes around the area gave us good workouts with all the hills. Buzzards is literally a 2 min walk down the hill.. excellent food and great staff !!! We also checked out Vero-Neo for dinner and drinks. We decided to use Uber the whole time we were there and it worked great for us as we did spend alot of time at our property ( it was amazing, why wouldn't we :) ). But if you want to venture out alot, you may want a car ( about 15 min into town centre) Kim was an amazing host. Gave us all the info we needed to get to the resort, answered any questions we had and is very informative. Shorty , her dog is such a sweetie. And lastly, Jose at the gate is awonderful ! Always ready with a wave and smile !! Thank you Kim. You are a great host !

We loved our casita, lap pool and outdoor kitchen. We were lucky enough to watch a baby turtle release a, and see dozens of Grey whales blow as they passed us. Awesome holiday!!

Sunny heaven

Pictures don’t do it justice. Peaceful and quiet. Great location only 10 min drive to town and groceries and a easy 2 min stroll to Buzzard’s Bar and Grill or beach. Spent a week recharging and enjoying the poolside. Kim is a fantastic host. We will be back!

Great get away and perfect spot for relaxation

This is a great property and perfect location for those that really want to enjoy the "real baja". The property is set up perfect and Kim is an excellent host. We did trips both up the East Cape and down toward Cabo with most of our time snorkeling at Chileno Bay which is an easy 25 minute drive south. The beach access right there at the property is also beautiful. We will definitely be coming back to visit. Five star all the way!

I purchased this lot while down here in the mid 80's and started the process of slowly building a little at a time. I built the Casita first, which was my home in 94 until I built the main house in 2004. Since then I've added on the Studio, a huge carport below for my guests to park out of the sun, and most recently, just finished my 35' lap pool with swim up bar, and outdoor kitchen. Been many years of a work in progress, but I feel I'm finally finished and ready to share it with my guests.
