We offer a rambling spacious two hundred year old furnished family home in a rural seeting in the most scenic Kingdom of Kerry. Overlooking Caragh Lake with the highest mountain in Ireland in its background.

We offer accommodation for six to twelve people in six bedrooms with spacious living and dining areas .


Description.

The house is set on four private acres views to Caragh Lake and of tropical vegetation in an area known for its tropical micro climate due to its proximity to the gulf stream. The atlantic ocean at Glenbeigh is a ten minute drive away. There in the summer months , many locals and tourists come to swim and fish.

We , locally have a variety of excellent restaurants . There are three supermarkets within a ten minute drive, Supervalue, Aldi and Mace. Other local shops include the excellent Jack’s bakery and delicatessen, where you will find original ‘Irish Soda Bread’ and scones, Quinlan’s fish shop where fish caught by their own trawlers the night before are available and Burke’s butchers, who sell their own farmed beef, lamb and poultry.

Wi-fi , television and radios are provided.

A few minutes stroll from the garden brings you to Caragh Lake where one can swim on its shores.
Walk the Kerry Way route along by the River Caragh and up into the valley.

I grew up in the same county and as a child was a frequent visitor to Caragh Lake. There as children we fished and swam in the lake just in from of the house we now own. It’s nice to be back , slightly older and in a position to enjoy the home , gardens and the wonderful natural assets outside our door on the Ring of Kerry and Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.
