About this property

Welcome to The Sweet Life! This charming cabin offers 2 bedrooms each with their own bathroom in a homey, rustic and bohemian setting. Located just across from the new Choctaw Landing Casino and Resort, yet still offers plenty of privacy with all the cabin amenities you would expect at a lower cost than a resort property.
Upon entering the cabin you will see that the living and kitchen area is all open, perfect for entertaining and gathering. There is a romantic stone wood burning fireplace to snuggle up in front of on those cold winter evenings, as well as a flat screen television to watch your favorite show or movie. The kitchen is a galley style kitchen with electric range and stove and everything you need to prepare meals for your stay. Off the main living area to the right is the first of the 2 bedrooms, roomy with a Full size bed and a private bath and wash room. Off to the left is the 2nd bedroom with a queen bed and a private bath. Stepping out the back onto the back deck is a gas grill, a porch swing, and a table with 4 chairs, where you can sit and enjoy the view of the creek and the fantastic sunsets. There is a fire pit in the front of the cabin to enjoy a nice fire in the evening after a long day playing on the lake, hiking, or any of the other activities the area has to offer. The Sweet Life, your perfect Hochatown Hideout.

Nice little cabin

We enjoyed our stay, however I really would say some updating is in order. Our heater did not work in the room with the Queen bed. All the windows and blinds could stand a good cleaning and an extra bar stool would be nice. Also, definitely needs a new storm door!

Super Cute Cabin

Cabin was really cute. Location was perfect. Right next to the casino. We got i. At night and like Tom Bodette, they left the light on for us. House is decorated with cute cabin feel. Beds were comfy. Hot tub was nice.

The Sweet Life

The cabin was perfect , mostly. Overall it was a great stay. However there were left over undergarments from a previous guest out in plain sight. Gross. The showers were super small. So if you’re larger than an Umpa Lumpa good luck.

Rustic

Older cabin, little bit rundown, bathrooms and especially the showers are very small. Linens were old and tattered. Extra blankets and pillows were just laying on the not so clean floors in the closets. Good location close to Hochatown but close to main road so there was quite a bit of road noise. Feel like the pictures oversell it.

RUN AWAY

No where near what’s advertised. Nothing at all cleaned, managers couldn’t careless to correct the problems ( multiple ) and absolutely no interest in making it right. Don’t ruin your trip like I did by giving your $ to these people.

Sweet life getaway

We enjoyed our weekend stay and are looking forward to coming again! The cabin was so cozy, had plenty of things we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and the view of the creek was nice. The road getting into the cabin was rough but other than that the stay was perfect!

Relaxing Get-Away

If you are looking for a relaxing get away, “Sweet Life” is the perfect location. Nestled in the woods overlooking Yashau Creek with beautiful fall foliage backdrop. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend this cabin.

Ok but not great.

Still has hole in floor ( seen several reviews mentioning this) in one of the bathrooms and showers are tiny. Needs some attention. The hosts were great in responding quickly!?

Enjoyable & Relaxing!

We are two couples in our 50's/60's. Cute, quaint, little cabin. We would definitely stay again, but here are some takeaways: Loved the deck. The steps were a little steep for us older folks. Could add a middle step between levels. Hot tub was very relaxing. Some of the jet covers were missing but still functioned fine and felt great in the cool evenings. The view of the creek is pretty much non existent from the deck because of the beautiful trees. There is a clearing to walk down and a rope to hold onto to help guide, but it is very steep and we tried it only 1 time! Had to find a different way up. So don't expect easy access to the creek. The main reason we don't give it 5 stars is because one of the bathrooms has a significant hole in the floor. They just have the cracked tiles laying over it and tried to cover it with a rug. We expected that it would've been fixed by now since it has been mentioned in reviews since February, but it has not.

Nice quiet little cabin

I like the cabin overall. There was a damaged rotten floor in one bathroom. You should make sure the shower curtain covers the entry or water will be everywhere. This cabin is not for a big buddy family abs more driven towards a small three person family but it is a great little place to rest and relax. Make sure you clean up behind yourself though.

Nice and quiet

Cabin is in good location It was clean and neat. Bathrooms are small only a small stand up shower no tub. Floor in one bathroom had a weak spot that would give when stepped on.Has a wood burning fireplace which was nice and a hot tub on back deck. Had a fire pit in front yard too with lights in the trees. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Cute Cabin!

Love the location! Very private and the cabin was super cute! The only thing we didn’t like was the condition of some areas of the cabin. For example, in one of the bathrooms, the floor tile was broken in several spots and the floor itself was unstable. Some of the planks on the walls and ceiling were coming off and didn’t look secure. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay!

Cute and cozy home, hot tub takes some time to warm up but once warm it is very hot! We stay at broken bow property often this one has a great location and the back deck is very secluded.

Overpriced for a dirty, worn down cabin.

Pictures online are deceiving. We instantly regretted booking this cabin. The disappointment between my wife and I was palpable when we arrived. First off, the cabin was dirty. Dog hair all over the couch which looked like they found at a frat house. They covered it with a quilt in an attempt to hide it’s condition. Dog hair from a brushing session was right next to the cabin outside. Piled up dust, dirt, water bottles and underwear under the furniture. Wood boards popping out on the ceiling and window screens which were ripped up. Weeds were overgrown on the entrance path so it was quite pleasant to feel them brushing against my legs going in and out of the cabin. Patio is very nice. I will give credit where it’s due. I called the owner but I couldn’t get him to reduce the rate or return the cleaning fee. This is a cheap cabin that is charging a premium price. Stay far away. I have pictures to prove it all too.

Great location

The cabin is situated right between hochatown and broken bow. Great location! We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit most of all. I would have given 5 stars but the kitchen wasn’t as well equipped as I had hoped (limited glasses etc). The beds are comfortable and the cabin is clean overall. If you need larger towels for the hot tub, bring your own. This is a true cabin in the woods. It lacks a few creature comforts but the wildlife and outdoors are great if that is the purpose of your trip.

Short an sweet

This property was great, hot tub didn't get as hot but we still enjoyed our time! The fridge is the most annoying especially at night or watching tv( very loud). But overall this is a good property for a couples looking to get away. we always travel with our own everything from bed linens to towels but they had everything there and available for use. we just couldn't find switch for fireplace.

No dishwasher. No space in bathrooms to put items. We kept tripping over throw rugs in the kitchen.

not a bad place to stay but sure wish it had a dishwasher and didn't have all the throw rugs. We kept tripping on the rugs. Too many decks. Looks a little dangerous. The locations was good and fire pit was nice. View of the trees was nice also. Won't be back because of the decks and lack of a dishwasher. We did have a very nice time.
