Excepcional apartamento con gran terraza en zona de conservación muy solicitada.

El apartamento se encuentra en el primer piso de una casa unifamiliar del siglo XVIII en una tranquila calle peatonal en el centro histórico de Uzès, lejos de las multitudes pero a solo un minuto a pie de la concurrida Place aux Herbes, lo mejor de ambos mundos. Las vigas y paredes de madera blanca, los suelos de terracota de baldosas de madera encalada proporcionan un telón de fondo simple para textiles coloridos. Una amplia y luminosa cocina bien equipada y un área de comedor con vista a la calle, se abren a la cómoda sala de estar con una enorme chimenea de piedra de época. Esta habitación ofrece un refugio de bienvenida del sol en verano.

Un área acristalada acristalada pequeña y soleada con mesa y sillas que se abren a un área de balcón es perfecta para los días más fríos y lleva dos o tres escalones a una gran terraza soleada (muy solicitada en el centro de Uzès) rodeada de árboles, tejados y con vislumbres del campo más allá.

El dormitorio principal tiene una cama doble, mientras que un segundo dormitorio más pequeño, al otro lado del pequeño salón, tiene dos camas individuales. Hay un cuarto de baño con WC y un segundo WC con lavabo.

El apartamento ofrece muchos lugares atractivos para sentarse y leer, comer, relajarse en diferentes épocas del año. Escuche el ruiseñor a principios de mayo por la mañana, observe cómo las martas de la casa se precipitan a última hora de la tarde desde la terraza en verano. Si tiene suerte, puede ver una abubilla.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 11 days in the apartment. The apartment is spacious, full of light, with a comfortable bed, a kitchen made for cooking and to top it off in a great location.

Excellent location with parking facilités at 100m. The apartment contains all equipment necessary for cooking, washing etc and made our stay very relax. Everything was at walking distance.

Our time in Uzes

There were four seniors in our stay in Nightingale, the name of our apartment, the apartment was well appointed and the rear deck patio was a great place to end the day. We had one flight of stairs from the street to our apartment so no problem with the stairs. The location was great, easy walk to everywhere inside the ring road. We highly recommend the apartment as a great rental when in Uzes.

Excellent rental stay in UZES

This property is large, characterful, charming, well furnished and equipped. It has a beautiful outside area/balcony to relax in. The host, Cath, was a delight to communicate with. She was helpful, kind, considerate and went the extra mile to ensure we had a good stay. The apartment itself is ideally located in a beautiful pedestrian street only a few minutes walk from the main shopping square and free plentiful parking. As a day trip we recommend a kayaking trip from Collias to the Pont du Gard. It was fun from start to finish.

We loved every minute in Cath's "artful apartment"!

This charming home is even better than the colorful photos! The art just kept surprising us while we enjoyed cooking, relaxing, entertaining on the patio and making plans for all our local adventures. We have stayed in the area many times in the past and this year decided to stay IN Uzes to walk the twisting streets (get lost, even), enjoy both markets on Saturday and Wednesday, try different boulangeries and restaurants and then enjoy walking down the stone tiles of rue Grand Bourgade to "home" at # 34. We will never forget these accommodations--the artistic touch everywhere, the well supplied kitchen, imaginative decor and a great place to relax. We wish we could come every year. 3 friends from Iowa and California.

We enjoyed 3 wonderful months in Uzes and Catherine's apartment was perfect. An extended stay tests a spot and this apartment was perfect. Excellent location - moments away from Place aux Herbes, grocery shopping, restaurants and bars. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and clean. It worked very well when family members came to stay (using the second bedroom). The terrace is a delight and the sunroom perfect for those slightly cooler days. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need for eating in. A comfortable bed, excellent hot water and a comfortable lounge area meant our extended stay was perfect. Communication with the local host (when needed) was easy and efficient. We highly recommend Catherine's place and plan on a return.

Beautiful and quiet apartment in the centre of Uzes

The apartment is perfectly located in a quiet street just a few minutes from the centre of Uzes. It is beautifully decorated with a great terrace with shade. The kitchen, living room and main bedroom are very spacious and beautifully appointed. The second bedroom is accessed via the 'winter room' so feels a bit disconnected from the main rooms. We stayed in July and the heat was an issue as the apartment is very hot despite the many ventilators. The main bedroom was cooler in the evening but the rest of the flat stayed very warm in the evenings. All the arrangements were very smooth and all went very well. We had a great week in Uzes.

So glad you had a good week, despite the very hot weather. There is a small sunroom between the two bedrooms, which does provide a little more privacy for those who prefer this. Normally heat isn’t too much of a problem because the house is old, but this July was exceptionally hot. Best wishes.

A little gem!

This property was enchanting, spacious , and so peacefully quiet ! Slept gloriously . Wonderful conservatory and deck ... we sat watching the sun go down with wine ... heavenly . Fantastic location only 2 minutes walk away from the Place aux Herbes. Lovely neighbour who owns Perfectly Imperfect, a wonderful shop , she was so helpful to us with a few travel challenges we experienced during the strike . Visit her and be delighted in the treasures of her store ! She also speaks fluent English as well as French . The owner and guardian were exceptionally kind, welcoming and generous . They opened the flat to us early when we had to leave Paris ahead of time due to strike action and a de us feel so welcome . Even though the strike was challenging , can’t say enough about the kindness of people to help . Uzes is charming and you won’t be disappointed in this flat or with Cath and Anette ! Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr zentral zum Place des Herbes. Der Parkplatz ist gut erreichbar. Zum Entladen des Gepäcks durften wir in die Straße fahren. Der Empfang durch Anette war sehr herzlich und völlig unkompliziert. Wir waren 11 Tage in Uzès, sind in der Umgebung viel wandern gewesen, sind 2 Mal nach L'Espiguette zum Baden gefahren und uns ansonsten des Südens mit gutem Wein und gutem Essen erfreut.

Schönes Ambiente im Ortszentrum

Die Wohnung entsprach den Bildern im Internet. Uns gefiel besonders die Einrichtung mit schönen Farben und Stoffen. Die Lage ist ausgesprochen günstig : im Zentrum und trotzdem ruhig. Die Terrasse ist sehr schön mit Blick auf eine Hinterhofidylle Leider konnten wir sie nicht häufig nutzen wegen des eiskalten Mistrals. Die Wohnung ist hell, nur das Wohnzimmer hat keine eigenen Fenster und ist deshalb etwas dunkler. Gut fanden wir, dass es separat vom Bad eine eigene Toilette gab. Für einen Aufenthalt im schönen Uzes können dir die Wohnung nur empfehlen. Der Check-In und -out verlief reibungslos mit der sehr hilfsbereiten Schwägerin der Besitzerin.

Alles war bestens vorbereitet durch den frühzeitigen und netten Austausch mit Anette. Die Wohnung ist sehr großzügig und inspiriert eingerichtet. Es mangelt an nichts - auch in Bezug auf die Küchenaustattung! Das Juwel in der sommerlichen Jahreszeit ist natürlich die Terrasse, dort das Vogelzwitschern, die vorbeischleichende Nachbarskatze, die Pflanzen und gute Lensmittel aus der Region, frisch am Markt erworben… Wir würden uns freuen, wenn wir irgendwann wieder einmal das Glück hätten, ein freies Buchungsfenster zu ergattern…

Traumhafter Aufenthalt!

Die Wohnung war wunderschön eingerichtet. Die Dachterrasse ein Traum mit vielen verschiedenen Sitzmöbeln, im Schatten und in der Sonne. Es war ausreichend Geschirr vorhanden, sodass nicht sofort gespült werden musste. Wir waren alle begeistert und kommen bestimmt wieder. Vielen lieben Dank

Super maison / appartement Arty bohème chic !

Magnifique appartement / maison ( grande terrasse végétalisée et meublée ) au 1 er étage d’un immeuble ancien d’une rue piétonne dans l’hyper centre d’Uzes. Tout très prêt à pieds. Meilleurs croissants jamais mangés au bout de la rue. L’appartement : Ambiance Arty , bohème, voyage, simple à vivre et de très bon goût mais pas surchargée. Très grandes pièces à vivre et deuxième petite chambre charmante comme une petite maison pour les enfants ou célibataires. Accueil chaleureux d’Annette qui gère les entrées et sorties. Stationnement gratuit facile un peu plus bas de la rue piétonne. Merci !

Ein wunderschönes Appartement in perfekter Lage

Wir waren 10 Tage im Juli in dem wunderschönen Appartement in Uzès. Es ist mit Liebe eingerichtet, es fehlt an gar nichts - Highlight ist die Terrasse! Wir wurden von Anette sehr herzlich empfangen, und auch verabschiedet! Die Lage ist ein super Ausgangspunkt, um die Provence mit dem Auto zu erkunden! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder!

All That I dreamed it would be!

I recently completed a two month stay at Catherine’s beautiful Uzes home. I booked my trip in December of 2019 and after two years of COVID delays I finally arrived in Uzes mid-September 2022. It was everything and more than I had imagined. I immediately felt at home and a part of this great community. The kitchen/ dining area became the center of my days. The large windows opened up to the pedestrian street and the sweet sounds of people greeting others in the street was comforting. All of the rooms were very spacious and very well furnished. I spend a few weeks there alone and always felt safe. I had multiple family visitors throughout the stay and we always had plenty of room. I liked early mornings in the sunroom and evenings on the beautiful terrace. It seemed that every day I found a little something extra that would make me smile - a little piece of art tucked behind a door or the smell of flowers on the terrace. It was a 5 minute walk to the Saturday and Wednesday markets, and the bakery was at the top of the street as well as cafes, restaurants, shops and an ATM. I hope for an annual trip back to this home away from home. Don’t hesitate to contact Catherine if you are looking for the perfect get away in Uzes.

Spacious In-town Apt with Greenery

Artfully decorated appartment within a two minute walk of restraurants, bakeries, shops, banks, supermarket and post office, even. Parking is on the street 5-10 minute walk away depending on where you find a spot. Twice in one week I got the absolutely closest spot to the apartment. The other times were a walk to where most people park on the ring road. The apartment has everything but a TV and coffee maker. We just used our iPad and the wifi to watch movies and the local news. For coffee, we walked two minutes to the Tabak store connected to a bar next door and got really good takeout café creme every morning before stopping at the bakery for fresh Viannese croissants, you know, the buttery flaky kind.

I'm glad you had a good stay and thank you for your comments. Re. coffee, the apartment has a cafetière, an Italian expresso maker (the traditional kind) and a coffee filter - but not a dedicated coffee machine, mainly to avoid single use capsules! Nice also, as you say, to go up the street too! Best wishes and come back again.

Absolutely Wonderful Apartment in all Respects

The pictures just can't communicate how wonderful this place really is! Catherine, the owner has the artistic touch and the apartment is full of really nice surprises. It is much larger than the photos depict as well, with lots of room to spread out and enjoy. It is close to everything and being on a pedestrian street, it is blissfully quiet. Anette the property manager is a treat as well - always ready to help, answer questions and is really easy to communicate with. I can't recommend this spot enough!

absolutely wonderful - definitely recommended

We stayed in Catherine’s apartment in Uzès for a week in October. The apartment is very comfortable and very well equipped. It is nicely decorated with a very good taste and lovely details. The location of the apartment is absolutely perfect. It is in a quiet street, but only 100 metres away from the central square called “Place des Herbes” with a lot of cafes and shops. The city centre offers numerous historical landmarks, has a lot of interesting shops, and a wonderful market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. All cafes’ and restaurants’ terraces create a lively atmosphere. Catherine organized our check-in & check-out by Anette who was very friendly and eager to help with anything we might have needed. This is also the case for Catherine who gave us many information about Uzès and how to get there in advance. Both are exceptionally kind and very generous. During our week in October, it was still warm, which was why we were able to relax on the wonderful terrace belonging to the apartment. We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment and we hope to come back soon. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

I got to know this area as a student, returning many years later to spend a month near Uzès in autumn 2013. That's when I saw and fell in love with the apartment. What I really enjoy about the town, in addition to its beauty, is its proximity to major centres of culture such as Avignon, Nimes and Montpellier. There are so many festivals and events from music to art and performance - not just in mid-summer but throughout the year. And I get around most of the time without a car as transport links are good.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

I haven't yet grown tired of walking up my narrow street in the evening to have a glass of wine or a coffee in one of my favourite bar, followed by a stroll past the Cathedral and the Duchy towers, which are all beautifully lit at night. The front of the apartment looks out on to cobbles and an ancient narrow side street with stone arches, the Rue Centrale. And yet on the sun-trap terrace at the back, you'd think you were in a different world.

I very much appreciate sharing my lovely apartment with other people who I hope will enjoy it as much as I do.
