Villa Valia: Traditional Luxurious Residence

Located in Sithonia, Thessaloniki International Airport (SKG), Villa Valia is one of the best places to stay in Greece. Protected by the lush vegetation, it is an excellent choice for total freedom and privacy.

The space:

A house based on the traditional Macedonian design that consists of unique decoration where each element has its own story. Covering an area of ​​1000 sqm, the 140 sqm is a two-storey apartment.

The first-storey includes a well-equipped kitchen with a living room and a bathroom followed by a great living space of 60 sqm where the guests can enjoy the local scenery. The upper floor includes two different bedrooms and a second bathroom.

Outside the place, a wooden pavilion is built offering guests a place to relax. We have a private swimming pool with salt water pump, we are also present while the guests can also follow a path leading to the seaside and a private coast.

Moreover, the property is equipped with a private parking area of ​​a decent magnitude.

This property was a taste of paradise. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable family stay, but the pool and outdoor area was what made this property so spectacular. We enjoyed spending days at the property, dining out in nearby Pyrgadikia and exploring the beaches of Sithonia. Agis was a perfect host and we would love to return in the future.

Fabulous location, superb views from the terrace. Within easy reach of some great restaurants

Although the property accommodates six, there were just my partner and l. The owner Agis was most helpful advising us where best to eat and what to see in the area as neither of us had been to this part of Greece before. The property is beautifully situated with its own seawater pool and terrace overlooking the bay. The closest village is Pyrgadikia, only a few kilometres away which Agis told us had two of the best restaurants in the area; Kouros and the fish restaurant Kapitanos. He was not wrong, in fact we alternated each day between them. On a more practical note, I don’t think the house is appropriate for young children, as in particular the pool is rather deep, being 2 meters at the shallow end. Also with the terracing some of the steps were quite steep. That said, Agis was a great help sorting out one or two minor problems without any hassle. There are a number of long sandy beaches in the area, being June and early in the season they were virtually deserted. The one we liked the most had a beach bar called Coco Ammos, we had many a pleasurable hour soaking up the sun whilst listening to some great “Chillout” music.

Beautiful relaxing stay overlooking the sea

The villa is in a quiet and secluded location, right by the sea, meaning you can go to sleep listening to the sound of the waves and have your breakfast watching the sun rise over Mount Athos. The nearest town, Pyrgadikia, is a couple of miles away, so a car would be advisable. Agapitos, the owner, met us in person and was extremely friendly and helpful showing us round the house and recommending the best restaurants in the area. As we were staying for two weeks, he even organised for the pool to be cleaned while we were there. There are a couple of beaches a few minutes walk away and plenty more if you jump in the car. Although with a pool overlooking the sea (as well as steps down to the bay), you might well prefer to stay and relax! Overall, I would not hesitate to return in the future. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
