Daniil's Seafront Apartment

Our family summer house is located between Metamorfosi and Nikiti villages (2kms after Metamorfosi and 5kms before Nikiti), right in front of the sea, surrounded by dense pine forest. The distance from Thessaloniki is 95kms and from Thessaloniki “Macedonia" airport is 80kms. It is an apartment in the first floor of a three storey building of 12 summer apartments, which has been built in 5 acres, fenced plot, completely secure for children playing outside in the extended garden. Also there is ample space for free car parking. Our apartment can accommodate up to 8 people, or even 9 people (including kids) with the use of an extra bed.
The living room consists of two traditional wooden sofas (each one of 3 seaters, with an extra sliding bed), a wooden coffee-table, a dining table (opens wider and can hold up to 8 persons), a tv set, a bookcase (with tourist material about the area as well) and an air-condition.
In the separate comfortable kitchen room, you will find a fully functional and equipped kitchen, ready to serve all your kitchen needs. There is a large fridge, with a deep free, electric cooker, microwave and a large variery of kitchen appliances such as pots, utensils, pans, plates, bowls, table-clothes, as well as spices, salt, sugar, coffee etc.
In the fully equipped bathroom, there is a shower cabin and a washing machine.
In the master bedroom there is a wooden double bed, table, comfortable closet and drawers, as well as an air-condition. From here there is direct access to the main “sea" balcony of the apartment.
In the other room there are two traditional wooden sofas, identical to the ones in the living room, each one of 3 seaters, with an extra sliding bed, comfortable closet and drawers, a wooden bookcase and an air-condition. From here there is direct access to the smaller “forest" balcony of the apartment.
In the larger “sea" balcony there is a panoramic view toward the sea, the garden and the surrounding forest. The balcony is equipped with a bench, a table and lots of comfortable chairs and is an ideal place to start the day with a nice breakfast or to end the day gazing at the blue of the sea and the stars. Tip: your sleep will be accompanied by the breeze and sound of the sea(URL HIDDEN)In the smaller “forest" balcony there is also a table and chairs and the view is different, with the emphasis being put in the dense pine forest.
We will gladly provide you for free with: sun-umbrellas, folding sand-chairs as well as a canoe with two paddles, in order to keep you… fit, while you will be exploring the successive, quiet, small coves of our area.

In the comfortable 5 acres plot of the building, children and adults alike have plenty of space to play, read, discuss, have a drink, pick figs, pomegranates or apples, with the best point being the wooden outdoor table overlooking the sea and the forest. There is also an outdoor shower installation for your convenience. The sense of being in the middle of nature, in between the forest and right in front of the sea, is a strong and relaxing one.

In our immediate vicinity you can do a lot of things: bicycling, jogging or walking in the 7kms flat dirt road among the extended pine forest. You can reach on foot Metamorfosis or Nikiti, either by the sea shore or by the dirt road.
In Metamorfosis village (two kilometers by car or half an hour walking through the dirt road) you will find: mini-markets, groceries, taverns, gyros fast-foods, pharmacy-drug store, and various small shops for beach and clothes accessories, souvenirs, moto/bicycle rental etc(URL HIDDEN)Nikiti is a larger village (5kms away), located in the entrance of Sithonia peninsula and is one of the main tourist destinations in Halkidiki. Here you have to visit the perfectly preserved old part of the village (with its stone houses), the ancient Basilica of Sofronios, the church of Agios Nikitas (with the marvelous panoramic view of almost half of Halkidiki) and the many beautiful beaches around Nikiti. From the nearby port of Ormos Panagias daily cruises depart for Mount Athos peninsula and Ammouliani island.
In Nikiti you can find a variety of restaurants, taverns, large supermarkets (Masoutis & Lidl), groceries and butcher stores, banks, ATMs, pharmacies-drug stores, and a variety of shops, moto/bicycle rental etc. The main health centre of this peninsula is in Agios Nikolaos, only 16km away from our house.

Two words about us:
Daniel works as a travel journalist and mountain guide in Paiko mountain, where we have a chestnut farm, open for visitors (schools and families). As a consequence I love travelling, being with people and getting to know new places in Greece and abroad. I am fluent in English and a speak intermediate French.
Maya works as a physiotherapist and loves to travel as well. She is very much into cooking, producing gourmet dishes, jams and sauces. She speaks fluently Russian.
