First time to Alaska and this property was perfect, right in the middle of downtown. It’s within easy walking distance to so much. The views were great from the unit as well & we enjoyed watching the bald eagles that would fly by the windows. Highly recommend!
This was a wonderful apartment for our stay in Sitka. The unit had everything we needed and the hosts were helpful. The location is very central and great for walking to most points of interest in Sitka. The extra bedroom for my kids was great and we would recommend this place to anyone
Overpriced for what you get. The unit itself was in a run down building , and the owner did accommodate an early check-in, which we appreciated. But several issues made the stay frustrating. Honestly, I’m not sure how this place has such great reviews unless people’s standards are very low. There was visible dust under the sofa, no trash liners in the bins, and noise from the retail shops below carried into the unit more than expected. The unit itself is quite old, and the temperature control was inconsistent. The front bedroom became uncomfortably hot while the back bedroom stayed freezing cold throughout our stay. The building overall also felt run down and not particularly well maintained. The biggest issue was building access. The elevator is key-operated, but there was absolutely no indication of that until after searching the den and eventually finding the welcome book sitting on the counter. By then, we had already carried our luggage up two flights of stairs. The instructions for using the elevator were buried in the welcome book, which was frustrating to deal with after traveling.Checkout was also unpleasant. We were delayed by a few minutes because of heavy rain, and the cleaning agent was unnecessarily rude about it instead of showing basic understanding. The cleaning crew was interfering with checkout to the point that we were unable to properly take out the trash. In the confusion, we accidentally left a bag behind and had to involve the police.
You couldn’t ask for a more central location to downtown Sitka and all the action. Spacious accommodation and comfortable for a family of 4.

We stayed for two nights before heading to our fishing lodge. It was super easy to find and right in the heart of town. We loved the views of the ocean and the mountains. Very well kept and comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again.
The stay at Katy and Jack's was awesome. The location was in the middle of town and within walking distance of many restaurants and sights. I will definately stay here again!
It's hard to find a better location to stay in Sitka than this! Incredibly convenient to everything, especially the harbor and restaurants. The inside is simple but sufficient, and the beds were super comfortable. We appreciated the flexibility from the owners.
