Panoramic view

It is fair to say getting to the property was challenging, however, once there the property is amazing, the property is wonderful, clean and the views are to die for. Staff were also extremely helpful and attentive. An amazing stay.

HEAVEN on EARTH!

My host Judy was absolutely outstanding. I was picked up from the airport and at the end of my stay dropped off at the airport. Her staff is so accommodating and lovely, to which they prepared my meals daily and took me on tours (very budget friendly). The grounds are so beautiful that words cannot fully describe the peaceful and serene atmosphere. For Sure I will book again.

Serene Getaway

This property is just breathtaking! Judy and Sylvan are excellent communicators and nothing is too much for them to do! Above and beyond hospitality! From day trips to fresh fruit in my lanai daily. Just an amazing time. The property is expanse so lots of room to roam and explore, the view is amazing and worth waking up to. The roads to get there, (10minutes up a hill) or lack there of requires a bit of patience and a rugged type vehicle, but once you get there, totally worth it! Bring insect repellent, you will need it, after all, it’s the hills!

Thank you for your review and feedback. We enjoyed hosting you at Blu Vista. You are a ‘poster child’ child for remote working only taking time out on the weekend😁 Regarding the road, they did some work a few weeks ago, and a community association has been formed and we are having fund raising events (the first is August 19) and with the help of the municipality plant to make significant improvements. Blu Vista will also be offering a car/driver and rent a car option in the near future. Regarding the insects I believe you are referring to that pesky lizard which you explained you were scared of. We do our best to balance the natural environment with the comfort of our guests . Nevertheless, we will be more diligent prior to arrivals to make sure none have gotten in. As for the mosquitos (even one can be an annoyance) in addition to ensuring window screens and doors are closed at dusk we will seek out more effective repellants Not withstanding the above we enjoyed hosting you for the month, and wish you all the best.

Returning to Jamaica several years ago, I found a property with lovely, sweeping panoramic views in a quiet community not far from Montego Bay. I decided to build a 'cottage' (2016) . Since then it has become my passion; turning my hand to gardening and home farming, learning the local names and uses of trees and plants and mixing with the small community. I continue to enhance the property and am there most days as I live nearby.

Blu Vista is a relaxing environment, allowing you to enjoy Jamaica like a tourist with the insider's touch of locals. The 3 acre property is secure with a caretaker, and an assortment of Peacocks on site.

As the host I can provided with a complimentary drive around the area including an opportunity to pick up groceries and get a feel for the area.
