The tree house was a great place to stay. I enjoyed beautiful weather while i was there. The outdoor amenities are better than expected with the shower being the star. The hosts were friendly and made me feel comfortable. I only wish i could have stayed longer.

Cute peaceful treehouse

My boyfriend and I stayed here on our way home from a roadtrip and absolutely loved it! Very clean and private treehouse with a great outdoor space. The host was super friendly and showed us around the property when we arrived. Will definitely be back in the future :)

The Chi Tree House was a beautiful place. The tree house was so cute. The grounds we amazing. We had a wonderful time exploring the orchard, vineyard, yoga area, and swing on the property. It is a peaceful sanctuary. The host Gregory gave us a tour and answered our questions promptly via text. We can not wait to go back.

Nice retreat.

Loved the property and all the thought that has gone into the setup. The map was a cute touch. Good communication and easy to get in and out. Had a minor scare with some wildlife rustling in the night, but we felt safe enough with the blinds down. Not too far from Albuquerque, convenient to drive in and out.

Nice Experience

We were greeted by a wonderful host. If you love to camp the Tree-house will be an excellent choice for you. We are not campers but love the outdoors. Be prepared for limited amenities and an interesting walk to the bathroom. This was not the glamping experience we were expecting but many may love it. A great place to try. The host gave us some excellent area suggestions and was amazingly pleasant.

What a great place to stay! It was serene and very quaint. The directions were great, easy to find. Gregory met us when we arrived and showed us around. We loved the tree house. Very relaxing. The outdoor shower was great! The tree house bed was very comfortable. We had a perfect night to sleep outside. We had been visiting for the Balloon Fiesta ... just one night. Left early to get to the early morning activities. Great location.

Great hosts! Beautiful property and grounds. The Treehouse unit was beautiful. Glamping is the appropriate adjective - it's a true treehouse. Great style, a bit rough around the edges as it should be. Loved that it was in the low 40s at night which kept the treehouse cold enough to snuggle under the ample blankets. every thing we needed was provided. The outdoor shower was brilliant!

A small slice of paradise!

My wife and I absolutely loved this place! It’s everything that we’d hoped and more. It’s has nice little kitchen area that has basically everything you could need and a quaint little sitting area for breakfast. The fire pit is set up for grilling which we took full advantage of. The facilities are fully stocked and well kept. The bed is surprisingly comfy and it comes with a warmer that makes it cozy even on colder nights. The management are friendly and easy going. Beautiful sky. Beautiful mountain scenery. We honestly could not have had a better experience.

Absolutely wonderful

These are phenomenal people running a very special little place. We loved it here. It’s serene. It’s fun. It’s peaceful. It’s shockingly clean given that it’s largely an indoor/outdoor type of stay arrangement. Clean outdoor bathrooms and showers. Plenty of hot and cold running water. Soap, towels, you name it. Just really excellent hosts. You won’t regret staying here! We are SURE to be back and we are grateful to have found it. Thanks Roberta and Gregory!

Why they chose this property

Roberta and I fell in Love with Sunny Mellow as we ascending the local peaks and looked down on it's quiet, Shangra-La secluded valley so conveniently close but over the sound break ridge from I 40. Just a jump in any direction to the Glories of New Mexico, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Mountain Air, or The Blue Hole at Santa Rosa! We looked at each other and committed that one day we would own a piece of property that we would make uniquely ours in that Edenic Valley... And HERE WE ARE!!! Ride'Um Cowboy... Whoopee!

The Sunny Mellow Eco Villa Story

The serendipity of Sunny Mellow began with the name... Our daughter Elliott Marie penned a fantasy story in the 4th grade. In checking it for errors, I noticed the name of her fantastic Land was "Sunny Mellow". We had just purchased the first half of the property when I asked her if we could use her Sunny Mellow Name for our new home. "Sure Daddy" she replied in total cuteness, "The Sunny Mellow Name will help keep our home safe and alway happy and fun". She continued. "There are not many places were the Sun rises in the East end of the canyon and sets in the West end of a canyon", she though with her eyebrows lifted! "And we need a name that makes everyone smile", she exclaimed! "I can't wait to meet people from all over the World!"Oh Daddy". Then with a quite afterthought, Elliott Marie came close to my ear and whispered... "I Love My Sunny Bedroom at Sunny Mellow"!
