Literally in the mountains on the edge of Albuquerque, this cozy fully furnished 1 bedroom is an attached apartment with its own private garage and patio. Sandia Mountain hiking trails start right out the back door, while still being within 20 minutes of downtown Albuquerque. Our nearest neighbors are 500 feet away and all around us are stunning vistas of the city and incredible views of the mountains. If you love being in the wilderness, this is the most secluded place you will find on the west side of the mountain. And for our summer guests, escape the heat in the higher altitude. Though a/c usage is limited to afternoon, our place never gets warmer than 75 and cools down quickly at night. Also, round out your vacation with a session with our on premises acupuncturist and massage therapist. Message me for details.

About Owner / Property Manager

My wife Olivia and I, plus our son Bodhi are happy to be hosts to people from around the world. I am currently a general contractor and my wife is a sign language interpreter. I grew near Chicago and moved to Albuquerque in 2003 where I performed in a theater group for 12 years until recently starting my contracting business. Olivia moved to Albuquerque in 2003 as well and after attending UNM began here career as an interpreter. We met at a coffee shop where we were both working and were married 7 years later.

Great place but hard to get to.

Beautiful location and hikes outside our door. Dirt road up to house is tiring after a long day. Bryan was very accommodating and even turned off the coffee pot after we had left one morning and remembered it hadn't been turned off. The freezer needs ice trays and you are asked to do laundry during the day because they are off the grid. Otherwise I would have given it five stars!

Great location in the Sandia Mtns.

Bryan was very friendly. Pleasant small apt. with everything I needed. Great location near Sandia Mtn trailheads. Perhaps not the best choice if you need reliable phone or internet access.

Perfect place for a getaway!

We had an amazing stay! The space was perfect, and the location was gorgeous! We couldn't believe how close to the mountains we were. The apartment was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. We loved the view and getting some sun on the back patio. The bed was comfortable, and the closet was great for storing luggage. We enjoyed cooking - the kitchen was well stocked. The bathroom was clean and had storage space. The washer/dryer was a huge help! The living area was perfect for relaxing in the evening.

Bryan and Olivia were amazing hosts! I got a bad sunburn our very first day, and Olivia showed up with an aloe plant me for to use on my burn! It was so sweet and thoughtful! They were also very attentive to anything we needed and offered to provide directions if we needed them. They also provided detailed instructions for finding their home. We were so glad to have found this place. It was a short distance to the La Luz trail. We could get to the grocery store quickly if needed. We felt so lucky to stay here and would love to come back!

We would highly recommend this place!

Friendly, quiet and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable one bedroom vacation rental. The owners were very friendly and quickly responded to questions and requests. Definitely a pet friendly rental. Our puppy had a great time! The unit is in the lower level of the owner's home, but you have your own garage and private patio. We liked that we were a little outside of town, but we're able to visit Old a Town Albuquerque easily. Hiking trails are located off the road to the home, which we liked. The road to the home is up some unpaved, winding roads. OK once you know where you are going , but would recommend arriving in daylight. We enjoyed our stay.
