Cette liste a été rénovée avec une nouvelle cuisine, salle de bain et salle de lavage. À l’origine «La maison du prêtre», certaines parties de la maison datent de près de 100 ans. Les clients ressentent le pouls d'une communauté de la Nouvelle-Angleterre tout en maintenant un sentiment de confort et d'intimité. Idéalement situé près du marché de Tilton, du bureau de poste, du lycée, etc. 4 invités peuvent partager confortablement cette location avec 2 chambres et une troisième chambre en option. The house was very clean and cozy. It is in a wooded area so there are ants inside, but that was no reflection on the cleanliness. If you have lower back troubles the couch may exacerbate them, but with a few extra pillows I found it to be just fine. Very nice place all around.

Charmingly Remodeled

We only stayed for one night, but this cottage was all we needed. It’s been thoughtfully remodeled, was very clean, and all the beds were comfy. Our ten-year-old loved the “cuckoo clock room’s” loft doors. If our travels take us this way again, would definitely stay here.

Excellent, Cozy Home

Me and my two teenagers stayed here for 3 nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The home is exactly as advertised, clean, well-stocked and cute as can be. The first night we had a power outage and the wood stove kept us warm (and it was fun and cozy!). Everyone slept extremely well on comfy beds. The shower was perfect and the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals.It was truly a fantastic stay and we will be back soon!

Spacious Maine Getaway

My husband and I stayed at Michaels rental for a wedding weekend in Maine. The location was perfect for the two of us. The space was clean and Michael was very responsive to our questions and prompt to help us get in the property. Would highly recommend for a small family getaway!

Better than advertised

We visited in winter time, lots of snow and beautiful scenery. The home is cozy and relaxing, we cooked every morning. The general store up the street has everything you need. The location was convenient , not more than an hour from anywhere interesting. We loved our stay!

Overall Good, The washing machine didn’t work. The hot water kept cutting out, there is a hole in the bathroom floor that appears wet and is sinking, the living room furniture is terribly uncomfortable and should be replaced. There is an electrical outlet in the living room next to the love seat on the kitchen side that isn’t working properly. We were charging phones and that outlet didn’t perform. UPSIDE: the bed in the master bedroom was really comfortable. The set up was perfect, kitchen was adequate, location was great. I would stay there again if the furniture in the living room was replaced.

Our stay at this property was excellent, start to finish. Priced right for the location and the amenities, the place was everything as described. Comfortable bedding, flexible sleeping arrangements (3 bedrooms) and well equipped. Communication with the manager/owner was easy and quick. Highly recommend this property for a no frills experience. About an hour drive to Sunday River resort where we skied.

A week away

We stayed for a week. It was great. Quiet, cozy and clean. Bed ate comfortable, kitchen had all the necessities, and a few extras too. The perfect place to unwind and just get away from it all. Yet only a short day trip to Portland, Bangor and many other small coastal towns.

My partner, Andrea, who is originally from Prague, Czech Republic, is a woman of many talents who loves nature and the arts. We make our home together here in rural Maine. We enjoy Airbnb hosting and welcome guests from all around the world. When we travel, we prefer to stay away from the touristy places and hang out with the locals, discovering hidden places and having authentic experiences. We live nearby our Village House in case there are any issues that come up with our rentals.

This is a great property for folks who are visiting family or friends in the area, planning outdoor activities, attending weddings or events, or who are in the area for work assignments. The internet is fast for doing work on line and everything is convenient being right in the village. Our neighbors are quiet and respectful.

The Nifty Village House is an authentic homestay. It's not a commercial rental property. It feels like a real home because it has many handcrafted features and the furnishings that are family treasures that go back several decades.
