Perfect place to actually unplug and enjoy yourself in the outdoors. Really like the simplicity and the camp spots that are already there. Can't wait to come back and camp in the woods next. Thank you.
Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
We absolutely loved our stay here. The campground is quiet and beautiful. Our campsite backed up to a large stream and small waterfall, which was wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of. The trails through the woods are a great attribute to the campground and absolutely worth the trek up the hill. We will definitely be returning.
Sweet private camp 20 minutes from Hocking. Large sites, shower, porta potty, firewood, nice owner. Close to a road but little traffic. Sites were not as distant from each other as I believed based on reviews.
It really was a great time. So peaceful and quiet. They give you a map and let you pick a spot
I can’t wait to camp there again. It was just one of the best locations I have camped at. The stars and crickets were so relaxing. If you like to camp visit this site. They give you a map and also tell you about other places to see while you are enjoying your stay. Thanks so much. I will be back
Nice spots to camp and mostly peaceful. Water was very low so the stream was dry, not a problem though. The grass could’ve been mowed in the camping spot. Lots of ticks so bring spray. Also about 8pm a bunch of people came and camped or partied next to us through out the night. There were about 10 cars and were very loud much later than 10 pm.
This is our third time staying here. The check in process is extremely simple, the host is remarkably available and quick to respond, and guests truly hold up their end of the bargain on “leaving no trace” upon leaving. There are items to borrow and items to buy in a cabinet/shelter which is on the honor system. I really appreciated the host allowing us to pay for firewood at the end of the stay so we wouldn’t have to make multiple payments- it made it extremely easy. We’re already planning our return, hopefully in a couple weeks. Thanks for sharing your land!
We picked a pre-made campsite for ourselves in a little grove in the middle field. The first morning a hummingbird joined us briefly in midair in our campsite. There were a number of other birds chirping and singing in the trees and field around us. Camping in the tree-line offered much-needed shade and we enjoyed having so much space to ourselves unlike a usual campground. The host was hospitable and promptly answer All my inquiries.
We loved it here! Nestled in the hills, this is a place you can really go to escape the city. The trails were really cool to walk, very steep though! Our area was able to have 4 camp sites but they were all spaced so far apart so we still felt nice n private in a way. The stars were stunning and so many if them due to no light pollution. Plenty of wildlife too! 10/10 would come back again
Everything was exactly as described with the listing. It's absolutely beautiful. If you decide to go with the sites that are already set up, they are very spacious and well kept.
It was our first primitive camping experience and we all thoroughly enjoyed it!

Too noisy! Barely slept!
First I want to say this place has the potential to be really lovely. Unfortunately we realized that generators must be allowed 24 hours a day, because there were 3 running almost the entire time we were there, day and night. The group also had flood lights illuminating an entire field for campers.
I didn't feel comfortable knocking in the owners door after hours, and I had zero cell reception, so we just had to deal with rude disrespectful campers.
We didn't stay our second night because we were tired of listening to generators running constantly!
Also, they advertise there were solar showers, but they are NOT finished, so no showers available and you have to go behind the owners house for water.
We had a great stay at this rustic campsite. We met Caleb at his house across the road from the campsites. He was very informative and provided us with maps and lists of his favorite things in the area. The property has a large creek that runs through it, though it was mostly dry at this time. There are trails up the wooded hill for hiking, or for an adventurous off-roader. Everything was as expected and we would definitely come back again.
We had a great weekend! Camp site close to Hocking Hills. We had a very remote wooded camp site away from other campers and felt we had the whole place to ourselves. No cell service, but it was nice to disconnect. Highly recommend!
Took my two kids here for a night.... they had so much fun I could barely get them to come back to the tent! Has a tiny creek with tiny creek chubs. Fun for the kids to get them in the spirit of fishing. Highly recommend this plae6
We absolutely loved our stay. We of course waited until the last minute to try to find somewhere to camp and thats unheard of nowadays since you have to book a campsite 6 months in advance! Caleb was so responsive and even had visitor guides for us when we got there. The land is vast and very spread out, we didn’t have anyone near us! We loved the privacy and the serenity of the property and ended up booking again!
