Located in the mid-Hudson Valley just 70 miles North of NYC, surrounded by open fields, where horses run right up to the backyard fence. With no other homes close by, we are perched on the high plane overlooking the Shawangunk Ridge (the Gunks). The property is centrally located to activities in the Mid Hudson Valley but also very close to Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Preserve & Mountain House, the Shawangunk Wine Trail and orchard trail, the Ulster County Fair Grounds, Walkway Over the Hudson and the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, as well as SUNY New Paltz. We also have great restaurants within 10 minutes. it's truly a one of a kind property. The vacation rental is a 4 Bedroom, 3.5 Bathroom house which offers unique views of the Shawangunk Ridge, a place where horses come up to the backyard fence and rainbows abound. It has large picture windows throughout the living space, Living room, Dining room, 3-Season room, which brings the scenic outdoors in. This rental house includes two bedrooms that have en-suite bathrooms, Living room Dining room, Kitchen, 3-Season room, large Patio with outdoor eating & grilling areas, large backyard. We love the 3-season lounge with its large windows and the sizable patio for al fresco dining that enhances the outdoor living. Another aspect we love are the 3 upstairs bedrooms and the two newly renovated bathrooms, with the upstairs master bedroom having a newly renovated en-suite bathroom that has a whirlpool soaker tub, glass shower enclosure and Carrara marble double sink vanities. The house also has a second Master Bedroom on the main floor with its own full bathroom and shower. An extra half bath is also on the main floor. This cool pad is within a half hour drive from Stewart International Airport, also within 20 minutes of Kingston, Rosendale, Hyde Park, Poughkeepsie, Newburgh and Beacon. The property is just 15 min from Huguenot Street in New Paltz, Mohonk Preserve, Minnewaska State Park, Walkway Over the Hudson; it’s on the Shawangunk Wine Trail, plus it’s 5 minutes from the Angry Orchard Tasting room, Wallkill Railtrail, Whitecliff Winery and Shawangunk Grasslands for bird watching.

What makes this property unique
Situated between 2 rivers, the Wallkill and Shawangunk, the property is high up on a ridge, which (besides from the spectacular views) offers a cooling breeze on hot summer days. Guests often exclaim they didn't know how hot it was 'out there' cause the air is so cooling here on the property... especially under the big maple tree by the patio.
