About this property

Airy 3BR on the banks of a roaring creek

Grand re-opening! Relax to the sounds of a roaring waterfall right outside the back door. Enjoy the large deck with a new grill, hammock, fire pit, and swing bench. Dip your feet in the powerful Mombaccus Creek or play in our calmer little stream. Inside the airy home, continue your feeling of being surrounded by woods with expansive windows and skylights.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking equipment you should need. No dishwasher, though. Puzzles and a few games are available in the living room. Wifi is strong enough for zoom calls and basic streaming. We do not have a TV.

The skylit primary bedroom opens out onto a balcony overlooking the deck and the cascading waterfalls at Mombaccus Creek. The bedroom has one queen sized bed and two floor-level seats that each fold out into twin-sized mattresses.

The kids room has a bunk bed and a huge squishy bean bag chair. The guest room has a queen sized bed.

The upstairs bathroom has a deep bathtub with a gorgeous skylight. The downstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower.

15 minute drive to hiking, climbing, and swimming at Minnewaska State Park. Enjoy the Shawangunk Mountains, pick-your-own fruit farms, Arrowood Farms, Westwind Orchard, and animal farm visits.

Everything you could want in a mountain getaway!

The view at this place is gorgeous! We enjoyed our coffee on the balcony every morning, overlooking the cascading stream, watching the heron hunt and the deer families walk on by. I come home to visit my family in Kerhonkson often, and this home really stood out as special. It's incredibly clean. It is usually impossible to find a place this clean that is also pet friendly. But this place is pristine. It has ALL the amenities. The washer and dryer are a plus. The kitchen is well equipped. There's just so much attention to detail that makes this place such a relaxing getaway. The fire pit by the water was lovely. Checking in was a breeze, contactless and without issue. The hosts communicated everything clearly and were responsive. The checkout instructions were easy to follow and were not overly demanding in any way. Cant wait to stay here again!

Exactly what is shown but better. So clean. Great location, secluded and quiet but 15-20 minutes from most things in the area. 30 minutes to Kingston/Rhinebeck. Owners were great with communication. Perfect for our family!

Girl family getaway

The property was beautiful, just as described. Very roomy and accommodated our whole family of 7 women. Appliances all worked well and the outside deck overlooked the waterfall, which was awesome. We went apple picking one day, which was basically right around the corner. Would absolutely recommend this home to anyone who wants to get away to relax. Our host made sure our stay was comfortable and let us know he would be available if we needed anything. We will definitely be back.

Catskill cabin

The pictured falls and creek were wonderful to hear, view and wade/sit but no paths on the property to walk. There are beautiful attractions a short drive away in the area. Although the cabin is nice, it is in need of some maintenance, storage and upgrading of amenities to justify the cost. The owners were great and responsive to some concerns.

comfortable for all of us, with a very nice deck

i rent a house every year to spend time with my grown children and their families. this house was comfortable for all of us and had everything we needed for our stay. we explored the area during the day, then had family dinner and bonfire at night. we especially enjoyed the deck for morning coffee and evening drinks.

perfect serene oasis for our family get-together

The Waterfalls House was the perfect serene oasis for our family get-together. The setting is storybook. A beautiful cabin facing the most charming wooded waterfall. Even when you're indoors the large bank of windows facing the falls allow you to enjoy the stunning view. The house is fresh and clean. John and Elizabeth have clearly paid attention to all the details. We had everything needed to make a family dinner, the mattresses were super comfortable, the rooms aren't cramped, the deck is large and the view is outstanding. It feels very private without being remote. In fact, the property isn't huge but with the fire pit, benches and river bank we never felt constrained. One sweet detail was a lovely birthday wish and gift from the hosts. What a gem.
