What's better than beachfront? Our place! We are directly across the street from the beach, so you get the convenience of beachfront without the beachfront prices. You are a shorter walk to the beach from our condo than you would be in the big resorts with 'beachfront' prices.

Come relax and feel the sand between your toes in beautiful South Padre Island. This is the perfect place to get away from it all. Even better, is our location. We are directly across the street from the beach, and there is a beach access just steps from the condo. It's like being beachfront without the prices! There are no hotels around us, so the beach is not as crowded, and the neighborhood is quiet.

Stream your favorite apps, ZOOM, eLearn, etc. with high-speed WIFI internet. Our condos are pet friendly and kid friendly. They are also great for a romantic getaway. Are you setting up a girls' weekend or reunion? You can rent out an entire floor or the whole building and have a private vacation!

New upgrades: Keurig coffee maker, Berlin Gardens outdoor pool furniture, 6 beach chairs, 1 Tommy Bahama beach umbrella, 6 beach towels and a beach wagon. Outdoor 8' professional table by the pool and outdoor TV.

We are thrilled that you are looking at spending some time with us at Athena Ares Condominiums. Our beach home is a pet friendly, family vacation rental. We give 10% discount to Military, Police, and Firemen. The traveler securing the reservation must be 25 years of age or older. For Spring Break / Semana Santa all rental guests must comply with a family's only restriction. If the dates that you are looking for are not available in this condo, we have 5 more fantastic condos in the same great complex that might work for your dates. Perfect spot

The condo is in a perfect spot. Across from the beach, close to everything. We enjoyed everything about the condo. Comfortable bed, clean, great balcony, refreshing pool, perfect distance to the beach. And.. we got to bring our animals! Thank you for a great vacation.

Family Beach Getaway

The place was very nice and close to everything! The furniture was comfortable and having access to beach chairs and wagon was fantastic! Be sure to bring your own coffee and toiletries though.

The condo was perfect! It is in a great location, very clean and comfortable, and included everything we needed for the week. We loved the pool, outdoor kitchen & pool table. We would definitely stay here again!

Just right

The process for renting, check in and check out were absolutely fantastic and easy. The location was a three minute walk to the beach and the neighborhood street was very well maintained. The two bedroom condo was also very well maintained and very clean. I will definitely keep this location on my top 5 for staying at the island with pets.

Always clean. One minute walk to the beach. Pool area is always clean, good grill, nice large screen outdoor Tv. Have rented here 5 times over last decade, the new owners have upgraded this place.

Perfect location on the Island

We have stayed at this property 5x in 8 years. They have been doing upgrades each year and they are greatly appreciated. Perfect location for beach walks. Wonderful heated pool and large hot tub. Love that it is dog friendly. Ample parking. Nice patios on each unit.

Fantastic Vacation Condo

This is our second stay and love the condo and location! Very clean, great setup, wonderful furnishings and dog friendly. We love having our pups along on the vacation and the owners are very accomodating. Great pool area, hot tub, and bbq. Easy access to the beach. Booking and instructions are super easy - made for another wonderful vacation to South Padre. Highly recommend this complex.

Great Location/Great Home

We had an amazing stay at Athena Ares this past week. Condo was perfect location to the beach (1minute walk across the street) and condo was spacious enough for our family of 4 and dog. Loved that we had two dedicated parking spots right in the front. Huge benefit was having the wagon and beach chairs available to use and not having to bring those from home with us. Property manager Sandy was so incredibly sweet and brought me some spare light bulbs. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking utensils you would need. Would absolutely stay here again on our next trip.

Perfect for our wedding party!

This property was perfect! We had all ages and were there for a wedding. We rented the entire complex so we had use of the pool area. It was perfect for the rehearsal dinner and the reception!!!! Within walking distance of Wanna. Wanna and close to shopping. Across the street from the beach where we had the wedding so super convenient. It was safe and quiet and friendly. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again!!!

Incredible place to stay on SPI!

We decided to make a quick trip down to SPI...after researching and looking at a ton of properties, along with their reviews, we decided on this property. Never have we stayed at a place that was exactly as listed, but this one exceeded our expectations!! The condo was immaculate. The furnishings were high end. The pool was clean and sparkling and just the right temperature. We loved having the wagon, beach chairs and umbrella to use on the beach. The owners were extremely responsive which is a nice touch when staying in a vacation rental. We will definitely stay here again!

Favorite Vacation Spot

We have been coming to this condo rental for countless years and it never disappoints. Very clean, comfortable, with great amenities, easy to process, and great proximity to the beach. My kids loved having access to a pool in addition to the beach. Great setup for cleaning off sandy beach items. I really appreciate having a kitchen with full refrigerator, microwave, oven, and dishwasher. We usually bring our own beach gear but we appreciate the provided beach towels (we use them for the pool) and the beach gear in case we forget something. I also really appreciate that there are two parking spots reserved for each unit. I highly recommend any of the units in this complex. Thanks for another great vacation!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was very clean and condo was just as advertised. Excellent location. If you plan on doing much cooking you may want to bring some extra storage containers for leftover food. There were a few burned out lightbulbs which made the kitchen a little dark for cooking. We were unable to find replacements and the owners didnt respond - not a big issue and that would be our only complaint. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Pool area was great!

Fantastic Christmas Getaway

We just got back from a wonderful, week long stay here and all I can say is thank you to the owners of this place for providing peaceful, clean and enjoyable experience for us. We’ve never had a Christmas on the beach and I wanted something comfortable, where we could work remotely a few days and head to the beach in the afternoons, and it provided us exactly that. The proximity of every thing you need and want (groceries and other stores and obviously the water) is entirely walkable. The wifi was reliable and allowed us to work as needed. The kitchen amenities never faltered and we were able to cook our meals well. We never experienced noisy neighbors or street sounds, so we slept very well. There was a power outage that listed very few minutes but it was minimal, and did not cause an inconvenience to us. I very much look forward to coming back here next time I come down to SPI! Thank you!

Why they chose this property

The location is great! We can easily head back to the condo for lunch or just to grab more digging stuff. Then it's just a 1-2 minute walk back across the street and we are there, in the water! We also love walking down to the Wanna Wanna Inn for fried shrimp, cold beer, and good music. When our family comes to visit, we stay in all of the condos and spread out. We get to enjoy being close together without listening to each other snore!
