What's better than beachfront? Our place! We are directly across the street from the beach, so you get the convenience of beachfront without the beachfront prices. You are a shorter walk to the beach from our condo than you would be in the big resorts with 'beachfront' prices.

Come relax and feel the sand between your toes in beautiful South Padre Island. This is the perfect place to get away from it all. Even better, is our location. We are directly across the street from the beach, and there is a beach access just steps from the condo. It's like being beachfront without the prices! There are no hotels around us, so the beach is not as crowded, and the neighborhood is quiet.

Stream your favorite apps, ZOOM, eLearn, etc. with high-speed WIFI internet. Our condos are pet friendly and kid friendly. They are also great for a romantic getaway. Are you setting up a girls' weekend or reunion? You can rent out an entire floor or the whole building and have a private vacation!

New upgrades: Keurig coffee maker, Berlin Gardens outdoor pool furniture, 6 beach chairs, 1 Tommy Bahama beach umbrella, 6 beach towels and a beach wagon. Outdoor 8' professional table by the pool and outdoor TV.

We are thrilled that you are looking at spending some time with us at Athena Ares Condominiums. Our beach home is a pet friendly, family vacation rental. We give 10% discount to Military, Police, and Firemen. The traveler securing the reservation must be 25 years of age or older. For Spring Break / Semana Santa all rental guests must comply with a family's only restriction. If the dates that you are looking for are not available in this condo, we have 5 more fantastic condos in the same great complex that might work for your dates. We would appreciate the opportunity to accommodate your stay on the island.

Family Beach Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Athena Ares! The amenities were great, condo was spacious enough for our family of 4 plus our dog Max, and location was right across the street from a beach access. Was a fun family getaway, thanks again.

Perfect spot

The condo is in a perfect spot. Across from the beach, close to everything. We enjoyed everything about the condo. Comfortable bed, clean, great balcony, refreshing pool, perfect distance to the beach. And.. we got to bring our animals! Thank you for a great vacation.

The place was very nice and close to everything! The furniture was comfortable and having access to beach chairs and wagon was fantastic! Be sure to bring your own coffee and toiletries though.

Always clean. One minute walk to the beach. Pool area is always clean, good grill, nice large screen outdoor Tv. Have rented here 5 times over last decade, the new owners have upgraded this place.

Perfect location on the Island

We have stayed at this property 5x in 8 years. They have been doing upgrades each year and they are greatly appreciated. Perfect location for beach walks. Wonderful heated pool and large hot tub. Love that it is dog friendly. Ample parking. Nice patios on each unit.

Fantastic Vacation Condo

This is our second stay and love the condo and location! Very clean, great setup, wonderful furnishings and dog friendly. We love having our pups along on the vacation and the owners are very accomodating. Great pool area, hot tub, and bbq. Easy access to the beach. Booking and instructions are super easy - made for another wonderful vacation to South Padre. Highly recommend this complex.

The process for renting, check in and check out were absolutely fantastic and easy. The location was a three minute walk to the beach and the neighborhood street was very well maintained. The two bedroom condo was also very well maintained and very clean. I will definitely keep this location on my top 5 for staying at the island with pets.

Awesome place to stay!

This condo was fantastic!! I would highly recommend staying here. We had 4 adults and 2 kids, and had plenty of room. The condo was super clean, the beds were ultra comfy, and kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. But really the best feature was how close it was to the beach. It truly was only a 2 minute walk. Plus, the wagon, chairs, and beach towels that came with the condo made beach life so much easier and more comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome stay Mothers Day weekend

Pool area is nice, upgraded pool and patio furniture is great. Condo is clean, parking is close. On first impression the hot tub looked like it was very dirty, however it was simply stained or perhaps ready for resurfacing. The beds were comfy, everything was nice. Paperwork is a lot but that seems to be standard with VRBO . If anything I would suggest repairs to hot tub and to the lock boxes . Took a lot ofTime to get my keys because the boxes are rusty and hard to manipulate. I would say 4.8 / 5 and look forward to next stay .

B-Day Vacation

Our stay at Athena Ares was PERFECT! The condo was beyond beautiful. Amber was amazing answering all my questions and making sure we had what we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and the walk to the beach was short and easy. I loved that our dogs got to enjoy a vacation with us without being cooped up in a hotel room. The pool area was amazing. We are already making plans for next year.

Perfect for our wedding party!

This property was perfect! We had all ages and were there for a wedding. We rented the entire complex so we had use of the pool area. It was perfect for the rehearsal dinner and the reception!!!! Within walking distance of Wanna. Wanna and close to shopping. Across the street from the beach where we had the wedding so super convenient. It was safe and quiet and friendly. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again!!!

Why they chose this property

The location is great! We can easily head back to the condo for lunch or just to grab more digging stuff. Then it's just a 1-2 minute walk back across the street and we are there, in the water! We also love walking down to the Wanna Wanna Inn for fried shrimp, cold beer, and good music. When our family comes to visit, we stay in all of the condos and spread out. We get to enjoy being close together without listening to each other snore!
