Acerca de este alojamiento

For the first time we are happy to offer for rental, our family compound “Timeout”, located on Main Street in the beautiful village of Sconset in Nantucket. Timeout is situated on a large lot with beautiful hedged in yards, front and back, with a heated pool and outdoor cooking center. The main house has 5 bedrooms each with its own full bath, and a finished basement, also with a full bath and shower. The separate guest house has 1 bedroom, a living room, a full bath and shower, and its own washer/dryer. There is also an outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing after a long day at the beach. See below for floor plan details of our special home:
FIRST FLOOR: Enter into the grand foyer with a cathedral ceiling, powder room, and coat closet. Step down into the sunken living room with comfortable seating, a decorative fireplace and two doors on each end of the room that lead out to the back porch and pool area. To the right of the living room are a den and an office. The den has comfortable seating and flat-screen television. The office has a large desk, decorative fireplace and French doors that lead out to a separate back porch with a dining table and chairs. To the left of the living room are the dining room and kitchen. The dining room has a large table with seating for ten. The kitchen has granite countertops, a wood top island with seating for three, a kitchen table for six, two dishwashers, a Five Star four-burner gas range with a griddle, a Sub-Zero refrigerator and a separate bar area with a two-under the counter refrigerators. Behind the kitchen are another wing with a laundry room with sink, a back hall with a door that leads out to the driveway and a bedroom with a queen bed, French doors that lead out to the yard and pool area and an ensuite bathroom with a combination tub/shower. he back deck has a covered outside dining area perfect for dinners under the stars. The kitchen has a large center island which usually turns into the family gathering place. Two dishwashers make clean up a breeze.
SECOND FLOOR: Up the stairs to the right is the first bedroom with a queen bed, a window bench seat and an ensuite bathroom with a glass-enclosed tiled shower. The master bedroom at the back of the house has a king bed, two walk-in closets, a private deck and an ensuite bathroom with a soaking tub and glass-enclosed tiled shower. There are two additional guest bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed, each bedroom has a window seat and an ensuite bathroom with a combination tub/shower.
LOWER LEVEL: The finished lower level has a hand-crafted nautical style bar perfect for entertaining, as well as a television, a vintage PAC Man video arcade game, a play area for young children filled with toys, books, and activity centers, and ping pong room. The lower level also has a commercial sized washer and dryer.
GUEST COTTAGE: The guest house has a queen bedroom, a living room, kitchenette with a sink, washer and dryer, dishwasher and refrigerator and a bathroom with a combination tub/shower.
ABOUT SCONSET: If you are not familiar with Sconset, it is a self-contained village, a world far removed from the August bedlam of town. It has four restaurants, a quaint grocery store, liquor store, sandwich shop and post office. The house is a short bike ride or walk to the village where on many mornings people can be seen picking up fresh baked muffins and coffee at the Sconset Market or visiting the Bartlett's farm truck for fresh vegetables. Sconset has its own public beach access, but if you feel you want to branch out, the are many beaches within 10 minutes of the house. The Sconset “Casino” (tennis club) is open for public play in the afternoon. Most weeks there is also an old-fashioned movie night open to the public. The 9-hole public Siasconset Golf course is 5 minutes away. Miacomet golf course which has 18 holes is also open to the public and is about 15 minutes by car. A trip to town will take you about 15 minutes, but many people in Sconset never leave because they have everything, they need in one place!

Preguntas frecuentes
Acerca de su propietario/a
Propietario/a: Kech Realty Trust
We are a large family that has been coming to Nantucket for over 30 years. We settled in Sconset because we wanted to settle in a village where people were friendly, children could ride their bikes to the store and activities, while having plenty to experience without having to fight the summer crowds. Downtown is only 7 miles away, but at the end of your time in town its nice to know that you can always return to the tranquility of Sconset. We will do everything we can, through notes and ideas to help you create the same Nantucket experience we have had all these years.
Por qué escogió este alojamiento
This house is special to us because its large enough to house and entertain a large family, without being overwhelming. We love the fact that two of the second floor bedrooms have wonderful views of the Ocean making the mornings special. Dinner under the stars is special as well. There is little ambient light in Sconset, so the stargazing is magnificent. Equally important is that the location gives easy access to the village allowing an amount of freedom for walking or biking not enjoyed elsewhere on the Island, Finally the land behind ours is conservation land ensuring privacy in perpetuity.
Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial
Everything you will need is at the house. You'll find bicycles, surf casting rods, a kayak, nets for crabbing in Madaket and a variety of other things. For the beach there are chairs, an umbrella and bogey Boards. Just bring yourself!
