Unfortunately the building works at the neighbours are beyond our control, but I am glad that they did not disturb you . Dear Sarah, Thank you for your review of our holiday bungalow- I'm sorry that you felt unable to give it more than 3 stars. This bungalow is our beloved family holiday home - used by about 30 family members [and more friends]. It is described as 'well-loved, much used and a bit worn round the edges', which is what it is.... and is priced accordingly. We keep it in a state that is acceptable to our family and we expect guests to also accept this level of presentation/comfort etc [it is not a hotel]. Luckily most guests can see past the 'scuffs' seem to appreciate its 'homeliness'. We have had several parties staying this year already, and using all the beds, and none of them have said that there is any problem with the springs.....in fact this is the first time i have ever had this complaint. Dear Miranda, Thank you for your review and I'm sorry that you only felt able to give us a 3 star rating. Yes, the property is old [it has been in our family for 5 generations], and yes, in the wettest Spring on record it may have been a bit musty when you first entered, but as stated in the house notes this very quickly goes if you put on a couple of heaters or light a fire. I would dispute it being mouldy, dusty or cobwebby as I was only there 2 weeks prior to you and it was none of those things then. Yes, the property is full of the owners belongings, pictures, ornaments etc because this is OUR FAMILY HOLIDAY HOME that we allow other people to use from time to time for a modest fee. [It is not a hotel]. It is much-loved, and well-used, and most guests seem to like the 'homeliness' that these personal belongings bestow on it. Regarding being baby friendly - 5 generations of of our families babies have holidayed there very happily. There is baby equipment, high chairs etc, a whole cupboard of toys, and the garden is fenced and safe. The property is not suitable for disabled people - it has steps etc, but no-where in the description does it say it is, and you failed to enquire about that prior to your visit. I'm sorry that 'places closed early' - this is outside my control, and this IS rural west Wales. I'd like to add that this is a NO-SMOKING property, and we were disappointed that you failed to observe this rule. Regards, Fiona Perkins

Dear Louise, Thank you for your positive and honest review of our bungalow, and I am very glad that you enjoyed your stay there. Yes, it is certainly a much-loved and well used holiday home as stated in the details. We will try and sort the bricks in the fireplace, but regarding the windows and dining room floor, these are much bigger/more expensive projects and we can only undertake them as funds become available - [we have just spent an eye-watering amount re-roofing the property!] We recognise that it is not perfect, and it is priced accordingly [a weeks rent for a very smart bungalow along the road is much much more.] The property and surrounding area are special and we are glad that you were obviously able to appreciate that and have a good holiday.
