Du og dine kære vil være omkring en halv kilometer fra byen Christina Lake, et charmerende samfund på den sydlige bred af søen med samme navn. Nyd varmt vand og blødt sand i parken, eller besøg lokale steder som Portly Penguin Pizza.

Tilbage derhjemme kan du beundre udsigten over søen fra den private dock, eller starte med en god bog, mens du slapper af på den private strand. Bagefter tilbyder stuen endnu mere udsigt over den private balkon og polstrede møbler til at nyde den gratis WiFi og dvd'er på fladskærms-tv. Når du er klar til middag, er køkkenet i hjertet af huset udstyret med alle de apparater, du har brug for.

Wonderful, gorgeous location!

September is a fantastic, quiet time to visit Christina Lake and spend some time at the 'Aussie Summer' home. The lake and weather were beautiful and the home had all the amenities you need!

Another lovely stay at Aussie Summer

We stayed in early September 2024. Weather was pleasant and lake was warm. Cabin was very clean and although the fixtures are older (in keeping with the rustic feel to the cabin) everything is useable. Always enjoy staying here. The downhill mountain bike trails up the mountain behind the cabin are epic but not for the faint hearted. Shuttling is required.

Loved it!

Lake was warm, clear and beautiful. House was nice, everything we needed. Housekeeping missed the stickyness of kitchen cupboard doors but otherwise clean and organized. Well stocked with towels dishes etc. No air conditioning but once we found the fan it was ok. We survived a couple of the hottest days experienced there, record high heat wave. House was shaded most of the day which we really liked. Dock snd lake were full sun. Which was nice for swiming.

Fantastic location… but it needs some work

Loved the location..right on the water. West side of the lake is where you want to be! Even after prior concerns on this website on the state of the stairs going down to the beach, a portion remain in disrepair. The inside is dated, some furniture is clean but stained. Be aware that 2 of the bedrooms are accessed by separate doors down below…not as suitable for families with small children. No laundry on-site. Beds were comfortable. Linen clean. You just can’t beat the views however!!

Beautiful cottage by the lake

This property was amazing. The photos of the interior don’t do it justice. It was impeccably clean and much larger than the photos. The dock and water were perfect. We would definitely come back! Unfortunately there was SO many yellow jackets on the property, so we had to go and buy traps to use the exterior deck. Also the umbrella was at the bottom of the lake when we got there. After retrieving the umbrella and a few days, we realized why: the base for the umbrella does not fit the umbrella itself, and the wind would pick it up. I would recommend that the homeowners fix this.

Great Location but a Few Issues with the House

The house is beautifully situated on the lake, but we did have a few complaints. The listing should really make perfectly clear that two of the bedrooms are accessible only outside (not connected to the rest of the house). So those two bedrooms do not have any access to the bathroom without going outside and then into the main house. Not an ideal set-up. Our other complaint has to do with cleanliness. There were many cobwebs inside the house, and we found lots of evidence of rodents inside the house (droppings in the kitchen and bathroom). We also could hear rodent activity in the house at night. This was a bit concerning for us!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We vacationed with another family of 3 (6 total) For 5 days at Aussie Summer. The location and accommodation were fabulous. There were enough beds for everyone and the cabin had most of the amenities we required. The one thing that took us by surprise is there was no laundry facility. In the description when we booked they said there was laundry soap included. Our assumption was that there was a washer and dryer. Five days isn't too bad without laundry but you are only given 1 towel per person and it would be nice to shower with a clean towel part way through your stay. We would have brought our own had we known. Other than that, we had a fantastic time here. The beds were comfortable and dock is perfect for enjoying the sun or mooring a boat. We also loved that we could bring our dogs. The dog towel and dishes were a nice touch. We would stay here again.

Super cosy lake cabin

We spent a weekend in the early fall at this cabin with friends, the home is super cosy considering it wasn’t midsummer and really hot outside. The bedrooms downstairs are actually a really fun addition and the view waking up to the lake is unbeatable!

Somewhat disappointing

We have rented this cottage before so had an idea of what we were getting in to regarding the bedrooms. Suffice to say that if one rents this place you need to be aware that two of the bedrooms are downstairs, you need a key to get into each of them and they have no direct connection with the only bathroom or kitchen or to each other. Otherwise the two bedrooms on the main were fine as it was just the two of us. We had read the current reviews and noted that it had been renovated so even though it was excessively expensive we wanted to be at the lake and decided to try. The lake is a fantastic place, the water if warm and the fishing was great. This is a busy lake at times, with a tonne of boats roaring about so if you are looking for a quite place to go this may not be the place for you. Here are all the problems with this cottage. -too expensive for what you are getting - it was infested with ants. According to the property manager this is a problem on the lake, but when we talked to the neighbours they didn't seem to have any. - the important areas were clean, bedroom etc but under the sink etc was not. I understand from manager that due to Covid they are short staffed, so it was clean enough. - Furniture in the dining room and outside was extremely dirty. This is not a function of the cleaning so much as the poor choice of dining room furniture for a cottage, tan velvet.... -steps leading down the side are quite dangerous with missing pieces, easy to fall. - bbq fire... the bbq that was there had not been cleaned and had a faulty supply tube (we were told afterwards) This caused a huge fire in the bbq and even when gas was shut off it continued to rage due to huge amount of grease built up. This was an extremely dangerous situation and could have been worse as the bbq at that time was located on the deck under a tree. Fortunately we did have the provided fire extinguisher and were able to put out the blaze in time. The manager did provide us with a new bbq a day after and it is located in a new location off the deck. So this is resolved but does not mitigate potential disaster, particularly in a tinder dry fire season. - deck railing is dangerous, not installed properly, rickety railing. - dvd player etc not functional or w/o info - no light in living room to read or play games in evening -no door bug screen - all things considered this is not really worth the price. Good- Property manager, dock, comfy bed, towels etc

Great location

Everyone had a great time even though weather wasn’t great everyday. I will list the pros and cons as every property has them and I feel it is only fair to do so..... Pros- - Location, location, location. Hard to beat renting a cabin on the water of a gorgeous lake. The dock was great with ample space - wonderful view of the lake - outdoor fireplace/pit was a nice touch - the 4 bedrooms allowed for privacy and personal space - Christina lake is hard to beat - kitchen was adequately equipped - as stated in other reviews, the downstairs two bedrooms are not directly connected to the rest of the house which we ended up enjoying as the kids felt they had some more privacy but we do not have any really young kids. Might be an issue if kids are younger Cons - - no laundry facilities at the cabin and none in the hamlet of Christina lake - cabin of 4 bedrooms only has 1 bathroom - cabin could use a good cleaning but overall it was fine. Itwould be harder to keep an older cabin clean -

Amazing outdoor space

This was the perfect little getaway from my little family. The house itself was a great size, however the floors were very dirty upon arrival. The master bed was extremely comfortable and the bedding clean. The outdoor space at this house was awesome and the fire pit was already ready to go our first night. I would recommend this rental to others especially if you plan to spend most of your time outdoors.

beautiful spot on the west side of the lake. very nice renovation on the main level. Beware - the "private entrances" are inaccessible from inside the property. you have to go outside and down the stairs to access. with two small children it made the extra bedrooms obsolete. no bathrooms or running water for these bedrooms. no washer and dryer. closest laundry facility is in grand forks and isn't open for very long during the day. these two things should be clearer on the listing. that said, would recommend the property as long as you don't have a young family
