Fisherman's paradise: Hat Creek, Pit River, Fall River, Big Lake, Baum Lake, Crystal Lake, Lake Britton. Private home sits on bluff over Hat Creek with steps from deck to water's edge. Two bedrooms include 4 twin beds, den with sofa sleeper and sun room with futon. Outdoor recreation area for summer or winter. Enjoy wildlife and landscape photography. One mile to the PCT trail. Waterfall at McArthur Burney Falls Park is breathtaking. Snowmobile parks, sledding, downhill/cross country skiing offered at Mt. Shasta an hour an half drive. Those with the exploring spirit visit the Subway Caves located in Old Station. Fall River Mills boasts a golf course with beautiful mountain vistas. Mt. Lassen 1 hour journey well worth the trip. Not recommended for young children. Bluff and river behind house. Only shows available in VRBO if renting 3 nights or more.

The Hat Creek house was so perfect! Our family enjoyed every aspect of our stay. I personally loved how perfect the location was. And how the house felt so inviting. We played scrabble while the boys fished the creek and enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning. We will absolutely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming, spacious home! It was clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The riverside location is fantastic - peaceful. The owners are great and quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Gorgeous place! It’s in a lovely, quiet area overlooking Hat Creek, so whether you’re an angler, a birder, or just a nature enthusiast, you’ll love it! The view of the stars and the Milky Way at night are amazing! The house was sparkling clean when we arrived and had absolutely everything that we needed for our stay. There are a lot of comfy places inside to relax and look out at the lovely view after a long day of exploring. The hosts were wonderful and gave us lots of tips on places to go and things to do in the area. We had a fabulous time and are already planning to come back. (The possibilities for snowshoeing have us excited!) Wonderful place and we’re looking forward to returning! Thanks!!

A wonderful stay at a fantastic house! The photos in the listing don't do it justice! The house and property are larger than you think. Hat creek seen from the backyard is also huge and so pleasant—beautiful geese gathering in the water, hawks flying overhead. I spent plenty of time on the back deck watching the wildlife and relaxing while the outdoor grill was doing it's thing. The interior of the house has a vintage 70s flair on the inside that is really special and harkens back to a simpler time, and yet the house is also fully equipped with the modern amenities we can't live without, like wifi, a tv with Roku access (airplay, etc), and updated AC. I stayed here with a few friends in July and it was just what we needed. The house is also fairly close to Lake Britton which was a great place to day trip to picnic and swim. Thank you to our really lovely hosts for their clear communication, easy checkin and checkout instructions, for being friendly, and for taking care of us and giving us some tips too for where to explore during our stay. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and enjoy the company of their friends and family.
