For your convenience, the nearest public beach accesses are Bramble Grove, 1 mile west, and Eastern Lake, 1 mile east.**

Welcome to your stunning 30A beach home! Double Down features 4 bedrooms, 4 baths and sleeps up to 10 guests comfortably. This gorgeous home is a converted duplex with two 2BR/2BA units. A living room door allows easy access between each unit. The main level is up a flight of stairs and features both living areas and kitchens. The second level has two king master bedrooms, each with balcony access, and two guest rooms, each with a twin over full bunk plus twin trundle. All bedrooms and both living rooms have large flat screen TVs! You don’t want to miss this incredible vacation spot just off Hwy 30A. Come have the time of your life at Double Down!

Seaside is a fantastic destination, most widely known for being featured in the Truman Show with Jim Carrey. Its incredible architecture has helped to make it famous but also its faithful replication of the kind of seaside town that used to be common up and down the coast. Seaside has its own Farmer's Market, post office, Repertory Theater and neighborhood school. It boasts unique shopping, fantastic cuisine and the incredible architecture that makes Seaside famous. There are activities for everyone; kayak rentals, bike rentals, paragliding, fishing, golfing, hiking, swimming, tennis -- you'll find it all right here.

The snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Sea Turtle Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 783 feet out from the Grayton Beach State Park access, it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Sea Turtle Reef is at a depth of 12-19 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Perfect Seagrove House

Had a wonderful 3-day stay at this home - super easy access to a beautiful stretch of beach, the house was clean and well equipped for prepping simple meals, the private pool in the back was clean and great for relaxing, and the bikes were a bonus for getting around. Would definitely recommend this property and consider it again in the future!

Just what we needed!

We wanted a warmer and safe space to work and learn for the month of February and Double Down was perfect for our family! There was plenty of space for our family of 5 to spread out during the day and the Internet held up during multiple zoom meetings and lessons. The pool was a great size and temperature, even during the cold days for the kids to play inside. The beach was just a few blocks away and the grocery store was a short drive. We built a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed the stars one night. The kitchens had plenty of cookware and we used the grill often for our meals in. The beds were cozy and there were plenty of towels to use. We miss it already and can't wait to visit again!

Peaceful Place

Seagrove Beach Doubledown exceeded our expectations. While the photos were lovely, we weren't sure it would be as charming in real life...but it was. The location was extremely walkable to the beach and the pool was a great size for the four children who played in it when the weather wasn't ideal at the beach. We mostly enjoyed quiet time but did venture out to the Hub and Seaside. We enjoyed the shopping but it reinforced that preferred the lower density of the Seagrove neighborhood. We shared the house with another family and found the "two sides" very convenient for some privacy yet the space still lent it self to a common, shared experience. I could see us renting this property again for another Spring Break because it suited our families well.

Memorial Day Weekend Trip

House was great. Plenty of room (4 bedrooms with 2 pullout couches). House was very clean upon arrival. Two issues: Communication was not good through the VRBO app. As soon as I called, response and action were prompt. Just be sure to call and you won’t have any issues. Upon arrival, the pool was dirty and needed to be cleaned. Did not use the first day because of this and had to let the cleaning chemicals settle. Overall: I would recommend this house to stay in. The interior is great, value is amazing, and the location to the beach is phenomenal.

DISAPPOINTING

Left side of home (when looking at from street) was hot and smelt like mildew. We slept hot each night. The upstairs bathroom has mildew on walls and ceiling. There is NO beach view. Grill was nasty. The photographer did a great job of taking pics of the house only to be disappointed when walking in. Pool needs work. We left a day early and will never stary at this house again or recommend.

Needs a little TLC

This was our 10th year to Seaside and we’ve never had any issues before. This home was a great location but the house needs a lot of work. Mold on the ceiling in one of the master bathrooms, clogged sink in the half bath, broken towel holders, minimal TV channels and the pool needed a lot work. We had to clean it when we got there, there were weeds everywhere and loose pool tiles. We did love that it was close to the beach but the house was not what we were expecting.

Great for two families!

We stayed at Double Down on a recent spring break vacation. We split the house with another family. Each side had two parents and two adult children. It is a great place to give families some privacy but also share time together on the porches and backyard. We loved the dual kitchens, two full baths on both sides and the shared porches. We also enjoyed the pool in the backyard on a day the beach had double-red flags. One evening, we also had a fire at the firepit. The location is excellent! There are two public beach accesses from either end of the street. It is a 1-mile easy walk to Seaside city center. Easy area to bike around and short drive to stores. The only thing I would suggest is some deep cleaning of couch pillows and deck cushions. The pool deck could also use a good pressure wash and mud-jacking. I also wish there was a washer/dryer on both sides as it was hard to share this and not "disturb" our house mates, but this was a minor inconvenience and we worked it out. Also, the property managers were very responsive. We couldn't find a broom and didn't have any fry pans. We got both items within a few hours of our request. All of the questions I asked prior to our stay were responded to quickly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay! It was great for our two families.

Great house, especially for two small families.

We stayed at Double Down for Spring Break this year. It wasa our first visit to this area. This area is crazy with teens during Spring Break, but our teens had an awesome time! The house is great for 2 families, because there are two kitchens and two dining/den areas. The layout was great and the kitchen was stocked decently with pots/pans/utensils. There wasn't a single spice in the kitchen, so we had to run to the grocery for salt and pepper, oil, etc. The pool was beautiful and we asked to have it heated. Apparently, you need to ask a week in advance for this and we were unaware of that. The reason being is that it takes many days to heat the pool with a very small heater. Even though the pool heater was turned on the day before we arrived, it never warmed for us during our 4 day stay. We did get one day of rain which probably set it back also. My one gripe is that the condo was not cleaned thoroughly. It was clean on first inspection, but a deeper look revealed items left behind from previous guests (undies under dresser, a shoe under bathroom sink and a really disturbing medical apparatus left under a bed). The unit really needs a deep cleaning. We would have been happy to tidy up during our stay but there was not a single broom, dust pan, or even a backup dish cloth available. Overall, we loved the area, had a great spring break, and the house worked out nicely for our family of 4.

As mentioned in the rental agreement, housekeeping provides a limited amount (starters) of such products as toilet paper, trash bags, dish detergent, and paper towels. **** DO NOT STAY HERE****

Horrible stay.... First let me start off by saying we have rented homes from St. George Island all the way to Pensacola Beach and by far this was our worst experience. 1. We arrived at 3:30 on Saturday June 26th. Check in is at 4:00 but we were told we would get the door code at 3:30. we never got the door code. We had to contact the Real Joy Vacations for them to email us the code. 2. The Pool was GREEN from algae. We were told that it had been like this for a couple of weeks from a storm that had came through. A COUPLE OF WEEKS?? Why didn't someone inform us before to let us know that the pool would not be useable? As a family on vacation we love the pool. We called every day that we were there to try and get the pool fixed. Several houses around us had pools and they were not GREEN. We paid over 6000.00 to have a pool and be by the beach. We wouldn't have paid that much if we didn't need a pool. We even left a day early because we could never get anyone to fix it. 3. Kitchen is not stocked... didn't even have a broom!!!! 4. WiFi is terrible at least one TV would go out each day? 5. Drainage in the whole left side of house was backed up. When you took a shower you were also taken a bath because it wouldn't drain. If someone took a shower/Bath before you, you had to wait at least 3 hours for the tub to drain or you were standing in their dirty water!!!!! 6. So the description of the house says it is 200yds from beach. Well that may be true but what it doesn't say is once you reach the stairs to the beach you have 67... yes 67 stairs to go down to get the the beach!!!! They seemed to leave that little tidbet out!!!! 7. We had random people parking in front of the house, Dump trucks, golf carts, tractors, trucks would get stuck in the sand... so if you are wanting quiet and to relax this is NOT the house. 8. Beds were terrible/Pillows felt like laying your head on bricks. The sheets were so hot and then you couldn't move in them they would stick to you..... 9. The rental company "Real Joy Vacations" would not communicate with us. Johnathan the manager said he would call us back after he spoke to the owners but of course he never called back. MY FAMILY WILL NEVER STAY AT ANY HOUSE THAT Real Joy Vacations is the rental company!!!!!!!! Please email me if you have any questions @ snodgrasslj@yahoo.com. I don't want anyone to waste there money on this house.

We hope you enjoyed the layout and decor of this rental. Please accept our sincerest apology for any inconvenience or frustration you experienced during your stay. Had we been made aware of the issues regarding the wireless Internet, satellite service, door codes, draining issues, and the kitchen during your stay, we would have been more than happy to try and remedy these. We apologize for the door codes not being sent sooner. Sometimes door codes for check-in at 4:30 p.m. fail to send due to a bad signal, which was possible due to it storming. The pool was green from algae. Guest services and the owner were both aware of this situation and your stay was heavily discounted because the pool was unable to be used. We were waiting on a pool filter and the pool company was out daily, but they were only able to do so much due to the storms. When guest services was informed by you on the 26th and upon inspection, the pool pump was working and the pool company was working to get the levels back to normal in-between storms. Two property managers and a customer service representative went out numerous times to check on this issue and relay any progress that was able to be made due to the on-going storms. On the 27th, the pool was still green and needed to be shocked again, with rain causing this issue due to the pool being at the bottom of a hill. Due to the jets not working after being shocked again and the pool being put on recycle in order to circulate the water, the owner approved a 10% refund of your rental cost and a gift card was provided for this inconvenience. Both sides of this property were stocked prior to your arrival. During this time a broom was used, which is kept in the left side laundry closet in the downstairs bathroom. We would have been more than happy to try and come out and troubleshoot the Wi-Fi and satellite television. The television going out was likely due to the fact that this rental has DirecTV, which tends to go out when there is bad weather. Someone was tasked to go and make sure that every sink and tub in this house is draining properly. If we had known that someone unapproved was parking in the driveway, we would have had the vehicle(s) towed. It was confirmed that no work was done nearby that week due to storms. Any available parking in this area to go to the beach is at a premium. As pictures online show, the steps from this two-story rental are needed to access the beach in order to protect the dunes. Vrbo and real joy vacation rentals are both a nightmare. Do not book with these companies. They do not provide services as pictured and or guaranteed in their adds. Run and take your business elsewhere!

Great location for Family

We loved the location in a quiet area of Seagrove and close to Seaside but not too close. The beach is just across street and within 3-5 minute walk. The home was very clean and updated. The pictures show the property well. The house is set up with 2 sides which allows for both family time and still allows you to have privacy and some quiet space. Each side has a well stocked kitchen with everything we needed. Overall the stay was very relaxing and we would definitely return.
