Great location could walk everywhere. Be aware of cobblestones they are slippery so wear appropriate footwear. Great restaurants on the same road. We felt the furnishings could do with an update and the balcony is as in pictures really small but great to be able to open up.

Awesome apartment

The apartment was just as described, very well kept and beautiful. Location was central to everywhere we wanted to visit. The wrap-around balcony provided great scenery.

Decent apartment but trouble with hot water and building code

The beds were super comfortable and the apartment was pretty modern. We just had some trouble accessing the apartment with a lack of a building code as well as a lack of hot water which they fixed asap otherwise we had a fantastic stay.

Great flat! Great location!

Loved the flat and it has everything! The location is directly in Chiado. We use VRBO all over the world and never have to go to the checkin office but did woth this ome. This was inconvenient in Lispbon. All else was grrat. the check-in

Amazing Location in Chiado!

A perfect apartment in a perfect location! Bright and airy and clean. Some issues with the washer dryer and we had to send our laundry out, but they reimbursed us for that. Great spot!

Beautiful, spacious apartment in fantastic location.

This is the second time we have stayed at this beautiful, spacious, bright corner apartment. The high ceilings and comfortable furnishings make it an ideal base for exploring Lisbon. There are great restaurants and cafes throughout the wonderful Chiado neighborhood. The metro station is just up the block and the 28 tram line is also very nearby. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Great location and beautiful apartment!

We loved our time at this property. The location was great, building beautiful and a nice amount of space. There were a few things that were a bit of a hindrance, but we still enjoyed our stay to the fullest. The showers door was missing, floors were not very clean and the dishwasher leaked. Other than those minor annoyances we fully enjoyed our stay!

perfect location

this location was perfect to access all that Lisbon had to offer, close to the train and center of town. the unit was bright, well taken care of and very comfortable. Note both bathrooms had water issues. the small bath had a leak under the sink and the large bath would have water run over the tub when using the shower.

Lovely apartment with great location

The best part about this place is the location. The second best is the sunlight poring in from the lovely doors and the spaciousness of the high ceilings. Three of us enjoyed 4 days in Lisboa. We did not use the kitchen. As others mentioned, there was water issues in the bathroom which apparently are slated to be fixed. The place was clean and minimal.

great place

clean, spacious, secure, well-located, and a lot of space for a family to lounge around. (truth be told, at times it almost felt too big.) beds were comfortable, and having a washer/dryer onsite was a bonus. there were a few things that were a little wonky (bidet wasn't hooked up in one bath; boiler failed and took the hot water with it, requiring maintenance to come out; hair dryer blew out first time we used it). but on all matters, mgmt were responsive. no place we've stayed in has been perfect. but maybe just recommend doing a checklist at move-in, to ensure no after-hours surprises.

Great spot with a few problems

Light, airy attractive apartment in a convenient and not-too-touristy location. Great bed, and very clean overall. Downsides were leaky showers -- one so bad that we used it only once because it flooded the bathroom, and the other with broken doors. Although the kitchen is stocked with pots and dishes and a pod coffee-maker, there are almost no basic supplies -- no salt, pepper, or oil or coffee pods, and no paper towels or laundry soap. Nevertheless, it was a good choice if you are willing to buy extra supplies, or do not plan to cook.

Excellent location and great corner apartment

We arrived at the apt to a broken lock on the front door. Property manager met us there to teach us the “trick” to open and lock the door. After he left we tried to lock the door and go to dinner. The door knob fell off. After multiple calls over 3 days, 3 maintenance visits lock still broken but functional. They knew lock was not working and checked us in, should have been fixed before we arrived. Also you can’t run the dishwasher and the a/c at the same time - the electricity goes off. Apt is great just needs better maintenance. Btw- VRBO was not helpful. Told me to call their special team. When I tried recording said at least 15 minute wait. I think the team should call me.

The location of the apartment was lovely, but parking was terrible, despite my repeated attempts to ask the property managers in advance about the parking situation. We were told street parking would be available, which it was but only in two hour increments. And they suggested a parking garage that charges 230 for 24 hours! Thankfully, we asked a local restaurant for other options and found another parking garage that was closer to 30 for 24 hours.It was also not ideal to have to pick up the key rather than having the apartment code or key available on site. Additionally, we were also told the wrong apartment number (and it’s not written on the keys) when we arrived at the property which caused some added stress and confusion after the parking debacle.The unit itself was architecturally beautiful and accurate to the photos, but the furniture looks tired and very impersonal/cold, not making it feel very welcoming. Perhaps the bigger deterrent was that it also smelled of mothballs. It could be just that it had been closed up for a while. It improved after running the minisplits and opening the doors for 24 hours. But being that we were only there two nights, it definitely made an impact on our stay.The location was wonderful. Very walkable and central without being in the height of the sounds of the square up the street.

This rental needs better management. The positives are the neighborhood is convenient and apartment is nicely laid out however the negatives far out weight the positives. I would not recommend this rental.Our check in was chaotic we were told to go straight to the unit and we would be supplied check in info, however this did not happen. I then hiked 1mile to the Joivy office because no one responded with accurate information to my online messages (they tried to charge me again) and no one answered the phone. Eventually the Joivy employee was able to give me info in person.Once in the unit we had zero hot water, after a long day of travel this was upsetting. The Joivy contact instructed me on how to reset the breaker- dangerous and unsuccessful. Later someone was sent, however one day later the hot water breaker blew out all of the power. So for the remainder of the 3 night stay we again had no hot water and no kitchen outlets, which included the refrigerator. I called the emergency number but no-one answered and there was no option to leave a message. I also sent emails from the auto bot responds hours later with an unhelpful prompt. I guess it was lucky that it was hot in Lisbon for my cold shower.The apartment is also poorly stocked with no dish soap, paper towels, and only one wine glass.I know there are better units, shame on VRBO for not checking this out better, And shame on Joivy for being a rental management company.

horrible customer service and NO HOT WATER in Apartment

Just before arriving, we were sent an email telling us we had to pick up the keys from their office.Not such a big deal if they offered transportation from the office to our apartment, but they did not, so we had to walk uphill with all our bags to our apartment after a long flight.When we arrived at the apartment, the sheets on our beds were stained, when the cleaning people arrived and changed the sheets, we asked for extra towels and were told no. I contacted management and was told that only one towel per guest was allowed.I offered to pay for extra towels, even though this apartment was quite expensive to rent but never received a response.The next day we discovered that we had no hot water.I contacted management again and was told to check the hot water heater but had no idea where it was or what I was supposed to check. After several more texts, they said they would send someone the next day. I had to follow up several times to finally get someone to show but he could not fix it and told us that they would have to speak to the manufacturer and would have an answer about fixing it in a day or two.It was only after I contacted VRBO and they intervened on my behalf that I finally got an offer from management to move us after not taking a hot shower for days.The problem was that the only unit they had only had one bathroom and single beds, so we refused. We went almost the entire stay without hot water and to this day still no offer of any compensation from management.

Lovely!

We loved the location, the apartment was lovely, the size was perfect and having to bedrooms and two bathrooms was ideal. There were just a few hiccups (washer/dryer broken, fuse box kept needing to be reset when we cooked, they gave us one key for 4 people, the front entry door locked us in unless someone could press the unlock button across the room, and the bathroom leaked) BUT, they responded to our every problem and fixed as many of them within hours. We appreciated they had some basic supplies for us in the kitchen and overall loved the place for our 4 nights. We had an later flight out and they also let us store 6 peoples bags while we enjoyed our last hours in Lisbon, so again, great company that’s running it! We will use them again!
