Jim and Clarke were ideal guests who really appreciated and enjoyed our beloved villa Frangipani. It was a real pleasure introducing them to our corner of the island, and we hope that one day we may meet again..

We are always happy to hear when guests enjoy what our villa offers - a lovely house built in traditional style with a grand view in a friendly neighbourhood. And safe too, as most of the neighbours are related to the owners of the villa. The roads are steep and winding, which can be challenging, especially for guests accustomed to driving on the right. Vigie Beach and the centre of Castries are only 1 mile away, and the bus stop to town is just a 2-minute walk away from our villa! I wasn't able to meet Linda and her party as I was in England, but my local manager and neighbours were impressed by the jolly and friendly attitude of this set of 70-plus-year-old set of guests who had a whale of a time.

Our managers have said that Jeff Meyers and his family were a pleasure to host. Dogs in the tropics generally live out of doors and tend to socialise in the cool of the night when they can be noisy, especially around full moon which coincided with Jeff's stay! Sorry about this but I am so glad that he enjoyed everything else, especially one of the most stunning holiday-home views on the island.

So happy to get such a delightful review for our beloved Frangipani. There are times when managing a holiday home across the Atlantic from where we live n London can be quite stressful. But when a guest truly appreciates and enjoys our very lovely villa, it is all worthwhile. Thank you Raphine.

I am so sorry we didn't meet. I am St Lucian, my husband English and we live in London, but since our retirement we spend our winters in St Lucia. I'm so glad you got on well with our manager and her two daughters. On hearing that you wished to spend an extra week in St Lucia you chose to stay at the villa instead of trying elsewhere. This gave me a tremendously good feeling, as here you are, putting such a huge smile on my face with your funny and absolutely great review! Enormous thanks and hoping to see you one day when again hopefully, you may be staying at our beloved Villa Frangipani.

It warms my heart when guests really enjoy the simple pleasures offered by my villa and by the lovely people who help to run it. It is so nice to be appreciated!

Honest and truthful about our beloved villa Frangipani, these guests make me happy that they had a good time staying there. Perhaps they had not noticed (or read our Newsletter) that there is a special area for drying clothes out of doors, which is situated on the level below the villa. You get to it via steps to the left of the building. But this is a very minor point. This nice family will be welcome to stay at the villa Frangipani at any time in the future.

Frangipani overlooks a large sloping garden with luxuriant vegetation providing habitat for an enormous variety of butterflies and birds. A few years ago a bird-spotting family from Norfolk sent us a long list - from the very tiny "bee" hummingbird to the large cattle egret - they had seen in our grounds. One season we had a pair of courting Tremblers in the outside shower - it did amuse us seeing them engage in a feverous quiver as they smooched and built their nest together! My Chris is a bit of a 'twitcher' himself and we keep guide-books with illustrations and identification to the birds of the West Indies on our book-shelf at the villa.

We are tremendously grateful for this lovely and truthful review! We honestly believe the villa Frangipani to be the most gorgeous and best value for money holiday home not only in St Lucia but throughout the other Caribbean islands too. These guests have got it absolutely right and they should be listened to regarding our pretty post-card views too! (Sorry about the locked garden shower Irrumate, Hidden must have forgotten to hand you the key. It was a delight having you stay at Frangipani. Please come again, and bring your friends or other family members when you do.)

What can I say? It always makes me happy when guests appreciate what my villa has to offer: simply a rambling, clean, unpretentious family home situated amongst other family homes in a friendly community, and the best value for money on the island!

Sometimes I so wish I could get to meet my guests, especially this charming family from Seattle. My husband and I live abroad and so my wonderful niece Beverly acts as my manager and hostess. We think that Bev’s got it all too – she’s attractive, bright, and one of the finest cooks on the planet! And whatever would we do without kind and thoughtful Paulie, our careful and cheerful driver always eager to show off the island’s magical delights? I was over the moon to hear that our visitors from Seattle were happy and secure amongst my lovely extended family neighbours, and we all hope that one day soon these nice people may return to our simply beautiful St Lucia and the folks who live on the Frangipani hill.

Jeremy was a lovely guest and a bit of a "one-off". He had stayed at a beach-side hotel in St Lucia some years ago, and now wanted a place where he would be among "real" St Lucians. Being a sleuth-like ex cop, he managed to track me down and found the telephone number for my London home (where I live for most of the year). He gently grilled me to make sure I was genuine, "as the villa seemed to be too good to be true, and at such a modest price too" he told me. He obviously enjoyed his stay. He became friends with our driver and even went with him to his church. He also got on well with my manager/neighbour and her daughters. It was really unlucky that the villa's intruder alarm system failed as soon as he moved in - it had been checked and seemed to be in good order two days before he arrived - but we were able to get it fixed immediately. It's even more unlucky that on his first night thieves broke into his rented vehicle without setting off the car's alarm. This is the first time such a thing has happened in 25 years! I'm puzzled about the TV as I pay for cable religiously every month. I aim to investigate this with my manager. I'm also surprised at the lack of pots and pans as normally there are plenty in the kitchen cupboard - Jeremy should really have raised this with my manager and she would have provided with what he needed straight away. I really dislike pitbulls myself, but the only ones that I am aware of in the neighbourhood belong to my manager's two young sons and are kept on a leash when not inside their home. I am grateful for Jeremy's blunt review and will do my best to resolve the issues he raises. Most of all I am very happy that despite his concerns he is so full of heartfelt praise for my beautiful and beloved villa Frangipani.

The villa Frangipani is just 1 mile (as the crow flies) from the centre of town where our annual carnival festival takes place. Previous guests have never complained about the distance into town, when bus fares are so cheap. Nevertheless, I have received a very good report regarding these guests from the manager of my villa in St Lucia. Jeff and his party were nice people, fun-loving, and they left the place in a tidy condition.

My husband and I live in London, UK, so we usually do not have physical connection with our guests. However, our Manager Julie says that Ms Goualou and her party told her that they loved our villa and the fabulous views overlooking the city. Julie also went on to say that she prepared dinner several times for this party of six which was thoroughly enjoyed by them all.
