Welcome to Country Pines Cottage! Our one level, open floor plan cottage is located on a quiet, private road in the beautiful countryside of Westby, WI. The cottage is close to many local attractions, hiking trails, trout fishing, Amish community, canoeing, and much more. Here you will find a peaceful setting to sip your morning coffee as you look over the hillside of hay fields and farm crops. If you are visiting in the Fall, touring the area’s colorful foliage is breathtaking. Close by you will find local apple orchards, wineries, and all that the Driftless Area has to offer.

This charming 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom cottage comfortably accommodates up to five guests. The kitchen is fully stocked and features brand-new appliances, making it easy to whip up your favorite meals. Step out onto the deck to enjoy a meal from the gas grill, or unwind around the outdoor fire pit—perfect for telling stories and roasting marshmallows under the stars (please bring your own firewood).

All bedding, towels, dish soap, and other essentials are provided for your stay. Surrounded by open farmland and wildlife like deer, pheasants, and rabbits, this peaceful retreat offers a perfect escape into nature. On clear nights, don’t forget to look up—shooting stars are a regular sight in the expansive night sky.

The farmhouse cottage is located in the country, yet close to everything you might want to experience. For the outdoorsy, we are close to Class 1 fishing streams, the famous Driftless area where hiking, ATV, horseback riding trails are abundant, and the Kickapoo river for canoeing. Are you a shopper? You can take in the Amish shops and visit local antique stores. The cottage is centrally located to all the attractions.

Ridge view retreat

We come annually to the eestby area to visit family and this is the perfect spot for our family of 4 to retreat to at noght or from the heat of the day. Close to amish treats and the kickapoo river. We had all the amenities we needed for a weekend stay.

We have stayed here before and love the place. I know I will be back again in the future.Meticulously clean and well decorated. Great location as it is close to downtown Westby and not far from Viroqua.Easy check-in and check-out.One of the best VRBOs I have stayed at.

Was nice and clean, owner stocked us up with extra towels to accommodate our stay! Even had the AC pre-set so it was cool during the heat wave when we arrived, We would come again.The only issue is that the loveseat can be sticky if sat on for long periods of time.

Country Getaway

Great Place in a Great Location!!

Second time staying at Jennifer & Betty’s home, can’t say enough about how great it is. Very clean, has everything you need and in a great location. It’s becoming our go to place in the Driftless Area.

I grew up near Westby Wi, and always loved living in the country. I currently live in Minneapolis, but travel back to Westby as often as I can to visit family. My parents live near the property and take great care of the cottage. We hope you enjoy Country Pines Cottage as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

My mom and I put together this vacation rental and many pieces of furniture in the rental are built by my dad. The 1000 square foot cottage is roomy and cozy. It has in floor heat to keep your toes warm on those chilly nights. The kitchen has top notch appliances and stocked with anything you need to prepare your own meal. Relax outside by the fire pit and enjoy the country evening. *Firewood is not included.

What makes this property unique

What makes this cottage unique is that at night you will see crystal clear stars while listening to the crickets. There is no roadside traffic as you take in the countryside sights and sounds. Being on a dead end road gives you privacy and quiet nights to relax. The property is across the driveway from the owners, however you will not be disturbed. But if you have questions, the owners can assist.
