All was good . Very nice. Just an overnight for a show at temple theater. It is only about a block from the theater. Communication was prompt. It is a first floor room, just know that there are five outdoor steps to get in.
Love this place, this was our second stay here, it is cute, comfy and right downtown. So close to the Driftless Cafe which is worth the stop in Veroqua all by itself. Bed is super and everything is as described and I have little doubt that we will stay here again. So easy to recommend.
Clean, comfortable, organized with everything we needed. AC is a little loud. Duck Egg Forest and Sidie Hollow Park provide fantastic hiking opportunities. The Driftless Cafe, Fortney Hotel Lounge, the Co-op and Main St shops rounded out our stay.
Parking was fine until the roofers asked me to move my car because they needed the space for a huge dumpster. Roofers? While someone is using your property? Really frustrated that the host apparently had NO IDEA that Wednesday would start with a lot of hammering and noise around 7am. They were throwing all manner of debris off the roof, a lot of it landing on the porch, making it a dangerous proposition to enter and exit the property. When notified, the host said he would "talk to them" and never communicated after that. I understand that they aren't going to stop for one tenant, but why not just block the date so that there aren't any problems? And....if you don't know when these things are going to happen--shame on you. Who owns this place anyway? If I had known this was the situation I would have arrived and departed a day earlier--but no notice was given. Really amateurish on the one hand, and not really communicating with me on the other. A real failure.
Another wonderful stay at this apartment. Very clean, very organized, and has everything you need. Right in the heart of Viroqua, close to everything. Josh is a great host, very attentive and very prompt with replies. Thanks again.
We traveled to Viroqua to have dinner at the Driftless Cafe (Which is very worth the trip) and needed somewhere to stay. This place was not only well with in walking distance to the restaurant but was super cute, warm and inviting as well. The bed was very comfy and the over all feel was homey and exactly what we needed. Will stay here again!
Convenient location; very close to the Historic Temple Theater. Restaurants, bars, and shops nearby, all walkable. And the Wonderstate coffee shop! The hosts provided EXCELLENT check-in instructions and included a helpful picture of the correct entrance and where to park - much appreciated since we were not familiar with the area. The unit was nice and clean, we would definitely stay here again!
Second time staying and it was even better than the first time. This is the place to stay if you enjoy cooking your own meals. But the town of Viroqua also offers plenty of options for food when you want to eat out. The apartment has plenty of room, yet has a cozy feel.
This apartment is very clean and has a cozy feel; the host was also very responsive and friendly. I cooked in the kitchen and it had all the utensils I needed, and it even had an electric kettle—most places don’t provide for tea drinkers like me! Be aware, though, that the apartment opens almost directly onto a street that large trucks sometimes drive by on, and that there is a back door into a business hallway which only locks with a handle lock (not a deadbolt). Overall this is a great spot in a nice town.
