Spacious apartment with wonderful terrace! We could walk to everything in old town Aix- market, museums, restaurants, shopping. Wonderful bakery just downstairs and delicious patisserie further down street. Also little grocery store for milk, yogurt and butter. Bigger grocery store just a few blocks away. The Tuesday-Thursday- Saturday market for more fresh food delicacies is just footsteps away! We loved our family's stay.

Family girls trip

Fantastic location with walkable access to anything you would need with markets, shopping, sites, and restaurants. The space was historic, yet modern features in kitchen and bathrooms. Enjoyed the large living and dining areas for our group ranging in age from 20 to 79. The outdoor space was lovely, although it wasn't quite ready for us as we were a bit early in the season, we were still able to relax outdoors on a few warm days.

Great apartment near markets

We have stayed in this apartment before and have already booked it again. So yes we love it. The open space, large kitchen island, and the patio are amazing. A great relaxing space near the markets and near great restaurants. Far enough away from the tourist laden areas down on Cours Mirabeau.

We stayed in this apartment for one month, and loved every minute of our stay. The location is excellent, in the historic part of town where most streets are pedestrian only and surrounded by historic buildings. The apartment has an open floor plan in the kitchen, dining room and living room area with high ceilings, large historic windows and cool stone arch segments from when it was a monastery built in the 1200s. The kitchen is well stocked and everything worked well. The small washing machine was perfect … next time we will pack a bit lighter. The three large bedrooms are also light filled with high ceilings. The master opens to the back terrace, as does the dining room. The owner, Laurent, was delightful and very responsive to any questions or small issues that arose. We will definitely be going back!

Best location in Aix

We have been renting thru VRBO/Homeaway for quite some time and this is one of the best we have experienced. Clean and updated. Perfect location for exploring the town, restaurants and market. We cooked a few times with local products and the kitchen was very well equipped. Would rent again when we come back.

Spacious and well located apartment with amazing terrace

This apartment has great layout and is very spacious. The furniture is good quality and comfortable. Kitchen is large and everything functions well. Bathrooms are modern. The terrace/patio faces the centre of the block and is shaded by trees. Very peaceful. The neighborhood is exceptional, with a boucherie and boulangerie close by, and the open air market for all else three days a week. And a Monop is a short walk. Pharmacie in Place Precheurs is also open when others are closed. The owner is friendly and easily available.

Great central place to stay

Property exceptional especially the terrace, you know you are in France. All the 3 small city buses go past near property, Market in square fantastic, near to supermarket.

Proximity and authenticity in old Aix-en-Provence

Well designed and updated apartment conveniently located in AIx. All the needed amenities with a nice back terrace. Restaurants, shops and boulangeries just steps away. Loved the access to the markets held on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday in Place Verdun. Freshest vegetables, spices, meats, seafood, etc. Very responsive property managers - Kim & Lea. Would highly recommend if looking for central location in AIx and access around Provence.

This absolutely beautiful, stylishly furnished apartment in the center of the old town is a gem. It had everything our group of 4 needed- lovely, comfortable bedrooms, & beds, a divine, deep tub and a large outdoor loggia surrounded by pots of olives & flowering rosemary. Lea' & Kim were very responsive to our many questions and could not have been nicer to deal with. We absolutely loved it ! Many thanks ladies .....

Amazing Apartment in a Quiet Part of the Historic Center

The location of the apartment was perfect (2-3 blocks from the epicenter of Aix). The apartment was spacious, full of light and had a huge terrace. One will not say "I wish it had this or that". The kitchen and baths were modern and spacious. A bakery is located three doors down which is one of the highest rated in the area (artisan bread, gluten free options, etc. - we went daily). Kim was extremely attentive. The internet went down one evening and within 10-minutes Kim replied to our text with detailed instructions regarding how to reset it. Easy fix. The offsite parking was a 5-minute walk away and very secure. We'll be back for certain. Thanks Kim!

A beautiful, spacious apartment and helpful hosts

We really enjoyed our 9 day stay in this spotless, spacious, tastefully decorated apartment. Minutes from the cours Mirabeau, the heart of the historic city center and a market, steps from 3 different boulangeries/pâtisseries (no less), this apartment on the first floor of an historic building is wonderfully located. We enjoyed the terrace for breakfast and our evening meals. Also, Kim and Lea were a pleasure to deal with. They showed a lot a patience and understanding with our planning modifications due to the strikes affecting train schedules that month. It was a wonderful vacation and we definitely will be back.

Perfect place to stay in Aix

This is in the heart of it all. Walking distance to everything....shops, cafes, bakeries, museums, etc. The best thing about this apartment is that it is the perfect blend of modern (updated kitchen and baths) with enough European charm so that you don’t forget that you are in Provence! Lea and Kim are easy to work with and give excellent response. This is the perfect place to stay!

What a great apartment! Even nicer than the photos

What a great apartment! Even nicer than the photos. Very centrally located in the old city and ideal for those who want to walk to have everything at your doorstep. Fully equipped in every way. Great kitchen. TV worked well and bonus built in Sonos system was excellent! Best part was probably the large outdoor patio complete with covered dining area. So green, private, quite and peaceful to relax in the sun outdoors yet be right in the city. Three bedrooms and bathrooms were separated from main living area by door that was great for us to put kids to bed and be able to stay up and enjoy the space while they slept/napped. We did not find the street noise loud at all. Heads up that if you drive, the apartment is in a zone that is car restricted so will need to plan loading/unloading with Lea and Kim to ensure you get temp access pass and parking arranged. Parking is 5 min walk from apartment. All of it was fine in the end - and as described in the posting...just take into account for arrival/departure. Lea and Kim were wonderful hosts. Very prompt and clear communicators and provided all the help we needed without any sort of intrusion. Very friendly and professional at the same time. Highly recommend and will definitely rent from them again when we are back. Five stars. Thanks Lea and Kim. See you again!

Very good

Mignet is an excellent property in many respects and got very close to a 5 star rating from us. The positives include: very spacious in all rooms, well-furnished particularly in the lounge, excellent appliances and kitchenware (crockery, glasses, cutlery etc), an excellent terrace that is quiet and receives sun for a long part of the day and is perfect for pre-dinner drinks of an evening, good quality wi-fi, very good sized TV screen that has an HDMI cable for internet connection to a PC (international programmes are poor), very good location in the old part of town in a restricted car entry area. The Aix City Apartments managers were really fantastic throughout and a pleasure to deal with at all stages (booking and dealing with a few problems in the rental) and I can definitely recommend them if looking for a holiday in Aix. However, there were a couple of negatives that tipped the balance to a 4 star rather than a 5 star review and these were: We thought that the security for the back of the property was very poor although this only faced an enclosed garden area. When we arrived one of the external rooms had no locking at all and could have been opened from outside by just turning the handle. The managers and owner responded quickly and fixed a small bolt to the inside of the door but the security still seemed less than we would have preferred. In other places we have stayed the shutters act as an appropriate security but this was not the case here. The parking (paid separately) that we were first allocated was very poor and not wide enough to park safely (given its restricted access in a very narrow street) without significant risk (in my view) of damage and a claim from the hire company. After one park (with owner) and exit I moved the car to the park and ride at the outskirts of town and decided to use this for the rest of the holiday. I told the managers about this and they allocated me another space that was much better. The park and ride is efficient and not that far out and there are public parks at around the same price as the ones offered by the managers – so one to check before booking. But overall a very, very good apartment and highly recommended
