Gite de Atelier, Alzonne

What an amazing property! The accommodation and facilities were 5star, private and comfortable and the owners were so helpful and knowledgeable of the area. We are definitely planning to come back!

Perfect stay in gite with excellent facilities

The gite was in a lovely quiet rural position, very clean and beautifully furnished. Well positioned for discovering the area. The swimming pool was excellent with different seating areas in the sun and shade. Ann and Frederick were very welcoming and attentive hosts. A perfect place to stay.

Quiet, tasteful and relaxing environment

We had a fantastic week with 4 adults and a dog. Anne and Frederic made us extremely welcome. The pool was marvelous with perfect poolside furniture. The gîte has been beautifully and tastefully restored. Lots to do and places to visit. We would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful week in Alzonne. The gite is beautifully and practically furnished. Everything you need is available and the accommodation has a beautiful, cosy and tasteful appearance. A lovely place

We are a family of 4 and we had a great time at this gite. The setting is superb and the gite was clean and spacious. The pool is brilliant (the best we have seen). The hosts were very friendly and helpful. There is a small village nearby with 2 bakers and a very small shop. If you want cafes you will need to travel to neighbouring villages. We were sorry to leave after 2 weeks as we enjoyed our stay so much.

A little be of heaven

Had a wonderful week. The Gite was perfect in everyway. Both Anne and Fredrick where perfect hosts and between us we managed to have a few good conversations. Anne your English is very good. They have a fantastic dog who kept us fit!!!! The Gite had everything you need and more. The area is ideal to get out and about. Loved the well kept pool. Thank you.

Idyllic Villa and Fabulous Hosts!

It isn't often that a villa surpasses it's photos and write up online. My husband and I were looking for a quiet hideaway with a private pool in a nice central location for exploring the region and we couldn't have asked for more. Our hosts Frederic, Anne and the family were so welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived up to the second we left and even invited us for a home cooked meal on our last evening because they enjoy hosting their guests so much. The property was clean and well equipped and was lovely and quiet. A home away from home we couldn't have asked for more and hope to return. Thank you Anne and Frederic!

One of the best holiday properties we have stayed in.

We booked the property so we as a family could celebrate Richard's forthcoming 80th birthday. It did not disappoint, the house was charming and the heated pool wonderful. Frederick kept the pool in immaculate condition. Anne was very helpful - keen that everything was always OK. We would not hesitate in recommending it. The village of Alzonne has a supermarket and a wonderful butcher, both open on Sunday mornings - very near to do the shopping. We had a great holiday, despite some poor weather, and were very sorry to leave but hopefully will be back some time. We do miss playing ball with the family dog - keeps you fit!!

Excellent - Highly Recommended

From the initial enquiry, communication with the owners was excellent. Anne and Frédéric are excellent hosts, very helpful without being intrusive. The accommodation cannot be faulted. Clean, very well equipped and very spacious. Small but well stocked supermarket within 5 minutes. Larger Carrefour and E Leclerc hypermarkets within 20 minutes. Pleasant 3 mile walk through vineyards and around a lake straight from the Gite with more demanding and walks and hikes within driving distance. Carcassonne easy 20 minute drive from gite. About a hours straightforward drive from Toulouse Airport. We will stay again in the future.

Fantasic house in peaceful location

We recently had the most wonderful stay in this beautiful house. I would highly recommend it. The house is in a very convenient location within walking distance of the nearby village. It is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday in peaceful surroundings. The gardens and heated salt water pool are fantastic!!...such care and attention is put to maintaining them to a very high standard. There is loads of room for children to run around and the owners dog provided hours of entertainment for my three boys. Anne and Frederic were so helpful and kind and it was great to have them on site to offer recommendations of places to go and things to do. They have done a fantastic job restoring this house to a very high standard. One of the best we have stayed in. We were all very sad to leave...but look forward to returning next year.

Perfect property for our July holiday

We stayed for 2 weeks in July at this property and it was perfect for us. The rooms were tastefully decorated, the villa was well equipped, the pool was lovely and the owners (and their friendly dog) were very welcoming and helpful. There was a BBQ and an outdoor seating area which we used a lot. We flew in to Carcassonne airport and it was only 15 minutes drive to the house, which was ideal. The medieval city of Carcassonne was stunning and the Pyrenees were an easy drive from the property. Montolieu, about 10 minutes drive, was a pretty village with some good restaurants. The owners also gave us some good suggestions for places to eat. The weather was really hot, in the mid 30's on some days, so we used the pool and sunbeds quite a lot. However, the high temperatures meant that it was hot in the bedrooms at night. My husband found some pretty running routes from the villa which took him around the surrounding countryside. Overall, we loved our stay here and would highly recommend this property.

Perfect 'get away from it all' retreat.

A fabulous property - very clean, very comfortable and well equipped. We were delighted to find that the property was exactly as anticipated from the pictures. We felt relaxed and at home instantly ! The pool was very much appreciated even in October ! In the summer you need go no further, unless you want to. Anne and Frederick are perfect hosts - there when you need them to answer a question or give a recommendation but totally unobtrusive otherwise. The location is ideally placed for exploring the region; both Toulouse and Narbonne are within easy driving distance. The Intermarchè in Alzonne has pretty much all you need and the Charcuterie next door to it is a must. In addition to every type of meat imaginable there are fruit, veg and (home made ?) dishes like ratatouille and cassoulet to take away as well as cheeses and locally made ice cream. Carcassone itself is only a short distance away and the property is easibly and quickly accessible from the airport. We very, very much hope to be able to return in the future as it's such a perfect place to chill out while at the same time being close to everything you might hope for in terms of entertainment or sightseeing. Even Canelle the resident dog is a delight; very tame and playful.

Nous avons passer un séjour très agréable , trop court pour explorer la région, une second séjour sera nécessaire.Les propriétaires sont super sympa , ils nous ont fournis de très bon conseil.L'habitation est superbe et complexe avec de la recherche dans la décoration.Piscine intérieure au top.Un endroit discret et déconnecté du monde effréné de la vie moderne.Un grand merci à nos Hôtes , nous espérons revenir! Nous avons passés un excellent séjour chez Anne et Frédéric.Nos hotes sont chaleureux et conviviaux,à notre écoute et de bons conseils.Le loft est magnifique,décoré avec gout,raffinement et élègance.Rien ne manque.Tout est bien pensé.On sy sent bien.C'est encore plus joli que sur les photos.L'espace aquatique est cosy bien chauffé .Nous en avons bien profité.Tout est parfait.Nous reviendrons.Merci

Séjour exceptionnel

Le gîte de l’atelier est parfait. Une situation idéale pour visiter la région et bénéficier d’un calme total. Le logement dispose d’équipements haut de gamme pour notre confort, il n’y manque rien. La literie est vraiment confortable. L’accueil d’Anne & Frédéric est chaleureux et ils sont toujours de bon conseil. La piscine est vraiment agréable. À recommander sans réserve, nous y retournerons.
