Easy check in, cute little place and worked out great. Outside back area could use some tlc, and was a little warm up in the loft/ sleeping area at night. But overall a good location and was nice. 3.5/5

The place was very quaint and cozy. It was just outside of the full tourist chaos, but close enough to walk to anywhere we needed to go. The cottage was spacious and welcoming. The back patio was nice, but did need a little cleaning up, very full of leaves welcoming the unwanted mosquitos. The kitchen was just enough for us to cook a meal when we didn’t want to go out, but would recommend having tongs as utensils. We had no problems with lighting in the house, which we had read from previous reviews as an issue. We would definitely choose this place to stay again.

The property was just the right size for my husband and I and our dogs. The street parking was great. Make sure you read the signs as they do street cleaning and if you are parked on that side of the street, you will get a ticket. The location was great; we were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go.

Great rental in a great neighborhood

This rental is in Savannah’s historic district with beautiful scenery and easy access to lots of restaurants, shops, nightlife. Also very close to the riverfront. So much to do and see in a smaller radius, which was great if you like to walk.

We enjoyed the place, though it has many quirks and required adjustments. Only two matter: 1. I'm less than 6' tall, but the bedroom ceiling makes it impossible to stand up straight next to the bed on one side. I hit my head several times on the ceiling, getting in an out of bed.2. The stairs to the bedroom are slightly steeper and narrower than average, and they are painted dark brown. I mistook the last step before the landing for the landing itself, in the middle of the night, and fell. Fortunately, I'm in good shape and caught myself.

Thank you for staying at Lucky Savannah and for the four‑star review. We’re sorry about the low ceiling by the bed and the stair issues you experienced — safety is a top priority for us. We’ll assess options to improve head clearance at the bedside (relocating/adjusting the bed or adding protective padding) and will make the stairs safer by adding brighter lighting, contrasting step edging, non‑slip treads, and re‑evaluating the handrail and step visibility. We appreciate you calling these issues out and will move on them right away. Thanks again for the feedback — we hope to host you again. - The Lucky Savannah Team

I am giving you my honest assessment. Overall the place was comfortable and had everything we needed. A few things could have been better. Bedroom and bathroom were not on the same level making nighttime trips to the bathroom risky as there are 10 stairs down, which are painted black so that missing the last step was something both of us did. When the stove was turned on the smell of gas was strong, so we didn't use the stove. The bedroom was quite warm compared to the lower floor and the slipping roof was a bit too low over the bed. The mattress was quiet with and it was uncomfortable sleeping in the divot. The back yard was quaint, but there were 3 large planters with standing water and mosquitos. They should be removed or properly planted to prevent standing water. Location was excellent, making evening walks in the area very pleasant.
