Excellent location. We were able to walk to anywhere we wanted to go. Loved having off street dedicated parking. Beautiful area. Property managers were very responsive and helpful.

Leaks

We checked in to Forsyth Bird Baldwin and the living room had several bad leaks from the ceiling. The couch was wet, the area rug was saoked, the coffee table wet and hard wood floor was puddled. The mattress in the bed had a big blood stain. It was so gross. I let Southern Belle rental company know and they couldnt move us to another location till the next day. They would not reimburse us for that night. They moved us to a better location and paid the difference but not for parking. We went on a budget just like everyone else and wanted a washer and dryer in our unit and free parking. The 1st place we had to move from advertised washer and dryer but did not have one. We had unit 5 at Forsyth Bird Baldwin. Dont stay there!!!! They knew about this issue as the guest in the unit beside unit 5 had been there 2 days before and and seen maintenance in unit 5, 2 days before for this same issue. They sent an email the day of my travel to tell us but I could not and did not look for an email due to driving. I looked after they said I should have gotten an email and I never received it anyway. They should have called me. They should have had another property ready for us. We should not of had to stay in that place with those bad leaks. We were afraid of electrocution because of the water leaking around the recessed lighting as well as the cracks in the ceiling and you could see stains from previous leaks. Horrible experience and ruined my 1st 2 days of my 4 day vacation, drove 14 hr

Forsythe Suite

Wonderful location within easy walking distance of theaters, restaurants, trolley and bus stops. In fact, we never used the car at all until it was time to leave! All codes/locks were clear and worked easily. No noticeable noise from other guests but street noise is loud and constant with traffic and street sweeping. We used earplugs and rain-sounds app to sleep. No curtains, only shutters, so eye masks may be needed for some. The noise is a tradeoff for a central location, I suppose, and we dealt with it. Rooms were very clean. There was NO washer/dryer in the suite at the time of our stay. The refrigerator is a tiny dorm-style one, so make note if you plan to eat a lot of meals in. Shower was large and water was hot/strong enough. There was a distinct lack of check-out directions, outside of posted notices regarding setting the thermostat. I took out the trash and started the dishwasher as we left, but worried we'd get dinged for not stripping beds etc. I'd rate 5 stars if it weren't for the trouble sleeping, but obviously that's out of the host's control. Thanks for a wonderful week in Savannah! Will be back.

Great location in historic neighborhood

If you want the nostalgia of southern charm, this is the place. The location is close enough to MLK and the River area that it is very walkable. The apartment was very spacious, and tastefully decorated with local art and antiques. Walking up 3 flights of stairs was a bit of a challenge for our age, but we did it! Having a designated free parking space was appreciated. There are nice little cafes nearby on Liberty. Many sites on the HO/HO tour bus are within walking distance.I'd recommend this location to most people. rattling

Great location, beautiful room

Great location, however, if you're not used to street noise, bring a white noise machine. Listing said bathtub but there isn't one. I'm a short person (5' 3") and have bad knees. The bed is quite tall (came to my navel) and a bit hard to get into. A step stool might be helpful. Overall loved our trip our accomodations and the people!

1st time to Savannah

We loved the location. Many coffee shops and restaurants within a short walk. Forsyth Park nice and close to property as well. We were able to rest very comfortably here. The management team assisted us promptly when someone had parked in our spot one evening. They responded immediately. I would encourage the owners to improve/upgrade the window shutters, many of which do not work well and dont close properly. Also adding more hooks and another towel bar in the bathroom would be great addition. Several lights in the property did not function or were flashing and need replacement. Having a box of kleenex would also be a nice addition to the bathroom amenities. None of these things prevented us from rating this property high on the list. Many of these things would be expected as normal maintenenance items and should be addressed. Had a great time in Savannah and would definitely recommend this property.

We were able to walk to all our desired locations an especially enjoyed a bike tour. The street was a bit noisy, but we were warned and the location trump that. Thanks!

Convenient Location

The property looks exactly as the pictures show, it has large rooms and is nicely decorated. The location is convenient to everything downtown and easy to walk everywhere, however the downside to that convenience is the noise. The property is on a busy street and the traffic noise along with the people’s conversations that walk by can become a bit much if you are not used to city noises, we did leave a day early due to being so tired from not getting much sleep.

Great stay at Bird Baldwin

Property was lovely. Convenient to everything in the historic district. We walked most everywhere, so having a dedicated parking space for our rental car was great. Excellent coffee shop next door - Savannah Coffee Roasters - was an added bonus! Very comfortable space. We enjoyed the outdoor space on the porch. The management company was responsive when we had an issue with the outdoor furniture. Highly recommend!!

Great location

Rental was clean and had everything thing we needed for our stay. We were able to walk to everything with the exception of Tybee Island of course. Southern Belle texted us to make sure we had everything we needed and to assure us that they were available if we did need them.

First Time

Our first visit to Savannah. Free parking a big plus. Within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. The bed was absolutely awesome. Adequate kitchen facilities. Enjoyed meeting the neighbors and felt very comfortable. While there was a ceiling fan on the porch it would’ve been nice to have one in the den and the bedroom. As mentioned in previous reviews, street noise could be an issue if you’re a light sleeper. It didn’t really bother us.

SCAD Soccer drop off

My wife and I brought our daughter to Savannah to start her adventure with SCAD’s women’s soccer team and Architecture School. While she was with the team getting set up for the season and school year my wife and I enjoyed a 7 day vacation in lovely Savannah. We took in all the sites and tastes of Savannah and a day trip to Charleston. The apartment was in a house that was nearly 200 years old! It was magnificently restored and had a touch of modern convenience (yes A/C). Located in a neighborhood that was there before the Civil War history abounds! There are a multitude of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance.

Great location and great place!

The size of the place was perfect for us. Close to everything yet far enough away if you didn’t want to be in the middle of downtown. Would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Savannah area. The management group was responsive, and answered all of my questions promptly.

First trip to Savannah

The picture don’t do it justice. It’s a beautiful building that is nicely maintained. The rooms were spacious, pretty, and clean. We were very comfortable. The location is perfect for walking around to see the historic district and the river.

Great Location

Private parking spot included with the unit. The unit is within walking distance to the historic district. The home was beautifully decorated with modern appliances. We really enjoyed our stay.

Loved our stay in Savannah

Loved the character & location of the Bird Baldwin House. So much better than a hotel stay. We could walk to everything and enjoyed time at Tybee island as well. You are able to hear some street noise but didn’t bother us much. Perfect for sister weekend getaway. Great coffee shop next door.
