Welcome to The Blue Bungalow! Located in the heart of downtown Appleton and close to Lawrence University, our home welcomes you with 3 bedrooms (king + queen + twin beds), modern furnishings, a fully stocked kitchen, huge bathroom, gas grill and outdoor patio area. The cozy living room has a comfortable couch, decorative fireplace, and large TV. Our neighborhood is quiet, walkable and just minutes from everything in Appleton and just 30 minutes from Green Bay and Oshkosh.

MAIN FLOOR
• Kitchen: Stainless appliances, dishwasher, quartz countertops, fully stocked cabinets with everything you need to cook a great meal
• Living Room: Comfy sectional sofa, decorative (non-functional) fireplace, TV with streaming capabilities (BYO passwords), hardwood floors. A small toy bin is available for our youngest guests.
• Dining Room: Handmade barnwood table, seating for 6
• Entry: Hooks to hang your coats and bags and plenty of room for shoes
• Front Porch: Enjoy your morning coffee on the couch during the spring/summer/fall


UPPER LEVEL
• Bedroom #1 - King bed with new, firm memory foam mattress, dresser, and large, full-length mirror.
• Bedroom #2 - Queen bed with new memory foam mattress (softer than king), TV, and electric fireplace
• Bedroom #3 - Twin bed, desk for remote work, and closet for storage
• Bathroom - Spacious full bathroom with tub/shower combination and beautiful built-in cabinets from the 1930s


LOWER LEVEL
A washer and dryer are available in the basement. Detergent is provided, along with an iron, ironing board and drying rack.


OUTDOORS
• A high-quality Weber gas grill and paved patio area make the perfect spot for outdoor grilling on a warm summer night
• Off-street parking for 2 vehicles

Note that this home is from the 1930’s. This means it has great character and unique charm, but it also means there is only one bathroom (on the second floor), and stairs that creak near the top. Sound machines are provided in every bedroom for light sleepers.


WHAT WE PROVIDE
• Shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash are available in refillable containers as we do our part to help the environment. Guests are welcome to supply their own toiletries if desired.
• Laundry detergent.
• Coffee, creamer, and sugar are available, however we highly recommend checking out one of Appleton's local coffee shops like Copper Rock Coffee Company while you are in town.

• Interested in staying for more than 30 days? Reach out for long-term pricing. Note that a separate lease may be required through our company, Home Base Rentals, to protect both of us. Stays of 30 days or more also have a cleaning fee of $225.

Christmas presemt to my sister for 2 Moms to get away. Didn't anticipate Wisconsin completely freezing over this weekend, but we hunkered in, and location made it ideal for DoorDash and a 3 minute run to Walgreens and local Aldi. Everything in rental as advertised. Beds/sleep quality are huge for us, and they were extremely comfortable (cant attest to the single in 3rd bedroom we never used it). Couch in living room very cozy. Great stay!

Cute corner house

Great house with a perfect location that is close to everything. The house was super clean, all supplies we needed were provided which was so wonderful. Check in was easy, Amy was very helpful and quick to respond to messages. We loved grilling and watching movies after taking evening walks around the neighborhood. Lots of cute houses to look at. We had little kids and were less than 5 minutes from a big park and playground for them to play.

LU Womens Basketball Games Visit

This is a great house with a great location! Easy access for us to downtown and the LU campus. Amy was extremely responsive, prompt, and easy to work with. The kitchen is the most well equipped of any I have stayed in. There is a king sized bed, which is hard to find (and we look!), a comfortable living room, and a great dining room to gather for meals. The home has great character and they did a great job modernizing it while keeping its charm. The neighborhood was very quiet, which we enjoyed. We will definitely stay here again!

Three night get away

Excellent, prompt communication. House was clean, well appointed and as described. Bed was comfortable. Enjoyed fireplace and TV set up in living room. Couches were comfortable. Didn’t use fireplace and TV in bedroom as we were too tired when hit the bed, but assume they worked well. Only one bathroom which is upstairs. This was no problem for us and it is a very large bathroom with nice shower and bathtub. Nice porch which we didn’t use but would be great in summer. Loved The Blue Bungalow!

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Blue Bungalow. The house is clean & beautifully decorated while still being cozy & comfortable. My teens loved the fast WiFi while I adored the lovely enclosed porch. The neighborhood was quiet and we all slept great on the fantastic memory foam mattresses. Home is exactly as described and Amy is a very responsive host. Any instructions were very clear making check-in a breeze and she gave some fantastic recommendations for the area. While we came to the area to attend EAA, we also had time to walk the Fox Trot Trail, explore Lawrence University campus, and pop into the nearby mall for an hour or two. So many wonderful restaurants! We were sorry we didn’t have more time to try them all. Highly recommend Mill City, India Darbar, and the Tempest Coffee Collective. Great experience overall.
