El Faro Condo 106 is a beautifully decorated & appointed pool-side condo (main level) with an extra large walk-out terrace to enjoy people watching, ocean views, sea breezes and the Caribbean vibe. This 2 bedroom & 2 bath vacation rental sleeps 5 guests in two king bedrooms with their own adjoining bathrooms & a pull-out sofa bed in the den/back entrance area. The spectacular terrace is surrounded by potted plants, steps to the sparkling pool & the Caribbean Sea mere feet away.
The fully-equipped kitchen it outfitted with dinnerware & glassware, cooking utensils, coffee maker, dishwasher, fridge & ice maker & microwave, along with a dining area for 4 guests. Spectacular & better than home! You are mere blocks away from Walmart & Mega to stock your condo with groceries, snacks, beer, wine and local fresh ingredients.
The master bedroom enjoys a king size bed, walk-out terrace and a gorgeous en-suite bathroom with rain shower. The guest bedroom has a king size bed with an en-suite bathroom that also serves as the powder room.
El Faro is a trendy fun vacation spot which has Wicky's Beach Club on site, along with private loungers, umbrellas and waiter service right to your lounger. On-site fine dining, free WiFi, a full service beach bar, infinity pool, massage therapy & underground parking is offered to our discerning guests. This condo hotel is considered by many to be one of the best beach scenes in Playa.
El Faro's spectacular stunning pool offers islands of palm trees, with comfortable cushioned loungers, day beds, outdoor showers, and massage services (an additional charge).
Fresh bottled water is included, as well as housekeeping, free calls to the US & Canada, free WiFi, a washer/dryer, quality audio system, satellite TV, & DVD/CD players. All this and the enjoyment of one of the largest patios at El Faro!
Playa del Carmen is an international vacation spot welcoming people from all over the world. A charming sea-side town that does not include high-rises and mega-resorts. Playa offers world-class everything: charm, cuisine, sightseeing, water sports, ancient Mayan ruins, zip-lining, boat tours, spas and shopping. A lively day-time beach scene with water activities and sports for everyone followed by a laid-back night-time scene with live music, fire shows and candle-light dining by the ocean.
Playa del Carmen and El Faro is easy to get to. Fly into Cancun & either take a 40-minute cab to Calle Sixth and the beach or a luxury bus to the Playa terminal just two blocks from your vacation home. (Alternately, you can fly into Cozumel and take the ferry across the Caribbean and land just a few blocks from your vacation home.) If you'd like, we are more than happy to arrange your airport transportation in a private van delivering you right to your condo door!

Paradise Found!
My husband and I had the pleasure of celebrating our 20 year anniversary at this beautiful property! The location and accommodations were top notch. We loved having our breakfast on our patio pool side with the ocean in the foreground. The staff on property saw to our every need and we were treated like first class guests as we lounged along the pool and beach. This had to be one of our favorite vacation getaways and we look forward to a return visit. The condo was roomy and spacious and had all the amenities we needed for our week stay.
GREAT LOCATION BUT A LOT OF THINGS DID NOT WORK.
A beautifully decorated first floor unit with a great patio. Nice cool AC and very convenient to get to the pool and beach. A fantastic location with excellent proximity to 5th avenue. A little difficult to get to this complex if you rent a car. Do not try to get here in the dark or you will get lost and frustrated! The price of this unit was also very reasonable. Overall, a modern unit which allows you to avoid the hounding of the vendors.
There were several things that did not work in the unit. There were two MP3 players both of which did not work. A portable Klipsch unit that does not work. The Sony receiver to play radio or MP3s also did not work. The speakers were not connected to the TV so as a result you could not play the TV through these speakers. They had a DVD player but again the Receiver was broken so you could not use the DVD player. There were two coffee makers in the unit. The Cuisanart machine did not work. The Vonage phone also did not work. We checked the router which was working but the phone was not. We believe the phone was supposed to work through the router. The complex supplies you with internet networks and passwords to access the internet. We tried multiple times to access this unit's internet but it also was not functioning. We were able to access neighboring condos internet and the connections were sketchy at best. The best internet was after 9 am. Go near the pool and access the Salesroom network. It worked the best. The combo washer dryer took 3 hours from start to finish to wash one load.
Again, this is a great unit and a great place to stay. We are hopeful that in writing this review that the owners will respond to it and repair all of the problems with the unit. We had a great time but when you get the impression that you are renting a new luxury unit with modern amenities that you should not come across this multitude of problems.
We let the front desk staff know about the problems. They said they had to let the owners know of these problems.
What I do not understand is that we paid the extra $99 for accidental insurance in case we broke something in the unit. Not sure why we paid this extra charge if the funds are not going to be used to replace items that are not functioning.
