Great location in St Mary’s. Couple minutes walk to the Cumberland Island ferry and town restaurants. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay while visiting the area.
Very spacious accommodations, perfect location, comfy beds and lovely porch. Would stay here again! Note: there is no TV unless you have a streaming subscription.
We have stayed in this property for three years. It is a comfortable, roomy house. We have enjoy the quiet neighborhood and having easy access to many things to do in that area. The hosts are easy to work with and contact. We will definitely rent this property again.
The house was beautiful, comfortable and had all the necessities without being crowded with a bunch of leftovers from other guests in the drawers. The host responded very promptly to all communications. We will definitely consider staying here again!
We had the perfect stay in the Cannonball House! It was beautifully furnished, cozy and very comfortable. Loved the big, covered porches for AM coffee. And the comfy TV area just off the kitchen.
We enjoyed staying at the Cannonball House in beautiful St. Marys, Georgia. The home was built in 1820 and it did not disappoint in the historical category! The home is quite large with 3 bedrooms and each bedroom has its own attached bath. The upstairs bed was very comfortable and the showers had plenty of water pressure and hot water! The kitchen has everything you need for either a short or long stay. The home is full of beautiful antique furniture, chock full of Christmas decor! The porch is huge with lots of seating and very comfortable with the ceiling fans. Air conditioner worked great! Highly recommend the Cannonball House!
House was great. Plenty of room. We were there for a reunion and some of the other people went on a historical walking tour and came by the house because it was on the tour. Only issue we had was a dead weak battery in the door lock. Contacted the host and they sent someone out to fix it.
We enjoyed the “Cannonball House”!! It was very convenient and walking distance to the town of St. Mary’s. It was perfect for a large group with many gathering rooms and and three bathrooms. We loved the home and highly recommend it.
Amazing place, our family appreciated the holiday decorations. We will be back. Looking forward to the next time. Thanks to the host for the hard work making us feel special
We really enjoyed this property. It’s walking distance to the waterfront and in a very quiet neighborhood made it a great relaxing place to vacation with the family!
The location is excellent for just relaxing and for short day trips to Jekyll and Cumberland Island. However, the listing several items that were not available. There was not a usable grill, no hair dryer in the bathrooms. A Keurig with pods is there but no regular coffee maker. I was disappointed at the lack of places to store away clothes and other items in the upstairs bedroom. Overall a great place to stay.
Beautiful historic property. We loved how it was decorated. You could feel the history but at the same time it was nicely updated and very comfortable. It had everything we needed and it was very close to the ferry and downtown.
