Ocean Beach Family Retreat

Questo carattere rinnovato casa sulla spiaggia è a meno di 100 metri da una delle spiagge più belle del Northland. Ocean Beach è appena scesa dalla costa di Tutukaka, 2 spiagge a sud di Patua. Per raggiungere la spiaggia dal bach, non si attraversa nemmeno una strada, basta semplicemente seguire un sentiero privato di 20 metri attraverso le dune di sabbia. L'area offre un tocco di vita da vecchia scuola NZ, con numerose attività per il tempo libero tra cui surf, canottaggio e pesca, passeggiate costiere attraverso la vicina riserva DOC e una varietà di spiagge aggiuntive per accogliere ogni variazione meteorologica. Ocean Beach è a soli 30 minuti da Whangarei o 2 ore e 1/2 di auto da Auckland. Questa casa ben attrezzata dispone di 4 camere doppie (una con letto a castello e letti singoli) più cameretta per bambini, ampia zona giorno al piano inferiore e al piano superiore una sala giochi con biliardo, 2 bagni rinnovati e una grande cucina con 2 frigoriferi Sezione di 1000 mq con giardini lussureggianti. Goditi splendide viste sul mare dall'ultimo piano: puoi sdraiarti a letto e controllare il surf! Un ponte offre il sole della colazione con vista sul mare, mentre è possibile barbecue sul ponte posteriore al tramonto. Splendide vedute della riserva e Bream Head completano l'ambiente tranquillo. C'è un ampio parcheggio in loco.
Condizioni speciali:
Soggiorno minimo di 2 notti tutto l'anno. Tranne i fine settimana lunghi - minimo 3 notti e minimo 7 notti in alta stagione da metà dicembre a fine gennaio. Le famiglie sono preferite (ospitare comodamente 6 adulti e 6 bambini - 8 adulti max).

Fumare permesso solo all'esterno.

Wonderful family house in perfect location.

This was a wonderful house for our group of friends. Lots of space, amazing kitchen, so close to the beach and lovely and private. Would love to stay again.

Kiwi adventure weekend

We made a long weekend out of the Saturday multi event race and the property was fantastic for that. A short walk from the beach, well stocked and an easy transfer point for the race it worked well for the two families. Loved the proximity to the beach, watched the sunrise, it really was as an ace location.

Family getaway

we packed up grandma, the dogs and the kids and headed to the beach. Kids enjoyed the sandhills and surf.dogs enjoyed the beach walks, grandma enjoyed the change of pace. We were abit disappointed that the oven was smoky so didn't use and the Bbq was grubby so also didn't use which was a shame. Overall finish of home could have been better but overall it was good.

Fabulous family holiday

We had such a great time at Ocean beach. It was the perfect spot for an extended family to get away - lots of room upstairs for the kids to have their own space in the games lounge and the adults could be downstairs doing their own thing. Its an easy walk down a lane to the beach so we spent a lot of time swimming and walking down there. The kitchen is new and really fantastic, perfect for making big meals. Thanks for having us, brilliant holiday!

A super property for a family

Fabulous positioned property. Worked well with our family dynamic of teens and younger children. Fantastic kitchen, having 2 fridges was a huge bonus. Easy walk to the beach. Ideally situated if you want to do a days walk in the area. Property manager was excellent to deal with. Thank you.

Easter holiday

House was clean and so well equipped and fantastic location will definitely come back. Short walk to the stunning beach. Kids loved the ping pong and movies at night. Was a bit tricky to find at night in the dark and we ended up at the neighbours property trying to get in there but we eventually found where we had to go! Otherwise it was absolutely perfect! Loved it!!

Another great holiday at Ocean Beach

We were a group of friends staying in this spacious, relaxed house a short work from the stunning Ocean Beach. Unfortunately it rained hard most days of our week long stay. But the house is big enough for us all to still have a good time. We played games, went for wet walks and ate and drank like kings so it was still fun. In a smaller house, it may not have been. We loved the large, well equipped kitchen, the 2 living areas, the ping pong table and view from the top floor.

Bach experience at a premium price

We booked at very short notice and the owners were upfront regarding the fire place not functioning which we discussed and were fine with.They, very generously, let us use their body boards which are not included in the rental. The bach is fairly run down and very casual; it is not fussy which works with children who enjoyed the pool table , boards games and the dvd player. The house is a short walk to the beach and the 5 rooms can accommodate large groups. The kitchen is well equipped and in perfect condition. However, the check in process was very obscure with a complete lack of instruction regarding bedsheets and towels: when we arrived the beds were not made and we couldn't find the bed sheets; I managed to call the owner which was lucky as there is no service at the house. She gave us the location of a key hidden in a very random place. It took some exploration to find the key and then the correct size fitted sheets. There were no towels and finally found 3 really tired beach towels that we had to share between my husband and our 3 kids. There were no garbage bags available so we used paper bags which we dropped to the closest waste disposal unit in Parua on our way back. Overall, we loved Ocean beach but not having the basics available at the house hindered our enjoyment of it. A high price commands a minimum of expectation which wasn't delivered.

Ocean beach

We really enjoyed our stay. Outdoor playground for the children & a table tennis table. Unfortunately for our the majority of our group who had to communicate with the outside world there was no cell phone coverage & no wifi which meant we had to drive to get coverage sometimes 2 or 3 times a day

Whangarei Heads Annual Holiday

Great location, ocean beach is 1 minute away, stunning walks around heads. Overall a lovely holiday. Holiday house is practical. Playground unsafe and hard to get reception in area. No broom and cleaning stuff for last day clean up. Borrowed family broom when they visited 😂 Would’ve loved to be able to use surfboards in garage. Overall, a relaxing holiday. Thank you

just returned home after a good time with family at Ocean Beach - as far as that goes - thank you It is regrettable I need to confirm the following :- 1. the TV was absent - in my limited knowledge of Audio/TV the I believe there was no TV decoder present ?? - a "Dish TV remote" was but no decoder ?? 2. the XBox proved inoperative to all attempts - and there were a couple of XBox enthusiasts that were unable to obtain service 3. the DVD player was the only "success" in this department - BUT a couple of the DVD's that could have provided entertainment (The Wolf Of Wall St - to name one) proved useless as we were unable to get past the security seal !!!!!! 4. "we" took due heed , over your stated protocols with the waste bins BUT were disappointed to find small bin bag in each of the two main bins - one of which likely had a nappy in as it "WAS HIGH" and in addition a discarded babys undergarment accompanied the smelling bag. To call a halt to this one, we retrieved the offending material and managed to lose it into our own disposal ................................. 5. "we" also took heed of protocols with the fridge and freezers - in that we ignored the numerous items left in the one fridge - and simply worked around them - and left them in place at the end of the week !!! As for the freezers - we simply did without them !! any content and/or mess in the freezer compartments was NOT of our doing. I have to say that for both items 4 & 5, I would have expected the supervising entity to have dealt with all matters before our arrival A couple of other aspects which normally I would not have commented on - the Master Bedroom had two bedside lights - BUT my light was unable to reach a power source so was useless !! we would also have appreciated a soft broom and/or vacuum I can confirm we did not use either of the BBQ's ((we took our own Weber)) and we did not use/install the umbrella We did attempt to erect the PortaCot - but our efforts were in vain as the mechanisms to hold the upper frame in alignment was clearly faulty - my sons baby had to sleep with his parents - NOT an ideal situation. I suspect that a previous user failed to understand the release mechanisms for the fold down - and has forced the situation - resulting in the damaged cot. We are NOT responsible for this damage - we simply bring the situation to your attention. In hind sight - an "emergency contact" would have been reassuring

Great house in ocean beach

All beds were comfy and the kitchen is well stocked with plenty of plates and cutlery. Plenty of room for our 6 adults and 4 children.

Plenty of space

Lots of space to spread out, nice big modern kitchen. Close to the beach, and perfect for walking the Te Whara track. Our trip was the first half of September, and if you’re not going in summer make sure to take warm clothes, as it can be a bit cold with the wind whipping through.

Absolutely beautiful.

Everything was great. From initial inquiry to checking out after our stay was awesome. If we didn't have to go to work on Monday then would have stayed two more days.
