We had a wonderful time, the accommodation was warm, cozy & the perfect place to unwind for a few days, Shirley was a phenomenal host who went above and beyond. I would absolutely reccomend the orchard cottage to anyone.

We had the best time at the Orchard Cottage, it made our time in the Coromandel even more memorable. The cottage has been dressed beautifully, it has absolutely everything you need. And so private for being on the same property as the hosts. You really didnt know each other were there. We will love to plan a trip to stay there again in Spring/Summer.

Lovely place to spend a bit of time, cottage was great, with everything you need, including very comfy bed. We stayed on the coldest night of the year and it was still really cosy with the woodburner. Lots to do in the area with the stream at the bottom of the garden and Coromandel village centre only a couple of minutes down the road as well as the remarkable railway/pottery virtually next door. Great hosts, welcomed us quite late in the evening with the fire lit in advance. All this and able to bring our furry friend on holiday too.

So cosy we stayed in instead of going out, just to enjoy the cottage. It was raining as we stayed in Winter. Cottage has everything you need and more. Beautiful bed linen, handpicked flowers and fruit from the orchard. Loved it.

Lovely place to stay. The cottage and gardens were cozy, peaceful and well cared for. Really friendly and welcoming host who took great care of us. We had everything we needed and more (well stocked herbs and spices, hot drinks milk, pamphlets etc) and loved the extra touches such as the flowers.

A wonderful place to stay and a great host. We just loved our time staying in Shirley's cottage and really appreciated Shirley's thoughtfulness and attention to anticipating the needs of travellers who come to stay. Shirley was a great host and helped us with ideas for things to do in the Coromandel region. The setting is wonderful - quiet and peaceful - and yet it's just a few minutes from the centre of Coromandel town.

They had everything we needed for kitchen utensils and in terms of sauces, seasoning, and so on. They offered us to stay for free if the cyclone prevented us from going home, too. Highly recommended.
