Ett sovrum cedar stuga, inbÀddat i en stuga trÀdgÄrd med en vÀg som leder till frukttrÀdgÄrdarna. Fastigheten ligger pÄ 1. 5 hektar, helt fristÄende med en QUEEN sÀng / sovrum och NYA badrum (juli 2011), plus ny bÀddsoffa (Nov 2013) i öppen planlösning. HÀrlig varm stÀlle att bo i antingen sommar eller vinter som det Àr norrlÀge och har ett eldstrÄle för vintern, med luftkonditionering och vÀrmare efter behov.

Fastigheten Àr en oas av en mÀngd frukter i frukttrÀdgÄrden som tÀcker fastigheten. De flesta tider pÄ Äret finns det frukt att prova. PÄ baksidan av fastigheten Àr Driving Creek ström dÀr det första guldet upptÀcktes i Nya Zeeland och idag hittar du kristaller dÀr för en souvenir.

Inom gÄngavstÄnd (5min) Àr den berömda Driving Creek Railway, dÀr Barry Brickell, en vÀrldsberömd keramiker har etablerat en truely fasinerande miljö med pottare och hans vÀrldsberömda jÀrnvÀg PLUS det finns nu Driving Creek Wildlife Sanctuary och nytt konstgalleri som kommer att utstÀll Barrys privata samling av mycket famouse artisits att inte glömma den fantastiska utsikten över habour och öar. Se Àven ÄterstÀllandet av inhemska trÀd och vilda liv. PÄ vÀgen sluta av vid den fina Driving Creek Cafe.

Den historiska byn Coromandel ligger under 3 km, med fantastiska restauranger och hantverksbutiker. De 3 lokala pubarna ger alla artighet till dörr till dörr. Stugan Àr 7-8 minuter till nÀrmsta sÀkra stranden eller under 30 minuter till den vackra Whangapoua, NEW CHUMS och Matarangi Beaches pÄ östkusten.
Det finns ocksÄ bussturer till inhemska Giant Kauri Trees, konstnÀrsstudior att besöka, bra fiskeomrÄde - om du inte har en bÄt skulle vi gÀrna organisera en resa till dig eller en resa till Kap kanske.

The house is un a great location a couple of minutes from Coromandel town.The house is lovely with everything we could have need plus some.The garden setting is very special and is so relaxing.Shirley was fantastic. Helpful, friendly but not overbearing.

The cottage was lovely. Shirley our host was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for her. We loved the log fire. The bed was comfort , In fact it was all very good. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

The best of the best!

The property was spotless, filled with every type of amenity you could wish for. Furthermore, there were board games and movies to watch if you managed to get bored. The gardens are lovely and the plethora of fruit trees are a wonderful sight. Shirley was a fantastic host, and we could tell that she truly cared about our wellbeing.11/10, would give this stay 6 stars if I could.

Home away from home

Had everything we required to stay for day to day living.The beautiful fresh flower arrangement was a lovely touch.Unfortunately the fireplace was not working, which was the reason we booked, but happy there was a heat pump available.The outdoor deck area and steps was very dangerous and slippery (needs waterblasting).Owner was very communicating and apologized for the inconvenience due to not being able to maintain certain things around the property.

Relaxing and peaceful stay

Well presented and comfortable stay in a peaceful environment a short drive from Coromandel township. I would highly recommend for singles or couples looking to explore the area or for a quiet break. Beautiful garden setting, lovely welcoming hosts and vibe. I would definitely stay here again.

A week in the Coromandel with our border collie.

We had a wonderful time at Orchard Cottage. The place was perfect and the hosts were lovely. We were able to take our dog to lots of beaches and walking tracks close by. The cottage was ideal for us and we were made to feel very welcome. We would definately recommend.

A Hidden Gem

The entire property is immaculately kept, incredibly clean and well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies. Shirley was so lovely and really hospitable to all of us. If you’re introverts (like us) don’t be put off by the hosts sharing the property. They were hugely respectful of our privacy and let us roam around their gardens like they were our own. Shirley genuinely cared about us getting a break from our usual lives and it really showed in her attention to detail throughout the cottage (there were fresh bouquets from the garden waiting for us upon arrival!). There is so much to do in the Coromandel but we found ourselves not wanting to leave the cottage because it was such a natural sanctuary. We will definitely be back!

An oasis

We couldn't have had a more lovely place to stay with the well equipped cottage and the wonderful garden giving such privacy. Shirley and Tim the best hosts we could wish for. Hope your broken leg heals well very soon, Tim. We were pleased that Coromandel town wasn't too far from Whitianga which had more things to see and do than Coromandel town and also had the supermarkets where the groceries were cheaper for self catering purposes and better stocked for Coeliacs.

Very quiet and peaceful!

We loved the cottage. Very quiet and peaceful, we'd been gone from home for 5 weeks, and we spent our last 5 days here relaxing before heading back to the United States..We eat at different restaurants in town, delightful! We drove on 309, and went on the Drying Creek Railroad train ride, very close to the cottage..

Brilliant
