The host was incredible, from the clear communications, to the welcoming bottle of wine in the fridge and all the delicious treats left for breakfast. The house is fabulous and the gardens are exceptional. Ideally located to explore Marlborough wine country. Highly recommend a visit.

Idyllic oasis

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Eliza’s cottage. The setting was just dreamy and magical - our kids loved being outside exploring. The house was warm and well equipped and the supplies provided were a step beyond! The breakfast goodies were such a treat! We found it relaxing and charming and it was the perfect spot for our family weekend getaway. The hosts were very attentive when we needed but allowed us our space and privacy. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Blenheim.

Perfect

Upon entering the cottage we found a beautiful assortment of produce on the counter and a well-stocked fridge — not just milk but eggs, bacon, and a few other delicious surprises. Fresh bread was delivered not long after our arrival. The house is beautifully decorated as the pictures depict and the diversity of plants in the garden amazing. Vineyards surrounding everything. The morning we left our kind host allowed us to join a tour she was giving of her own gardens located just down the lane.

Amazingly Magical Stay

The stay at Eliza’s cottage was a whimsical experience from the beautiful garden to the home made breakfast breads and jams our host our did herself. Our kids also loved a splash in the pool in the afternoons and picking lemons off the many fruit trees in the garden. What a beautiful place to stay while enjoying the lovely wine region of NZ.

Perfect place in the middle of wine country

We loved our stay at Wendy’s home while visiting the wine country of Blenheim. It’s perfectly located in the middle of the majority of the wineries and sits on a gorgeous piece of property. The garden is spectacular and the view is picturesque - we loved having so much space to relax and enjoy after exploring all day. Wendy prepared yummy bread and stocked the fridge/pantry with breakfast items for our stay. It was wonderful to have breakfast items all set for us the next morning after we traveled for many hours the day before. And, the kitchen has everything you need to prepare any type of meal! The house itself is a great size, especially for two adults. The living area is cozy with windows in all directions so you can enjoy the views. It was great to have an air conditioner and heater - we experienced all sorts of weather, so we were very comfortable during the day and night. The house also has a large washer & dryer which came in handy! Wendy was a great communicator and always quick to respond. She gave us helpful hints for local restaurants and which wineries to visit. Whatever we needed, she was available immediately and eager to make us happy. We’d definitely stay at Wendy’s home again and highly recommend others to reserve it when visiting Blenheim!

Incredible place!

What a lovely cottage. The surroundings were unbeatable, looking onto the vines. Great BBQ. Wendy was really quick to reply throughout and very helpful, as was Jessica. They very professionally handled a huge cleanup task from the previous guests, with everything ready on time, including fresh fruit and beautiful homemade bread. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

What a wonderful haven. We could have stayed for weeks.

A home away from home with thoughtful touches of fresh flowers, homemade bread and preserves and yummy breakfast fixings. Very comfortable beds and nice linens. Set in the countryside less than 10 minutes from downtown Blenheim. Highly recommended.

This is deservedly one of the the top rating Bach’s in NZ.

Wendy’s extra touches were just incredible. Hone made bread (I really need the recipe), tiny, jewel- like preserves she makes herself and eggs from her chooks. The tour of the magnificent garden surrounding her own house was an added bonus. Pudding the sheep was a highlight. I can’t recommend Wendy’s place highly enough

Beautiful cottage

Eliza's cottage is one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in. Located in stunning vineyard scenery, it is wonderfully quiet and private yet only a short drive to central Blenheim. From the moment you arrive, you'll be spoilt by the owner's thoughtful touches. Bread, wine, and breakfast condiments on arrival, a daily newspaper delivered to your door, a fully equipped kitchen, different coffee varieties - it's all there. Lemon and orange trees in the garden invite you to make your own fresh juice. There is a small pool in the backyard as well as a large garden for outdoor games. Our stay was a dream, and we will certainly be back.

Highly recommended - fantastic!!

What a find. We almost don't want to share this little gem in case it gets too popular as we will definitely stay here again. The extras like the freshly baked artisan bread, neighbourhood eggs, homemade jams etc etc... just add to the incredible experience and value. The gardens and view.. glorious and your host makes you feel like its your home. Its got everything and its worth every cent. Don't hesitate to stay here, you won't regret it. :)

C'est LA location à retenir si vous souhaiter visiter la région ! La maison et l'accueil méritent plus que 5 étoiles ! Wendy est une personne généreuse qui nous a réservé un accueil trÚs chaleureux et qui nous a donné de bons conseils de visites. La maison est magnifique, tout confort et trÚs bien équipée. De plus, elle est entourée par un immense jardin trÚs agréable. Notre seul regret c'est de n'avoir pas eu assez de temps pour pouvoir échanger avec Wendy.

Amazing Cottage in the Heart of Wine Country

A really beautiful and well maintained cottage with some exceptional personal touches, such as fresh baked bread, a bottle of wine and newspaper for when you arrive. An amazing garden to watch the sunset over the vineyards. We took our dog for a sunrise walk through the vineyards as well. The cottage is easy to find with easy access to the Picton Ferry and the wineries of Blenheim. As we loaded the car and pulled away my wife said "you know we are coming back."

Charming Light filled apartment in the heart of Lyttleton.

We loved our stay here. The very tasteful apartment has everything you need with fantastic views of both the port and the hills. With great cafes and restaurants literally on our doorstep we loved experiencing the youthful vibe of this lovely part of Christchurch. Liam is a thoughtful host. It’s a very high recommendation from us.

We live next door in the original century plus old farmhouse now restored for modern life which is surrounded by a 3 acre garden which is another Garden of National Significance as awarded by the New Zealand Gardens Trust. Our main business is growing grapes but we love the happy positive energy our holidaying visitors bring to the farm.

Fifteen years ago we bought the next door farm plus a house. This new house had an extensive garden dating back to the late 1960’s and 70’s that needed some renovating and a charming pool. It was perfect for a holiday home.

Over the years I have stayed in many holiday homes in many parts of the world and I have become rather opinionated about what makes this accommodation work well for the holidaymaker. It was great fun putting these ideas into action and creating my dream holiday home. However, uniquely, I have never stayed in my dream holiday home!

We chose Marlborough to be our forever home nearly 2 decades ago. It has a great sunny climate and is filled with every outdoor activity imaginable which is important to us. There are stunning views in Marlborough and Eliza's has more than its fair share. The dramatic sunsets over the Richmond Ranges are a nightly pleasure.
