Perfect getaway

Absolutely perfect location- we didn't need to rent a car and got to explore so much of New Orleans. The Wieland Suite was beautiful and comfortable. Highly recommend this location!

Anniversary trip

We loved our stay. The apartment was in a great location and in a beautiful historic building. Beth was very helpful. Highly recommend if you’re visiting New Orleans.

Loved the location! Walking distance to the Quarter but plenty of local spots to entertain and to eat! Had a wee bit of trouble with the lock system but the hosts were very communicative.

Excellent location in a fabulous historic home

Set between the Quarter and Frenchman Street, this home is perfect for those who like to walk and explore. Beth is an excellent host and quite knowledgeable about her home and the area. Have a cocktail in the courtyard or on the balcony, if you are lucky to book one of those rooms. You will mot be disappointed.

Fantastic stay in NOLA

Wonderful accommodations steps away from the French Quarter. We stayed in comfort and luxury. However, the neighborhood is very noisy at night, especially with obnoxiously loud cars that pass by. Some sketchy people hanging out by the front steps or along the side street into the wee hours, often yelling at each other.

A piece of history

My daughter and I took a girl’s trip. We enjoyed our stay at the Lanaux Mansion in the Wieland Suite. It was very clean, well set up. I love the history of the house and the manager was gracious enough to give us a tour of the main house. It was in close proximity to everything, but wasn’t noisy at night.

Wonderful experience

Absolutely beautiful suite in an historical mansion. Everything about this place is amazing. The property owner, Beth, gives a wonderful tour of the mansion and its history dating back to the late 1800s. The details of her mother Ruth’s efforts to update the property while maintaining historical accuracy were very interesting. The Wieland suite is lovely with a comfortable king bed, washer/dryer, and kitchenette. This is the ideal place to stay and the price is just right!

Excellent Historical Property (Weiland Suite)

I'm a frequent NOLA visitor (former resident) and wanted a home for latter part of a holiday week close to Frenchmen St. It would be almost impossible to beat the historical value of the mansion and proximity to both the Quarter and Frenchmen St. The Weiland suite is spacious with all amenities which is valuable if you plan on cooking. Andrea (cohost) was extremely helpful and prompt to assist with everything needed. Highly recommended especially for history fans in particular, but anyone wanting a great stay in this part of the city.

I cannot wait to visit again.

I have stayed all over the French Quarter and the surrounding areas and this is my favorite place to stay by far. The property felt very safe, secure and private. Our room was fresh and clean. The mattress was so comfortable, I haven't slept that well in years. Beth was an amazing host and gave us amazing tour of the main house filled with tons history. She was able to suggest places to eat and was even able to get us reservation at one of the best restaurants in town. Thank you for welcoming us to your home and we can't wait to come back.

I’m a local so I know where I want to stay

I stayed in this delightful property for Mardi Gras. It’s the perfect location if you are in for a weekend regardless of what event you are visiting New Orleans for. Easy in and out by car compared to most properties in the French quarter, situated between the French quarter and the Frenchman area. The excellent off street parking was perfect. In addition to the location, the building is old and grand. The room is on the first floor and it is a busy area so there was some street noise but the window unit air conditioner which work perfectly well too cool the room this time of year drowned out passer byes just fine.

French Quarter Perfect

So I’m a local, grew up in NO, went to Tulane, now live 45 minutes outside of town. This location is perfect for me for anything in the Quarter. It’s on the “far side” of the Quarter but that makes driving in and out a breeze and it right at the Frenchman area where many locals go for music at night. You can walk to anywhere in the quarter, the canal street side is a bit far but I don’t do much there. It’s a bit far to Saenger and the other theatres but NO has a good Uber system. Option for offstreet parking is hard to beat. Thanks.

Historic Mansion

Lovely apartment within the historic mansion. Outer gate has lock with codes for each guests. Very comfortable bed. Full size refrigerator with freezer underneath. Washer, dryer and microwave. Owner had small milk cartons and orange juices in refrigerator for us. There is a window unit that puts out a good amount of both heat and AC. Courtyard outside your door. Situated across the street from the French Quarter and around the corner from the music of Frenchman Street.

perfect location to see the french quarter

We stayed at the mansion for 10 days for a halloween trip. Knowing practically nothing about new orleans, we lucked out finding this place. The mansion is beautiful, although i didnt get to see inside of it. The weiland suite has a separate entrance which was great for us since we were out all night and slept all day. Our host thought of all details. there was body wash and shampoo in the shower, and breakfast snacks in the refrigerator. There is even a white noise machine and earplugs to help you sleep better. There is also a washer and dryer for your use which came in handy. We parked our car in the decatur lot for the week which is just a short walk away from the mansion. we only took the car out of the lot one time and just walked everywhere. Its a wonderful location to see everything in the french quarter. I love staying in older homes and really appreciate the the woodwork, ironwork and the other things you dont get when you stay in a hotel. It was clean, and comfortable and i enjoyed every second i was in new orleans. I cannot wait to go back.

Perfect Little Suite

Beth was great, super easy to communicate with and responds quickly! We loved our little spot in the Marigny. Incredibly easy to get around and felt super safe doing so. The space was lovely and spacious. Plenty of room to unpack and get settled (even though we had a short trip). We will be staying here again!
